Yes, the EC's secrets shall always be safe from prying eyes!
---last week---
Ghost Who Eats Paper: Here's my latest findings on the EC.
President: Hmmm, oh haha! That Fort, when will he learn?
GWEP: Yes, his tutus are always a size too small.
President: And they know what Net gets up to in the janitor's closet?
GWEP: They haven't got a clue, you'd think one of them would have smelt it by now.
President: Oh these reports are always class, are you sure they're real?
GWEP: Quite sure, now, about my payment?
President: Don't worry, you're monthly supply of cookies and A4 glossy sheets shall be delievered to the Second In Command's office tomorrow.
GWEP: Excellent, and my identity shall remain a secret once again! _________________ I like big cookies and I cannot lie,

I REQUIRE GERBIL AND I KNOW THE ANSWER.
Manos: The Hands of Fate, probably THE worst movie ever created. Torgo is this weird guy (who should have had goats-legs but wore the prosthesises wrong) who "serves the Master while he's away". And Torgo has this weird five second long theme tune on a loop. I so need to actually watch this movie, but I've studied it from several reputable sources, and even more not-reputable sources. >_> |

Added me.
The map says I live in Reading, England. I don't really. I live in a much smaller and less interesting town called Camberley about halfway between Reading and a place called Guildford which is basically Reading II but with a hill instead of a music festival.
I did once figure out how to correct markers on Frappur so it was exactly over my house (as in really exactly, on the lowest resolution you could use it to find my exact house. Which is probably pretty stupid now I think about it. What with internet stalkers and such) but then I forgot how to do it. _________________ Oh what a tangled web we weave when first we practice to decieve ~ Sir Walter Scott

Sorry to post in a probably-dead topic, but something screwy seems to be happening/not happening. A) I don't have my RP Master belt, and B) I haven't been given access to the Corrupted Cave, despite the fact I'm now an EC member.
Anyone know why this is? |

A) What RP Master's belt? I wasn't aware you had one.
B) I'm not responsible for your access to the Corrupted Cave. Contact Addman or Fort, I let them manage it. Same goes for your EC rank. _________________

Apparently Shaon gave him entrance to the Master's Guild . _________________ ~Goron~

Hrm. I seem to be getting quite a negative welcome here. If I wasn't intended to be accepted into the Master's Guild, kick me out now. I'd prefer that then being allowed in and having the rest of the fora express discontentment at this action.
I mean, I haven't even had a chance to prove myself worthy of entry yet. |

Goron's comment wasn't very tactful, at least in my opinion. Everyone is entitled to express themselves, but we should celebrate someone's achievements, not get angry about them!
That being said, perhaps if the qualifications for earning said RP Master title were clearly outlined, there would be less chance for dissent, since everyone could clearly see if someone had indeed earned the right for that title? I confess my ignorance over how this award is given, and by who.
Would any of the Mods and Admins care to enlighten the rest of us, please? _________________

I was kidding guys, chill out. Good job Cirrial. I'll transfer my anger to Embri. You cannot silence my uncalled for comments!
As for your questions, Shaon seems to be in charge of that rank, she is the mod of the group. As for a description of outlinedness, they give a perfectly unclear definition somewhere on this site. Goes something like:
"Proven ability. Or years of experience. Or both."
Really helpful eh? _________________ ~Goron~

Nor would I wish to silence you, Goron. Free speech is a basic human right, and one I strongly believe in.
"Years of experience" seems pretty self explanatory. Only the first part is unclear.
I retain my request for a Mod or Admin to expand and clarify the requirements for the RP Master rank. (I suppose Shaon would be the logical choice, if this falls under their purview.) _________________

I would volunteer myself for this endeavor. After all, who better is there to maneuver around the subtleties of the spoken word.
Members of a profound experience (id est two Earth years or more), having the social seniority of 'having always been there' meet the qualifications of this group's membership. As well, the any parties demonstrating considerable linguistic ability, including (but not limited to) consistent correct spelling, proper punctuation and grammatical know-how, artful and cohesive ability in sentence-structuring, ...etc, etc, etc. _________________ If I were I as wise, as many have said

Here is my opinion on exactly what they need to demonstrate to get in on pure ability.
Membership in the Master's Guild is alot of what Hislordship said, but their is also the demonstration of a profound knowledge of the art of the RP, and a deep sense of artistry in their style. Basically, they have to be more than good at RP'ing, they have to be damned good.
Because of this, I've chosen to open up membership to those who win both team based and individual competitions at the RP olympics. Basically, if you win that, you've proven yourself to be damned good. _________________

I've always questioneed this and had a fanciful idea of this... but the way I see it, winning an RP does not make you a good Role Player by fault. RP Olympics or not, Role Playing defeat can only come with the RPer's consent. Therefore victory could be bestowed upon a massive powerplayer, not making them RP masters in the slightest.
I've always judged one's RPing on their actual Role Plays. One who loses the fight may still be a far greater Role Player than the winner. Somewhere in the depths of the Dojo I was once commended for letting my character take damage. Kind of makes you think... _________________ ~Goron~
