DLM Banned?

Yup, It's another Lupin topic!

But seriously guys, when was he banned and why? I just got a rather disturbed IM from him and didn't see anything as to why this happened so I thought I would check up.

Actually, I do mind, given as I don't usually anticipate people giving out the logs of what I assumed to be private conversations. That aside, I wasn't serious about framing DLM or any such thing. I did think, however, that I've been entirely too lax by standing by and doing nothing as he spams the forum, disrepects other users and tries to persuade me to ban anyone that falls out of his favour.

I consider it an act of lenience that I've only given him a week long ban. He shouldn't technically have been allowed back - the precedent of his permaban being reversed just makes a mockery out of the concept of a permanent ban.

But if anyone wants to stand up and say that I have acted in error, then I will reconsider the ban. Also, DLM should know why I've banned him - I wrote an email to him directly. If he provided a false or throwaway email, I cannot be held accountable for that.

going to point out that, on the day DLM was banned, my email account was "mysteriously" used to sign up for "GAYtoZ Friends Newsletter," "KinderArtColor mailing list," and "MyFreePaysite.com." Whilst there is a chance that this is some bizarre coincidence, I also wouldn't put it below him to, in some kind of rage, take my email and sign up wherever possible with it.

Emails never stopped. I started getting phone calls and spam mail around the end of november. I got a diaper in the mail. It was kind of amazing.

One of the emails is this:

That IP address sure isn't mine! I looked it up, curious as to where my spam problem has been coming from.

Oh, wow, that ISP sure looks familiar!

Now, correct me if I'm wrong, but that is definitely the ISP DLM uses.

Which means that DLM's been signing me up for at the very least the emails. Which definitely counts as some form of serious harassment to mod on the forums, if it's not outright illegal.

If he comes back, it wasn't him.

If he doesn't, he won't be bothering anyone else on this forum, hopefully.

If it turns out it is him I'm not permabanning him. I'm deleting him. He's had far too much leniency from me as it is.

And woe on him if he thinks he'll ever be getting in my good books again if this is the case.

Just a heads up, my work is moving, so although I'm out of classes, I won't have much free time until after Christmas. Expect changes. I know people get pissy when I change stuff without input from them, but these changes are long overdue and I think the lack of doing them is killing the site, so really, I"m going to do what I think is best, damned be the naysayers.
