((This was going to be an ampitheatre story, but turned out sounding more like an RP, so here you go. Basically, due to following the wrong RPs, i haven't got the faintest clue what has happened. So, I'm going to remove my characters from events for, oh, let's say... a few thousand years. Feel free to join in their expedition.))
_____________________________________________________
The room was very tiny, appearing to be a dark, circular cellar of some form. Sacks sat around the edges, leaning against the stone wall. Some had some truly disturbing labels such as "Skull-shaped basket waste, Sanity, 2 pounds". At any rate, going near them may not be best.
Also along the walls, five torches equally spaced dimly lit the room. In the middle was one round table, as large as the room and sacks would allow.
A shadowy figure flicked their wrist, and suddenly the torches blazed. Now visible, eleven figures sat around the table. The odd thing about them being they all looked almost exactly the same.
Each had black-blonde hair, at the stage where it was probably more of a golden brown than blonde. Their eye colours varied from a pale grey to blue-grey to medium blue, and their skin was so pale as to almost be called literally white. Aside from some having different hair cuts and most having different clothes, they all could have been the same 15-year-old girl. In fact, that's exactly what they were.
"Much better," said the one that had made the torches flare up. "Now we can see. So what are we all gathered here for?"
"I could see before," mused another, with an oddly cat-like air about her. Her eyes seemed differently shaped, too, just a hair away from being considered human.
"Yes, well, unlike you Varia, the rest of us have human eyes. Well, except for Eldalie too, I guess." She glanced at another girl, who glared back but appeared to be gagged and bound.
"We're here to decide what we're going to do," said one firmly. "Try not being so impatient, Melanaur."
The one called Melanaur bared her teeth in what may have been a smile and leaned back. "It's in my nature to be impatient, though. You should know that, dear mother of mine. It's your pyromaniac tendancies that birthed me, and the nature of fire is to be imaptient. You want patience, talk to Mist." Melanaur gestured across the table to yet another girl whose hair seemed to shift by the force of some unseen breeze - though how a breeze would get down in this cellar was a mystery.
"That's not patience, that's apathy," said the one Melanaur referred to as her mother, though the two looked to be exactly the same age.
"There is no need to state the obvious Tel'Erusva," said one who had seemed to be entirely focused on her book, but was obviously attentive to the conversation as well. Melanaur flicked her hand again, and a fireball shot out from it to consume the book. The girl who had just spoken glared at her. "Do I need to unbind Agarwala and set her on you?" she tilted her head slightly to another bound - though not gagged - figure.
"That would be rather pointless now, wouldn't it Intyalle?" Melanaur said almost lazily. "Agarwala is on my side, because of all of you I'm the only one who ever provides her with the violence she craves."
Intyalle just glared. Of the others around the table, one looked rather bored and tapped her finger impatiently on the case of a Babylon 5 DVD, another seemed merely to be listening intently while a last appeared to be busy chewing herself and the final girl was tracing the grain of the table.
"Be quiet, all of you. Now, as I'm sure you've noticed, the entire world of Blackstar is in total disarray ever since Dau'Pay died... at least, I think that's what happened." Tel'Erusva frowned. "At any rate, we need to do something about it."
"What exactly are you suggesting?" asked Intyalle. "We can't bring their god back for them."
"You could always try resurrecting Dau'Pay, I guess," suggested one.
"No, Noldokuruni, I doubt I have the power for that. Not a god - I'd need to be a goddess myself, probably. At any rate I don't know where his body is anyway, or even if how he died allows him to be brought back."
"Indeed," interjected Tel'Erusva, attempting to regain control of the conversation. "And i'm not suggesting we do something to them, but to ourselves. Suspended animation, set to wake us up in three thousand years time. Or when the planet becomes stable again and someone comes to wake us up. We can, of course, bring others with us, to rebuild the world if need be in three thousand years."
Her suggestion was met with a shocked silence. Three thousand years? Who was stupid enough to chance being kept frozen for three thousand years? For that matter, where would they go to freeze themselves for three thousand years?
Three days later...
Come one, come all!
The state this world is in has become entirely unacceptable, and Tel'Erusva (all of her) has decided to do something about it.
Want to see the world three thousand years from now? Then join us on our great adventure!
To join us, talk to one of the Mad Eleven.
"That looks pretty corny," Melanaur said, sizing it up with a critical eye.
"If it gets some people to help us, I don't really care," Tel'Erusva told her.
Intyalle sighed. "Let's go. We need to pack, and we may have a long wait before anyone joins us." _________________ Characters:

