Mass email.

Hello, one and all. It has been a long time, and for this I am deeply sorry. As I'm sure it has been with most of you as well, life, loss of interest, and/or forgetfulness have been preventing me from coming on Blackstar regularly. I have poked my head in occasionally, only to see that nothing of real significance had transpired since I was last here. Blackstar seems to be dying, and I fear if we don't do something to alter this course the site will go completely dormant.

This is why I propose to our wonderful administrator and Sensei, the Dark Psycho, that through his godly powers he send out a mass email to all registered members reminding them that Blackstar still exists and we would love to have them back.

Your thoughts?

I actually was just thinking about this. :S

Also, DP's new Adventure is new and open if you had been looking for something to do.

It is thanks to this email that I'm even posting here again, so I'll start by saying how much I appreciated it. I've been hovering in indecision as whether or not to come back to this forum, due to some unresolved internal conflicts but also more increasingly due to the large amount of work university demands of me. Else I'd have likely come back sooner. As it is, all I can really say is that this post might be all anyone sees of me for another couple of weeks until the end of term.

Basically, I originally left out of a cowardly, lazy abandoning of the item admin duties I spontaneously took back up from the LAST time I left. It feels like my history with Blackstar's been one long yo-yo session, that's for sure. So for anyone who requested items the last time I was actively taking them, I'm sorry, but it turns out I just can't do it all like I thought I could. I thought I had all the time in the world, but it turned out to be a complete delusion. (I still have a lot of time but not nearly enough as I'd like to make better sprites and teach myself how to make even better ones.)

That's what made me leave. What made me not come back was the pressure leading up to university. Each week made it feel more and more of an unwise move to come back, but now I've nearly finished the first term of my first year, I can see that I can spare at least some time to contributing to this forum again. And I've missed all the great ideas and all the great people this board collects. I've missed you guys. D:

Now that I've got my reasons for leaving out of the way, and probably not emphasised the reasons for coming back, here I am with my long ranty post on a sort-of related topic. If Blackstar's making a comeback then damn I want to be a part of it, basically. Just not as a spriter. I feel my strengths lie in different areas. That, and the lack of time like I said.

Can I really be forgiven for running away from a duty I originally wanted so badly, though? This is the thing that's started to play on my mind. Most of you probably didn't even notice, but this is the kind of person I am sometimes. If I don't resolve things they start to niggle at the back of my head and make me do silly things like not come back to Blackstar. :<

So once again a heartfelt apology to anyone who was expecting fancy new items, a heartfelt apology to DP for just up and abandoning duties which I still feel I can't perform to a reasonable degree of quality, and a heartfelt apology to the entire forums for dropping everything due to hang-ups over trivial issues.

Rather glad to be back, I didn't come here because I had gotten busy with school and forgotten, sad to say, but I am back and loving it! I missed each and every one of you, even the EC...Scary thought really but I missed the EC a lot. *Raises goblet of.....Something....A form of punch.* No idea what this stuff is but heck, it's a liquid that doesn't seem harmful. Thank you to Sensei DP for the mass e-mail, it is actually what made me come back so Sensei DP....Arigatou *Bows in thanks*

Yeah, rosebarks is probably just so used to Blackstar harmful that the punch doesn't look dangerous at all Razz
