Lilic looked at her pushing a barrier, though unknown to Athena it had greatly drained Lilic for such a barrier. She looked at Athena. "Why are you attacking me... I'm NOT that thing!" She stated, clearly upset.

"I can't be sure you're not infected by that goo thing. It was inside you!" She said. "You could be growing more of that stuff right now!" Then she followed up with a few heavy smashes of the quarterstaff.

Lilic yelped moving to the side as a flare ball was in her hands. "I am not carrying more of those things. I am not that weak. It took me by surprise, obviously."

"How do you know? You don't!" Athena said, kicking sand towards Lilic. Hopefully, it'd get in her eyes, and she could follow up with yet another attack with her quarterstaff.

She turned the sand going in her eyes as she let her ears go up suddenly listening to the sounds but the sand was soft and she had little talent with fighting in it from being blind. "That is a cheap move...I am not one of those crazy monsters, I can talk...It couldn't.

"I never said you were a monster. Just that you were infected." She raised the quarterstaff. Then sighed, and dropped it. "Nevermind." She said. "If you're infected, so am I."

She tossed Lilic a waterskin. "Here."

Lilic sighed as she nodded rubbing her eyes. "I guess so" she said as she watched him slightly. "Let's stay out for a few days and in the mean time I can teach you the basics of my Flare ball and the basic fire spells."

"That'd be nice!" Athena said. "I've been having issues finding people who would teach me magic!" She said, smiling.