A couple of teenagers, a flame haired, green eyed young girl and a brown haired, brown eyed boy soon saw the flyer that Tel'Erusva had posted and promptly had a good giggle at it. Or at least, the teenage girl in her black leather jacket, leather jeans and dark blue t-shirt did. The taller boy clad in dark blue denim jeans and jacket, along with a black top frowned at it thoughtfully. The boy was also much taller than the girl, standing at 5 ft whilst she remained a meager 4'3, often looking like she was standing next to a giant when they were together.
The boy's name was Kalat, once a street urchin, and the girls was Nola. But you wouldn't believe it was the former that had led the harder life, for Nola was definitely the leader of the two.
"'Mad Eleven'" Nola repeated the wording, before giggling again "sounds like a fun group"
"I don't know about this Nola" Kalat replied, chewing his lip "I don't like the sound of this three thousand years stuff"
Nola rolled her green eyes before fixing them on Kalat "Oh come on, don't be such a spoilsport. Besides... we've gotten out of worse spots than this"
"Yeah..." Kalat said slowly, giving the impression he was thinking hard "but we didn't get ourselves into them to start with"
Nola was a little taken aback, Kalat had never questioned her like this before. Or shown how good his memory was, but then he had been on the streets by himself before they'd found each other so he had to have some smarts. "Well..." she said, just as slowly "let's just go meet this 'Mad Eleven' then, before we do anything else" The fiery haired young girl turned and began trotting off into the streets, not waiting for Kalat who soon realised he would be talking to himself before he hurried after her.
'The Mad Eleven meet the Terrible Two' Kalat thought wryly to himself as he followed Nola. _________________ Baker of the radioactive three-eyed flying purple cookie eating brownies!

Hearing a rather loud and odd announcement, a fairly tall being casually stepped forth towards the beaming flyer that seemed to be the center of attention. Running his inhuman paws through his mane, he nervously toyed with the collar of his cream-colored dress shirt, and finally set both paws in his jet black demin jeans.
Clearly standing above most people with his above average hieght, slightly over 6', he got a good read of this flyer, and pondered in his place.
"Three Thousand Years?" he wondered, "Huh...sounds interesting. I've got nowhere to go, and no-one to go to, so..."
After some slight inner dispute he finally thought out loud "Why not?" and began to head off...until he caught himself in his tracks, wondering where he sohould even go, and where in this city would be a group called 'Mad Elven'. Now abruptly caught in bit of a pickle, he frantically looked around for anyone who at least seemed to know where they were going, and what they were doing, because this lion sure didn't.
"C'mon, Leo, THINK!"
Out of the corner of his keen cat eyes, he noticed two young teenagers, one of which had the brightest red hair he'd ever seen, whom were glancing at the poster and were headed off in a direction that was hopefully towards where these 'Mad Elven' were. In desperation, Leo pulled himself together.
"For crying out loud, you are one big helpless kitty. And you wonder why you were named Rui-"
He suddenly stopped, choking down heartache and pain, and after a few seconds he regained himelf and began to swiftly, yet carefully stalk after the two young figures...muttering under his breath: "Ruisine" |

((Yay peoples! Thanks Leo, Swix.))

Kathcantavaria had been detailled as watch-person for the time being. She lay not too far away, lounging in the sun in her panther form. The black fur soaked up the heat quite nicely, an Varia developed a taste for this night-black feline form anyway.
It's a darned good thing I've been watching even though it's not my turn, came the sharp and sour tones of Melanaur in her mind. Because you're not keeping a very close eye on the flyer. It's an equally good thing I already called the others, as they're on their way right now. I'd suggest changing your form you lazy overgrown moggy, because they're only a couple of blocks away.
Slightly indignant at the name-calling, Varia nevertheless still followed Melanaur's sound if insolent advice and shifted to her normal form. After a short wait, several others appeared. Kathcantavaria ticked off each one as she appeared. Tel'Erusva was here, of course, and Melanaur could be spotted climbing down from a nearby building. Also most predictably, Intyalle was present. Of the less involved aspects, Noldokuruni and of course Varia herself were here. Hopefully none of the people would get confused by the fact that only five of their full number were present.
"Wait a sec, are we definitely different enough today to be told apart?" Intyalle asked quickly.
A glance around the others showed that yes, they could be told apart by those with sharp enough eyes and attention to spot the differences. Kathcantavaria, like Eldalie, could never be mistaken for any of the others because both of them only had a little humanity courtesy of Tel'Erusva - for the most part, Varia was a cat. Melanaur's hair was cropped short, to a bit higher than her earlobes. Tel'Erusva and Intyalle both sported chest-length hair and glasses, but where Tel'Erusva's was dwn, Intyalle's hair was tied in a simple ponytail. Noldokuruni wore silver clasp engraved with spirals in her shoulder-length hair. None of them could manage much better than that anyway, so they'd all just have to hope that anyone who approached them was observant. _________________ Characters:

