Labs?

If you've seen me or my profile, or how I RP, you'll know I love my gadgets

...and they keep the Wamphyri away from me...most of the time

So I was thinking, perhaps a place could be set up for those of us who like inventing to well, post our inventions and what they do and look like etc etc etc.

It also might work for genetic experiments as well?

It might stop clogging up of RP profiles?

... Just a suggestion...

*Goes off to stop one of her inventions from exploding, doesn't get there quick enough and the place gets covered in a clear gel*

You uh, might not wanna go near anything flammable until you've washed this off...

Well, you could use the Amphitheatre if you wished to get technical with your inventions, or if you wished to RP their development. Alternatively, you could also use the Hall of Records, as it'd be recording stuff you plan to use in RPs.

Is any of this helpful, or did you mean you wanted a different kind of place?

The Genetic respository is set up just as much for genetic experiments as they are for races.

As for inventions, that's going to take some thinking.

As you are not planning to sell these in the store, they wouldn't really go into the Market Place.

BUT, I'm not sure of the general popularity of the idea, whether you'd be the only person doing this or whether everyone would be jumping on. I'll have to consider this one a bit.

In this labs thing then, I've a few ideas myself.

Think about it, people could amiably discuss theories behind technology in this labs place.

The same goes for other things like powers.

Some profiles have the need to explain in depth about abilities or technologies. If they had a sepearate area to post, profiles would be easier to read, and if people wish to read in depth, then they'd know where to look.

Like I say, it could be an oppurtunity to get theories and fact out there. Merge various ideas and create new ones. And get into friendly debate/discussion.

I fully support this idea. I could play around with Melesi technology, technology from the Alvari Cluster (the part of the Universe the Feylon hail from) and even Neomeme technology. Yes. I want a lab sub-forum now! >_>

Well, I've kinda changed my mind on this one. Some of the recent stuff I've been doing in the Kumo Story thread with Shaon is lab stuff, and it's really interesting to think of all the different ideas I can come up with for ways to use Parasitian genetic material...

Perhaps you should try polling the idea Az, to see if you can get a majority backing it?

Its a great idea. And two thirds of the characters I use at Black Star, were made in a lab. But one was made in a lab, and others were part of it. Still counts to me.

A labs thread. I am not necessarily a man of technology. But secrets within The Sanctuary may be revealed, and their details, outside of the Sanctuary, would need a place for all to read.

The labs, would most likely be the best place to describe them. I must admit, this would be an ideal place.

The Lab is now open. AS a treat, I've created it as "The Underground Bunker" from the Goron 18 story, the one DP "finds" Goron 18 in.
