Ideas to jumpstart BS + CC in general

Im pretty sure its a sperate protocole. If you wish to know why I hate it, Well... I am affraid I cannot specify the reasons on here. You will have to PM or Email me (Prefferably email) if you wish to know.

In any case violet, Can ya help me out trying to find the data of this website? I am especially trying to find an old traffic log, but then again any log of data about this place would be appricated. I belive we may be able to find a pattern, Of which afterwards we can start a viral marketing campain or something.

JRChat is, indeed, a separate protocol. Numerous attempts have been made to create another JRC server or even make a JRC channel on IRC and all of them have failed.

I would like to tell you that I have studied general website hacking over the last year (Dont ask) and I can tell you that there ARE ways to look at the websites traffic without getting a direct traffic log.

DLM, you've just openly stated an intent to illegally crack Blackstar as if it's a perfectly fine thing to do. I'm just curious. Do you act like this because you want to see how many lines you can cross before someone says "stop"? This is me saying stop.

You've been on thin ice since you first came back. Keep acting as if the world is yours to break and bend and I'm sure you'll get yourself a more lasting ban. DP may have let you off one time, but I doubt he'd let you off a second time.

Hacking/Cracking this place would not only be stupid, rude AND disrespectfull, but I would probobly be sent to court as DP has my IP adress. Now, More status info about this site...

In any case, I totally agree with violet that we should sometime get together in a group and advertise on gaiaonline. I am currently looking for information that would help suit our needs, because in order for this to be effective, we would need decent-looking avatars.

Also, while I'm thinking about it, we're in a terrible condition for new members. The information we have to allow people to get acquainted with the board is massively out of date. We don't even have the Psychotopia City board for RP masters any more, for one. I believe that was repurposed into Dojopolis. There's explanations of who the Flock are but not who the newer groups are, details for a Job Board that doesn't seem to exist, and general inconsistencies all around.

It confuses me trying to figure it out, and I've been here (sporadically) since aught-six, so what would the poor newcomers make of it all?

Someone should probably update the information. I don't have the time to sit down and write out a massive rewrite of every topic in Blackstar Dojo Information, but I might do after I've finished some of my more pressing assignments. If anyone wants to volunteer to write better information, I can soon post it in the Information board.

That is, if we're not intending to ditch the Blackstar Dojo Information board and migrate all relevant info to the wiki, which I believe may have been the initial plan.

Actually, I do have an idea to promote the CC, and that is to get the creatures series on www.gog.com .

Good old games is a new site that allows you to purchase and download old and new classics for cheap. If we can get Gameware to put their stuff up there, then not only could we get new members REALLY easily and quickly, but we would add money to gamewares coffers.

That seems like a pretty good idea DLM (and a pretty nifty website too), I'm trying to speak with Gameware about the shop, mall breeds, forums and such at the moment, so if I do get through to somebody I'll see if I can pass that idea along.

At the moment I've reached somebody who has told me that they'd pass my e-mail along to a colleague who should be able to help answer my questions (the webmaster didn't respond to my e-mail at all, so I tried the only other e-mail address listed on the site, for somebody from Gameware Media), and that was on Friday, so hopefully I'll hear back from them sometime this week.

Nifty website? Thanks to this place, I was able to get the Expansion for Descent 3, as well as a digital copy of the game itself. Wow this game brings me back...

The question for gameware if they do decide to host some things off of here is how they choose to package the offical C3 addons. Most likely, they would include all the "Free" ones and put links somewhere to buy the mall breeds.

But I personally would be more intrestead in getting a legal copy of creatures 1 and 2 from there
