One word:
Amazing.
This new handheld was just announced guys! It's a spin off from the DS lite, supporting online features, internet, an apps store, and a camera with a removable memory card for media playing.
The only drawback is that it is not backwards compatible
As i find out more, I will try to keep you all updated.

I've heard rumours of a new DS system, sounds pretty awesome. The only GBA games I still play nowadays are Final Fantasy Tactics and Pokemon, so no backwards compatibility really doesn't bother me.
Since I never shelled out for a DS lite, I feel like I could justify buying myself this when it comes out, so I'm looking forward to it _________________ If I'm not here, I'm probably over at...

The lack of backwards compatiblity put me off. I still have my old GBA SP (for that matter I still have my original GBA and my GBC) but it'd mean no trading Pokemon between Fire Red or Saphire and Pearl, and no catching Pokemon by dongle which would be very annoying for me.
I don't have any real interest in the camera. I have a camera in my phone I don't use so I can't really imagine why I'd want one in my DS as well. But the internet and the possibility for downloadable apps is interesting.
Maybe one day when I have the money I might splash out on one but for now I think I'm going to be sticking with my DS lite. _________________ Oh what a tangled web we weave when first we practice to decieve ~ Sir Walter Scott

The number one thing I'd want backwards compatiblility for is Mother 3.
And that is a very big thing. The DSi coming out would mean that Nintendo has officially disowned the GBA and it'd never come out which makes me sad.
I'll stay with my DS Lite and flash cart, thanks. _________________ Shaon Galatea -- Artist | Musician | Radio DJ | Voice Actor | Writer |

I knew this was coming. They always release three versions of their handhelds. But I have been sticking to my old and battered classic DS and I think I will still be, seeing as it's quite capable of handling things like Brain Training and anything else the DS Lite is supposed to make easier. Plus I still have loads of GBA games that are pointless to trade in now as I'd get next to nothing for them, and I won't be able to play Creatures GBA at all if I give up this one. I gave my actual GBA to my bfs sister as she said she wanted one.
In other words, it's interesting but like Danikat and Shaon, no backwards compatibility puts me off. _________________ Baker of the radioactive three-eyed flying purple cookie eating brownies!
