Hmpf, enjoying the conflict Shaon? You always were a bit of a saddist. I think you may have gotten ahead of yourself there DP, a little competition never hurt anyone.

Violet has a look of shock as Au'Mauri becomes angered at Blackfoots and her shouting. She could understand his anger, and chose to avoid all eye contact with anyone. Having finally finished her bread, she picks up a fork, and begins to gently tease out the salad, occasionally putting a piece in her mouth.

Arnott throws one of his precious acorns at Net, "That's my sister you're talking about, watch it!" He stands up on two legs, trying to make himself look bigger, although, to many, he'd just look cuter more so than anything else....

Wow, you are quick to anger. DP's gunna have a lot of fun with you.

*Net leans over to Arnott, handing him back his Acorn.*

He may act all high and mighty but I think that when you get right down to it, he's got a soft-spot for kids like you. Don't be afraid to use to your advantage if you have to.

Arnott taking the acorn back, resists the temptation to hug it, and whispers back into Nets ear, "I knew I'd like you. Any way I can contact you, if I need, tips." He smile mischeviously.

Violet had eaten about half of her salad, and as she looked up, she saw that Au'Mauri had finished his dinner, as had Blackfoot. Placing her knife and fork onto the plate, "I'm full. But, uh, thankyou, for the meal." She picks up a serviette, and wipes her mouth and hands, before scrumpling it up, and dropping it onto the plate.

She points at the acorns, "Do you mind if I, uh, take those. They'll be for Arnott."

"Go ahead, but be quick about it." DP said, getting up from his meal. As soon as Au'Marui finished setting his chair back under, Blackfoot follows suit, in a strict, military fashion.

DP then turns around and heads back towards another door, which held another portal. "Well, if everyone is done, We'll head to the arena. I've had some of Danikat's students from the Training Dojo stop by to view the battle. Hope no one minds the pressure" DP said, disappearing through the Portal, with Blackfoot following behind.

Arnott mostly phases his body into an intangiable form as Net throws the swords towards, him. But with some effort, he manages to catch it, forming one of his hands back into solidity. Still on two feet, he begins to swish it about, 'arring' like a pirate.

Violet just stares at him, thinking there's going to be trouble. Quickly standing up, and pushing her own chair back underneath the table, after a second glance, quickly rushes towards the acorns, and tips them into her bag, and grabs Arnott by the scruff of his neck, and quickly walks towards the portal.

She takes one last look behind her, and steps into the portal, all the while ignoring the protestations from Arnott. She appears on the otherside within the arena....

As they stepped through the portal, they came onto a very spacious, but traditional space, complete with matted floor. DP had already taken off his shoes, and was meeting with a woman who appared to be a third cat, a third bat, and a third human. As they looked up, the secomd tier was full of students, here to watch the fight. DP returned to Violet and Blackfoot.

"Ok, Everything is ready. Arnott, if you will come with me, We'll be watching this battle from the balcony. You two, I'll give you the signal when to start. And blackfoot, you might want to get rid of that thing before it become your downfall again."

Blackfoot: Yes Sir.

Blackfoot took off his trenchcoat, throwing it through the portal, which then shuts down. Stepping onto the matt, he walks to the far side of the room. Turning to face Violet, He starts to change. His body stretches and contorts, morphing into the shape of a lion, with a pig's snout and tusks. A set of bat wings grows form his back, and a tail sprouts as his clothes absorb into his skin. His skin then takes on a dark, stonish appearence. Once done, His eyes sudden start to glow green.

Arnott shakes his head at Au'Mauri, and, becoming intangiable, "Where my sis' goes, I go. That's what I'm supposed to do. Only way out of this furball body..............." He stops talking, mouth dropping as far as his body would allow as he watches Blackfoot transform.

He'd seen gargoyles, as had Violet, but, he'd never expected to have to deal with one in person. Thats what stone masons were for, "I, I, I, I can't let her get ripped apart by that, thing!"

Violet simply froze when she saw the transformation. She wanted to object, but she knew she'd be laughed at. All she could do is rely on her own skills, if Au'Mauri didn't interfere that is. Clutching her satchel, she nervously and timidly enters the arena, trying to keep as far back from Blackfoot as possible.

Arnott simply floats just above her shoulder, trying to tug her back with his solidified hand, the copycat blade in the other...

*Unfortunately for arnott, DP has the unique ability to selectively have parts of his body go intangible. Arnott realizes this when DP's intangible hand grabs the scruff of his neck and carries him upstairs*

DP: I know you were sent to protect her, but part of protecting her is not letting her have any dillusions about what she will face one day. If she realizes early on what danger is out there, specially for a young goddess to be, she'll be more apt to take her training seriously. And I can tell you, there are plenty of people both in this realm and the Immortal realm that would love nothing more than to prevent any new Gods from ascending.

*Blackfoot stands up on his rear legs, assuming a battle pose. HIs mission was clear. He was not to harm the new ward. Simply defend himself and subdue her as quickly as possible. Blackfoot just hoped his Gargoyle instincts wouldn't take over to fast. But there was a backup plan for that...if the fight got to such a point, DP would break up the match and help him calm down again. The Gargoyle desperately prayed it wouldn't come to that.*

Arnott desperately tries to squirm free from DP's hands, but, he was simply no match. He didn't even know what to do with the copycat blade. Twisting to face DP, "While I'm here, you complete fool of a God, I'm to face conflict with her.

That's why I'm here. You really don't understand what would happen if you let her get injured pointlessly out there. Grah!" He gives up struggling, and tries to bite Au'Mauri's hand.

Violet on the other hand, was thinking how she was going to get away from such a beast as Blackfoot. She had only a few options, all of which might not even work. Physically, she was no match for him. She only had one certainty.

She takes her eyes of him, to look around the many eyes looking down upon her, staring intently. How more embarrassed could she feel. Those eyes were knowing eyes. Beads of sweat run down her forehead...

*DP "feels" the bite take hold of his hand, but it remans clamped tight on the cruff of Arnott's neck.*

DP: (to Arnott) You know your not going to win, just give it up...Or I can conjour up a cage to keep you in, if that's your preference.

*DP then looks down at the two combatants. They both appear ready for battle, so DP decides to start things*

I believe you both know how to have a good clean spar. For convenience, we'll only be going one round for today. I think Violet's had a busy enough day as it is. *looking around to the crowd* Afterwards, class, Blackfoot will be avialable for practice and classes.

So, if there are no objections....

Fight!
