Sorry for that, I've been watching Band of Brothers...
Anyway! I'm Gingusdan, but you can all call me Ging, or Dan. I was linked to the Dojo by the one called Sfot... I was also informed of a can-opener. I worry slightly.
Anyway, I'm an avid RP'r. I usually work within the realm of Warhammer 40,000, but I do Fantasy RP's, as well as an RP in a Universe I co-created.

Welcome to the Blackstar Role Playing Dojo!
If you are new to the world of Role Playing, you may wish to start at the Training Dojo, where any of our staff will be more than happy to help you learn the game.
The most important part of role playing is the development of a character. This is required before you participate in most role plays. You can look at examples of characters in our Hall of Records. Once you have a character, you can post your profile in there.
Once you have a character and some training, you may wish to join a role play. The most active of Role Playing boards is The Wilds. There are many other role playing boards for RPs of a specific location or type. Explore as much as you can.
A new feature to the Dojo is the addition of items. Most items have a way to be synthed, or combined, with other items to form usable items. Usable items will be listed in a pull down menu when you create a post, enabling you to specify which item you are using, who is using it, and what their target is. Usable items have a hit % and a break %. If you're lucky, your item use will suceed, if not, it will miss. Either way, there is a chance that your item will break and become unusable. See our wiki article on Items for more information.
Several of the boards are non-RPing boards. Boards like Announcements, General Chat, and Bugs and Features are examples of non-RPing boards. Be sure to explore these too.
We only have a few rules:
1. Respect other people, and treat them as you wish to be treated.
2. Do not argue with the Admins and Mods. They have plenty of work already. If you really have a beef with something, discussing it in a logical and calm manner will get you miles farther than whining.
3. No Powerplaying. This means forcing actions on other people. For more information on Powerplaying and how to avoid it, please refer to "Powerplaying" on our wiki.
If you have any questions during your stay here, you may ask one of the administrators or moderators. You can recognize us by our belts: Gold Dragons on the belt of an Admin, Silver on the belt of a mod.
Should you be unable to contact an Admin or you want your answer quickly, you can always refer to the Blackstar Wiki.
Please also be advised that Blackstar is considered highly addictive and may result in symptoms of insomnia, crankiness, longing for insanity, and general RP itch if you discontinue use. |
You have no sanity to deposit, so you should be fine. ^^

Watch out for the newly-rebuilt Evil Closet of Doom, that's where I keep my kinky-whips and harem. Not a good idea to wander in there. After all, I'm sure you'll be dragged in by yours truly eventually.

Someone entering without Sanity? Is that even allowed?! We do turn quite a profit on selling that stuff Sfot.
Anyway, Welcome Gus! I know it wasn't one of the choices, but it really seems quite Gus-like doesn't it?
I am Coolpikaaa, commonly going by CP, Admin over here at Blackstar. Sfot gave you the greeting, so I don't have much to make my post seem long and extraordinary, but we really are glad a new member showed up.
Anyway! Welcome to the Dojo! And don't forget to check out our shop system! Synthing items is quite addicting.... but using your produce is even better.

No, I couldn't. See they get tenderized the the portable ECOD, that way I don't have to spend extra time when I get back to the cave before I start doing my thing.
Plus, the ECOD only requires a little shove, overpowering someone and tying them up requires extra energy. =/ |

It reminds me of the Astronomican. Except it's not Warhammer driven, nor is it Hobby driven.
