Settlement in the wilds! Who wants to go?

Lep didn't hear speader, since she was going so fast. She rushes past the lava, without a scratch. The force of the wind makes the lava move east, away from the Setelment . . . and slowly starting to head twards Lep, but it wont catch up for long . . .

Collator stares at the ineptitude of the group, they were surely going to need all the help they could get. He places Felix on the ground, who scarpers out of the way.

Collator crouches, as two panels open up, forming what appear to be some sort of boosters. He then takes a giant leap, sending him propelling up into the air. He scans the area, and during part of the hangtime in the air, he sees where a new route could draw the lava towards the water.

Quickly taking aim, he begins to rapidly fire short burst energy blast into the magma, and begins to create a kind of trench leading towards a nearby lake.

He's unfinished as he lands only a metre from where he leapt. As he lands in a crouch, he leaves a small crater in the ground. He takes a moment, before standing up straight. He looks around at the rest of the group.

"I've managed to begin a diversion trench towards a nearby lake. If anyone can help me to finish it......."

Areia Gloris!

*A seemingly insubstantial dome rises from the ground around the settlement. Nothing could get in or out, not even molten lava. Which may not be a good thing, as Net and Net2 soon discover.*

Net: Well, that's that done. Everyone ok?
Net2: I count fifty, including grunts, egos and battlemonkeys. We're missing five.
Net: Who?
Net2: ...How the hell am I supposed to know fifty people, including people I've never met or seen before, by face?!
Net: Think! Is anyone important missing?
Net2: ...Crap. Where's Lep?!?!

*Net turns to look east.*

Net2: Son of a-
Net: Quiet! I need to think. In the mean time, help people divert the remaining lava out of the settlement. A dome like this isn't going to protect us from the magma inside the settlement, is it?
Net2: I guess not. Right, anyone who wants to help Lep, stay with Net. Anyone who wants to ditch their clean-up job and go find Lep, follow me!

Lep's sugar rush is over and calms down, but she notices that the setlement is closed off and she is left to be bunrted by the lava. The only way for her to survive without anyone's help is to go into hibernation. But she will need to eat enough food and all of the running caused her to be more hungryer then she started (She is has 200 fullness). Lep starts to bang on the force feild with her fists, yelling "Help!"

Leaping from stepping stone, to stepping stone, Speeder reaches Lep.

"Now all we have to do, is cross the stepping stones, and make a small hole in the barrier. The wall should hold. I don't think an energy field can last long after I attack it!"

((You obviously havn't encountered Areia Gloris before. It wasn't the first thing to pop up in Net2's mind for no reason, you know Wink

. The caster can open portions of the field up to let people in or out though, so you should be fine. All you've gotta do is get back across the stepping stones without dieing and pray to god that Lep isn't over-dosed with Insulin from that last sugar rush Smile

Lep is really tired from the sugar rush and once she gotten halfway across, she was too tried. She might have to be carried until they get their. She starts stand still, as the lava starts to rush slowly twards the stepping stones . . .

Several days ago now, a strange event happened completely unnoticed. and Now that we are sure that it was unnoticed we can post it. so it is documented -

A good ways away from everyone else, in a deep and dark part of the wild woods, a thin thread of light appeared. It grows and reveals that the thread is in the shape of a coil, it is a "coiled string dimension". It uncoils and three metallic rectangular solids emerge from it. They hover in the air for a moment and settle to the ground, cutting slightly into a hillside. two on the bottom, touching; and the third on top, centered on the other two. There were metallic click sounds like fastening latches.

"Connection complete, connecting hatches secured"

"Engage camouflage"

and now they are three large rocks, just like the other rocks in the area, complete with lichen and dirt stains, and weeds and vines growing around them. They are not near any pathways and no one has seen where they landed.

"Why are we here?"

"I don't know, commander, there seems to be a new world place that wasn't here before"

"What do we know about it?"

"Very little as of yet, commander."

"#2, I need #7, #8, & #9 to go out and do recon. #3, assign three soldier-workers to assist them."

"yes, commander, we will know more soon"

"Yes," several minds concurred, "We will know more soon"

#2 walked down the stairs, and along a hall way to the specialist drones quarters to find the assigned specialists.

#3 went over to the stairs that went down into the other building, and went to the mess hall, where the soldier workers should be, judging by the numbers on the chronometer.

"Attention! Numbers 17, 18, and 19, report for duty"

"Yes, sir", all three thought together,

They went.

and now, we are watching....... we are learning.....

Lep finnaly gotten inside and calmed down. Then she started to look funny "I scence anouther Rabcat hiding in these parts" She starts to search madly around teh colony in search of the mysterious Rabcat

Nasari walked into the woods. She kept walking until she noticed that the forest was getting darker. Soon, she strayed off the path.

~One Hour Later~

"That's it. I'm hopelessly lost."

She was now deep in the forest. It was so dark, it looked like perpetual midnight. She came across three rocks.

"Well, I haven't sharpened my claws in a while, and they're looking pretty dull."

She poised her two mantislike claws to strike at the rocks.

From somewhere behind Nasari, a deep but friendly voice calls out,

"Well, hello there, who might you be, I had not encountered anyone else so deep in these woods before, and I had rather enjoyed the solitude. Although friendly conversation might be enjoyable as well."

The voice comes from a tall and muscularly built bipedal reptilian? saurian? (monitor lizard??, with heftier jaws??) kind of being. He appears to be wearing a hooded robe, but it might also be that he is in the process of shedding his skin, but in either case, both reptosaur and robe seem to take on the appearance of whatever he stands in front of, no wonder Nasari had not seen him before. He also has virtually no scent, and would leave no mental trace of thought, should any telepath be trying to find him, It is almost like he is not really there, except, he is talking aloud, and that he is smiling kindly and has a bit of sparkle in his eyes.
"I'm really tired,"
he says, and strolls over to the rocks, waves his thick tail out of the way, and sits down on them. From out of his robes he pulls a small canteen and takes a few sips.

"Its just water, do you want some?"