The pair of teenagers did indeed know where they were going, for several people around them had seen a few of those who'd put up the flyer three days ago and parted with their information without complaint or even knowledge that they'd given it away. They were both mutants of very particular telepathic talents, and unlike most did not have a problem with taking what they wanted.
"This way" Nola said unnecessarily, pushing her way through the crowd of mixed races towards the five people who someone had just seen waiting. Kalat was close behind her, with his shotgun now unslung and in a ready position. He wasn't sure why, but it was an instinct that had served him well, so he listened to it.
Nola beamed with a bright, but not entirely sincere smile once she broke through into the area where five were waiting for them.
"What happened to the other six?" she asked immediately "Lose them somewhere?" _________________ Baker of the radioactive three-eyed flying purple cookie eating brownies!

All five spun around at the intrusion. At the sight of the shotgun, they all instantly jumped into action with the synchronisation that comes of being, at the root of it all, the same person.
Intyalle slid to the back of the group, ready to resurrect if need be. Tel'Erusva and Kathcantavaria slid to the front, the former in a fighting stance and the latter back in cat form, a panther with hugely extended claws and teeth. Noldokuruni stood in the middle with hands ready to trace some "beneficial" spell on the enemy (and therefore not very beneficial) while Melanaur stood beside her with a fireball ready in her hand.
"They are absent for various reasons," Tel'Erusva said in a guarded tone. "Now, a question for a question. Why have you approached us in such a hostile manner? We never did anything to you, though will will if you attack us, and we'll call the others too. Trust me, you'd rather not meet Agarwala if you're trying to harm us." _________________ Characters:

Withdrawn, and almost in awe, crept Leo, blending in as best as he could with the crowd as he observed the two teenagers. He noted the unfamiliar contraption around one of their shoulders, which was now held in a matter as similar as he held his bow when he sensed another's presence.
The 5 individuals they approached, Leo noticed, acted as one. Each seemed to have their own reason, or use (whatever that may be) and seemed to move, glide, and step to one another. If there's anything more that Leo admired, was teamwork, and one thing similar that he'd never known: Family. Oh, how he longed for that feeling.
There was a slight twist in his gut at the thought that if these individuals are indeed the "Mad Elven", this just might be what he'd been searching for all his life. To be simply put, he needed to stop traveling alone for 10 years at a time.
His blood pumped rapidly, and his fur stood on end in sheer excitement. His emotion was getting, literally, flared up. His mane began to slightly glow like smoldering embers.
In his adrenaline, he almost forgot that he was trying to be as discreet as possible, and tried to get through the crowds for an up close look at the this group of exeedingly (and still growingly) interesting people. |

An altogether smaller feline moved towards the group. Muan, in his grey house-cat form silently padded towards the Mad Eleven, or rather, the Mad Five. He had seen the notice earlier that day. Three thousand years... Muan had always wanted to see just how much better the future was, and despite being immortal he wasn't a very patient cat.
Ah, it seemed the Mad Five were being menaced by two humans with a...what was it called? Ah yes, a shotgun. Muan shook his small head, Humans had always been impetuous, and the Felin didn't see any use in them and their random behaviour. Still, he padded up to the group, greeting each with a barely perceptible nod. In the midst of the much larger people the cat sat down on its haunches and asked,
~So when is the three thousand year trip?~ _________________

((Time for characters with the weirdest origin ever. Taking an interest in this RP mostly because I have numerous ideas that could be exercised here and here only. Also 3000 years will be fun if this is the Immortal Injustice timeline, since I was planning on having, at the very least, the entire Pantheon die in a thousand years.))
A boy cried out happily upon reading the flyer. "Oh, Sweeney, can we go? Pleaaaase? I always wanted to see the future! Please, please, please?"
The man behind him, Sweeney, leaning upon a cane, frowned but did not say anything.
The boy's sparkling silver eyes widened, in an attempt to earn sympathy from his guardian.
Sweeney looked away, his own eyes a deep brown, and sighed. "Fine," he muttered, his voice high pitched and with a wooden resonance to it.
The boy cheered, surprised that Sweeney had given up so quickly. His own voice was very distinctive, causing those who hear it to recall wind chimes. "Now where are these Mad Eleven people to send us off?" _________________ Shaon Galatea -- Artist | Musician | Radio DJ | Voice Actor | Writer |

