We as well as the CC are in dire need for something to replace our dead JRC client.

A long time ago, I discoverd something called Palace. It is a 2D visual avatar chatroom. I do belive that this would suit all our purposes, Be it RPing, Chatting, or whatnot.

Coolpikaa has also discoverd a similar one called the manor. I do not see what it really has over the regular palace, but I thought I should mention it.

From my research with 5 scientists who are literally monkeys, We have deduced that palace was popular in the 90s to 2000, and got really popular for a while during '99 when Korn made a palace. Huh.

The palace community is dead, but who cares. Less trolls who will randomly join.

A few more things about palace. I belive its open source and is very linux-compatable. There are many alterniteves to palace, but I personally like the palace due to its simplicity.

Anyone intrestead?

And what about the people lacking hardware to support visual chats? I've just come from that position myself and I'm not so sure I'm not *still* there (haven't tested IMVU again yet), so I feel the need to point out that possibility.

Does it seem fair on you to exclude based on hardware?

This chat thing is (To modern day standers, and even possibly late 90's standerds) extrealy lax on the hardware requirements. You dont need the NVIDIA UP-THE-Donkey VERSION 9000 grapic card to run this.

Palace was made in the 90s, yet is still a good chat client. Keep that in mind if you think about system requirments. Even yo mommas computer can run this!

DLM is right on this one.

Palace (and Manor) run extremely low on the spectrum. They are actually both quite fun, making your avatar and such.

As I said, They have no community to speak of. The most active palace is called Avatar palace,for it at any time has a usercount on it higher then 30. Of course,most of thoose users at any time usually host theese stupid avatar pagent things or have groups of peole trying to be "Homies" or whatever... Bah.

It's not really my agreement that matters. I may randomly wander off and make a Gameware chatroom, but I will not do so for Blackstar without DP's leave. If, however, someone else were to make a Blackstar chat on Palace, yes I would join in.
