Howdy Dojoians!
DP and I have been talking, and eventually decied it would just be best if you had to whole thing now rather than try to piece together all the darkened bits.
So without any further Ado, I present the (in full!) Blackstar World Map!
I'm sure you guys will immediately see new areas you didn't know existed. If you guys could explore them, maybe something cool would happen. Just sayin'
Also, and don't forget we have Embri to thank for the artwork in the first place! May our thanks find her wherever she may be.

And Now for some fun facts!
If you count 20 pixels as the 100 km indicated in the map, The Planet Blackstar has an equator of 15880 km.
That is about 9867 miles for you Imperial Types!
Therefore, Blackstar as a whole is only about 40% the size of Earth, and is even dwarfed by the Moon. Neat huh?
I guess it really is a small world after all! _________________ Ohh Shiny.... You know you want to click it...

Just a note, me and Embri talked at length about almost every aspect of this map, including scale and size. The way I figure it, this world is smaller, but made of denser material, so that the gravity is still about equal to that of earth. acceleration due to gravity is still 9.8 meters per second per second (m/s^2). For the Imperials, that's 32 ft/s^2. But when doing physics I prefer metric. Not sure why... _________________

It's nice to see the entire thing made public at last. It's amazing artwork and it always seemed a shame that so much was blacked out. I don't know about anyone else but knowing what's out there to be explored makes me more eager to get there as well. Like that island off to the east.
I'm not sure if it's already linked to somewhere but Embri also created an amazing view of Blackstar from space:

That's a small version, the original is much bigger. _________________ Oh what a tangled web we weave when first we practice to decieve ~ Sir Walter Scott

Wow, so awesome! A huge thanks to everybody involved, both in creating the map as well as unveiling the rest of it to us, the efforts that you've all gone to are really appreciated.
It's a bit odd to feel so excited about a map, but still... ! _________________ If I'm not here, I'm probably over at...

Especially a map of a fictional place we only get to see described in text form. _________________ Oh what a tangled web we weave when first we practice to decieve ~ Sir Walter Scott

It makes me really happy that even though Embri isn't around anymore, we're still seeing new bits of her hard work. I miss her.
Onto the map, it's awesome! I'm quite curious how far one could go in those icy tundras to the north.
Perhaps someday an expedition will be formed. |
