For some reason I was compelled to come here again. Don't ask me why because I am not currently in the mood to read massively long pieces of text (even Cirrial's post was too much for me )
I seem to have no time at all for Blackstar (and possibly a wavering interest), even though I had this week off work  Ah well, a fresh new year soon so maybe my interest will bloom into a nonsensical plant of some description.

I didn't get a mass e-mail, but I did get a personalized request from Vromoth (it had my name and everything), so I decided it was time for me to try and re-immerse myself into Blackstar.

It has been a long time since I last posted, mainly due to my inability to access a computer. My computer is currently not functional, my brother's borrowing my old one and currently studying/sitting his yr 12 exams (so he uses it a lot, and I'd feel bad taking him back off him in these last crucial weeks), and my youngest brother is an 8 year old Runescape addict who never lets anybody on the computer whenever he's around (which is a lot).
When I do hop on the computer, I'm now job hunting. It's not so much that I'm having a hard time finding something, rather that I'm having a hard time finding something that I'm interested in (this line of thought is usually rebutted with 'it's work, it's not meant to be interesting' Rolling Eyes ).
Recently I've been working for some relatives, a bit of office related stuff and helping them furnish some apartments (they're in commercial furnishing). It was good work, good experience and good money (and it certainly kept me busy), but not very good for long term, as it seems as though they no longer need my help. Sucks, but it was never going to be anything more than temporary in the first place.
I've also signed up for the JLPT (Japanese Language Proficiency Test), an international test held to evaluate one's Japanese skills. It's going to be on in just over a month so I've got to put in plenty of extra study leading up to it.
As well as all of this, my only 'computer' that I have 24/7 access to at the moment is my ipod, which I hate using to browse the internet. The browser has a nasty habit of crashing (a lot) and it loads things incredibly slowly for some reason, and typing on the ipod itself is just stupid.
So ultimately the points that I'm trying to get to are (1) sorry for being a stranger as of late and (2) unfortunately, I'll most likely continue to be a stranger for a while. As much as I used to (and still would) love to spend time RPing with you all, the internet is really not something that I have very much time for these days.
That said, if you need/want to speak to me about anything, I do still check my e-mails on a fairly regular basis, so that's always a good way to go. |
A number of things have changed since then, and consequently I now find myself with a bit more spare time for good ol' B-star (I finished the JLPT, my brother's done his exams and so he doesn't have a reason to keep my laptop from me any longer and I have a new job, from which I'm currently on 3 weeks holiday break).
Of course, as we're heading up to Xmas I won't be able to be online too much, I'm going away for about a week or so to the beach (but it's more like two short trips, since I have to come back home in the middle for christmas), but after that I can safely say that I'll be pretty active.
EDIT: Oh, no strikethrough here... Well, I'm now home and a change of plans means no extra holiday for me. I've started up a new RP and plan on being active enough to maintain it should it prove successful.
