*Fade seems to copy Phases pose her short slightly taps his, and looking at him with her cold watery grey eyes, you'd think she'd smile at Phases comment but she does no such thing. Instead she merely answers him clearly*

No. I intend to spar with you. You should have no trouble keeping yourself from serious injury

*With that she swings the short sword at him*

Phase watches as Fade mimics his stance, unsure as to whether or not she knows this particular style or not. Then, as she swings her sword at him, she completely leaves herself vulnerable to attack. Phase blocks her attack with his sword, keeping his on the inside, allowing him to step in, and point his sword into Fades face.

"Do you have a lack of sword experience?"

*Fade stops, she pulls her sword arm and regards Phase from her vulnerable postion*

As you know, my specialty is in daggers. I have not used swords since my initial training. So, I intend to train with them now, I find myself out of practice

Phase regards Fade carefully. "It is lucky that it is I who has approached you. How would you forsee an escape from where you are now. Remember, one jab, I could blind you, scar you or even kill you" He points his sword at her eye, her cheek and her neck, stopping there as he makes each point.

*Fade raises an eyebrow at Phase as his sword stops at her neck after making each point. She echoes the question he'd asked her before*

*Fade slightly tilts her head forwards towards Phase as he steps back and removes the sword, a nod, but she never takes her eyes off him*

I see

*Bringing her sword back into a combat position, different to Phases this time. Her sword arm slightly extended outwards, whilst the other unarmed limb remained ready for any type of opening*

Phase, testing her reactionary skills, quickly jostles in towards Fade, just slightly moving his sword about, seeing where her eyes move to. Straight after moving forwards, he reutrns to his previous position, ready to counter any retaliatory strikes...

*As Phase moves towards her, Fade observes, watching his movements. At one point she almost thought he was actually going to attack her. Her sword moved in front of her and in the would-be path of Phases sword to block it*

*But then he stopped and stepped back. Fade moved with him, stepping forwards. Her short sword brought across her body from left to right in a cutting motion, but nowhere near as wild as her swing earlier. She had to be more cautious with things she didn't have that much experience with*

Phase rotates his whole hand and wrist, with a slight bend in his elbow, as he brings his sword in a smooth arc above Fades. As it comes over her sword, he tilts the blade so that it faces down towards the ground.

Then he pushes against Fades sword, so that it clashed with hers, and stopped its swipe towards his chest. (To point out the speed of this, it happens literally in seconds, like most sowrd fights do...))

He then flicks his sword upwards towards Fade's elbow, cetainly not a killing blow, but, a disabling one. If you're opponent can't fight, they can't win. The blade rests along the line of her elbow at a diagonal line. All that can be heard from Phase is an "Hmph"

*Fade quickly pulls her arm and sword back, stepping back at the same time, so instead of cutting her elbow Phases sword would clash with hers*

*Once it had she slides her weapon along the line of Phases own, the blade would be guided towards his hand*

Phase tilts his hand back up, still clashing with Fade's sword, and steps in towards Fade. pushing her sword to one side at the same. He aims a swift ankle kick at Fades ankle, hoping to take her of balance...

*Fades sword is pushed to the side, leaving her body open and vulnerable to attack. But it also meant Phase was as well. Fade brings the foot he aimed a kick at up, so his kick wouldn't hit but instead go underneath her foot, and moves it to the side*

*Fade also beings her free arm round, an open palm strike aimed at Phases chest. (This will wind but not do too much damage, she's not after killing Phase after all)

Phase, takes a small step back to flow with the blow as his foot found safe footing beneath Fades foot after missing th intended target. Because of her palm strike, she left herself open, again.

Phase brings the hilt of his sword in a sideways movement for Fade's face, not overly aggressively, but enough to let Fade know he's still in control.

With his free hand, he grabs Fade's thumb on her free arm, and yanking it back up against her wrist, twists her hand...

((BTW if you've not seen that happen, it hurts like a biatch!, and the only way out of that is to twist your body with it, which, would put a sword hilt in your face Twisted Evil

*Fade having her thumb grabbed, then her hand twisted has to move with it. This of course gets a sword hilt in front of her face but it was slightly better than having the blade pointed at it*

*Seeing no way out that would not seriously injure her wrist, which she could not afford to do, Fade let's her sword drop and embed itself in the ground*
