In retrospect, I feel perhaps my initial post was a little too harsh. I believe I may have misinterpreted your posts, DLM, and I'll be willing to cut you a little more slack rather than jump to unfavourable conclusions.

I will say that at least attempting an apology, content aside, was a large step in the right direction. I didn't disregard it completely, I just felt it could have been less of a demand as well. And if someone completely disregards your apology without giving it a chance, well, it's up to them. That's why we have a team of moderators and not a single moderator.

As for whining about why everyone seems to hate you, well, you do have the infamy of not one but two permanent bans to your name. A fair amount of us here have decided to give you at least another chance. I know of many, many other communities that wouldn't have even given you the dignity of a response. But the fact we're giving you another chance doesn't exactly mean that we're going to let you stroll all over the forum as someone who can do no wrong while we sing of your glory. If you prove yourself to be someone incapable of respecting the community and its members a third time, I strongly doubt you'll ever be taken seriously again.

And if you're whining in the hopes you'll drum up some sympathy, you're going about this re-integration into the forums completely wrong. Speaking as someone who came back with a massive apology over something far more minor (and which no-one probably even remembers), and as 3kul said, you don't apologise with the expectation that everyone will instantly forgive you.

I know this somewhat aggressive tone seems contradictory with my stated aim of cutting you a little more slack, but to be honest I just don't think you quite understand how your current approach isn't going to help you get back into the community's good books.

Thank you for the cleaned up tone. I was begining to wonder if this place lost something that it was founded on, something that only recently I have come to understand. Respect. Not just respect for thoose bigger and badder then you, Oh no. Respect for the weak, too.

This post was actually going to go on about wondering if you guys had, or knew what a heart was. I was going to link you to the wikipedia article on the human heart, then sharply wonder how you guys can sustain human life without one. But I regress, You DO have a heart. Atleast, Most of you, anyways.

I was never expecting the apology to succeed anyways. As a matter of fact, I delibritly went over the top with it knowing that a few would rather yell profanitys then let me back in, telling me who to aviod. I guess I know who to avoid now... No, Not you Cirrial, Not anymore...

That and respect is a two-way street: to gain it you must give it, and that can take a long time in some cases. Right now you aren't really showing much for some of the other members, so people may not respect you for it.

In any case, I am glad to only now find that bluntness is just pretty natural, and that you do not just hate me. For whatever reason, I felt that you all mostly ganged up on me because I was new or something. Granted, There is still a tinfoil hat dude in my head that is still trying to tell me that it is still the case, but fortunetly I can dismiss him now. Thank you.

Dude. The heart comment is stupidly rude to people who are giving you another chance - even saying you were thinking it. Especially detailing exactly what the reply would be, which could basically be summed up as nasty, petty and childish.

Seriously, if you're trying to reintegrate you're going about it the wrong way. I didn't even *know* you before now and already you're bugging me.
