GBE is back, and has a problem :(

Howdy doody, this is one of my many returns (hopefully here to stay). I will try to get on at least once a week.

Anyways, I also have a problem. For many many years, myself and a few others have hosted many stories and character profiles (some related, some unrelated) to the Blackstar world. Msn is due to close its groups (which is what we poor souls have been using).

Anyways, in an attempt to keep some stuff - I either need to move it all here - goodness knows how long this would take. Or, I need a new site. I know DP has a big storage issue with too much stuff possibly breaking Blackstar (many pictures too Wink

).

So, any advice, do I bring it all here, or find a new site, and if so, where :s

Nowhere near that size DLM, it's mostly text with a quite a few pics thrown in.

I would say yes, but with that being said I do not know the amount of bandwith the site has. I would like to think it has a fair bit, but...

I would first reccomend transporting theese things into small character documents, that would give you more time. Then use some kind of compressor program on them, aka .zip/.rar/7zip and then if worst comes to worse, upload them on an upload site like megaupload.

MSN is closing Groups? Are you sure they're not just going for the Windows Live Groups option Razz

Haha I was right. Just typed in Windows Live Groups and got this little information from Wikipedia - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Windows_Live_Groups

I wonder if the MSN website is going to change to the Windows Live website or Windows Live News or something.

Ok - so character profiles are copied and pasted into word documents - ye gods I shudder at my early concoction of characters... Oh well - they can be improved for other purposes...

The major storyline from there, I think Swix has - there really wasn't a lot left after that. I think Creature-X will go away - with all the pics, and be remembered only by Swix and I... *Thinks about the good ol' days*

Anyways, yeah, long story short, I think problem solved - if there's anything left - go get em Swix! Razz