Intyalle, by mutual consent, took another step back from the confrontation in order to talk to the newcomer, who at very least wasn't threatening them and therefore deserved the courtesy of an answer.
While someone else may have kept a nervous eye on the scene, Intyalle turned to face the small cat - she could tell quite well enough what was going on through her bond with the others.
"Not a three thousand year trip, as such," she corrected. "Most of us won't live that long. No, the adventure will be a good deal shorter than three thousand years - the cryogenic freezing will be three thousand years, unless someone wakes us before then, of course. It is a possibility." _________________ Characters:

Nola rolled her eyes, whilst Kalat glowered at them suspiciously and made it clear that he wasn't about to give up his shotgun so easily by resolutely tightening his grip on it. Even during this small interaction though, the two were speaking to each other telepathically. Kalat had linked himself to the red haired teenager so they could do that, as it was his gift and they worked far better together like this. Nola could not talk to anyone mind to mind, though she could do other, far more devastating ones.
~Kalat, what are you doing?~
~I'm sorry Nola, it was instinct. I've got my gun out, I have a feeling someones following us~
The young girl paused in her mind briefly, considering what had just been imparted. Kalats instinct was usually dead on, but still...
~You should know better than this~ Nola snapped through the link ~warn me next time~
"It's not even aimed at any of you" the brown haired boy said "so why do you think we're threatening you?" the second pair of the groups voice was clearly nowhere near as insincere as his partners. He even sounded hurt.
"Oh yes" Nola said sarcastically to the rest of the group, as Intyalle had turned to talk to what Nola thought was a very rude cat "we approached in a 'hostile manner' because Kalat here is the only one of us holding an unaimed weapon for the purpose of putting your entire group in a panic. If we wanted to cause you harm" she finished, with a twisted half smile and a glint in her green eyes that suggested she knew something they didn't "we would have done it by now. Actually we wanted to ask about this freezing for three thousand years thing, but I'm not sure I wanna be stuck in the future with people who jump at things that aren't to do with them... and far too late" _________________ Baker of the radioactive three-eyed flying purple cookie eating brownies!

New People. More Potential Cohorts. Possible Friends. Time Traveling Partners. These, among many other phrases and words ratting around in his mind brought water to Leo's eyes in excitement. His attention now drawn to a cat....who really didn't feel like a cat at all. There was something Leo's noticed, but he couldn't quite put it claw on it.
He suddenly pryed his attention back to the young one with the strange...thing, whatever it was, in his hand. Everyone seemed to have panicked when it was drawn. Was it some sort of weapon? Torture device? It didn't seem to be particularily aimed at anyone...
Something in the back of his head (which was ignored in the midst of his excitement) sensed that that contraption WAS a weapon, a dangerous one....and the reason it was drawn because someone knew he was there. A small mind in the back of Leo's head uttered a small prayer that it wasn't right.
Finally, his patience snapped, and he could contain himself no longer. He pushed his way throgh a small crowd, and wholeheartedly approached the group whom was his center of prime interest.
However, when he finally felt he was in definate potential line of sight, he froze. In his haste, he forgot that he wasn't used to approaching large groups with intention of announcing his presence...let alone his name.
Now in plain sight, he was lost for words...locked, frozen, and feeling quite embarassed. |

"I think I have a right to feel threatened when someone draws a weapon while approaching me, whether it's aimed at me or not," Tel'Erusva said, nevertheless straightening slightly. "And given that one of my personalities happens to be able to resurrect quite quickly even while not in her body, and the fact that any of us can co-inhabit a body, it doesn't matter how fast you are. Even if you killed all of us that are here, I have another six bodies I can inhabit until these ones are brought back to life again. Eventually, we would get you. You could say it gives us quite an edge in combat."
The others all cautiously adopted a more normal posture, though Melanaur kept her fireball and played with it idly.
"Noldokuruni, please go make sure the others get here," Tel'Erusva said off to the side before turning back to the two in front of her. Noldokuruni nodded quickly before walking off.
Tel tucked her hands behind her back. "My name is Tel'Erusva." She grinned at her own joke. "Well truly, that's not my real name, but I not at all keen to hand that out. Tel'Erusva is as much of a name as you're going to get. These others are all some part or other of me. Some of these parts are friendly enough, or even pretty much harmless - others are currently not present because they either clash too strongly with other aspects of me or because they're a danger.Of course, then there's just the ones that plain don't care enough to turn up... frankly, it's an odd group you'll be travelling with."
She introduced those behind her, pointing at each in turn. "Beside me here is Kathcantavaria, or Varia. She's the cat part of me. Behind her was Noldokuruni, who left just before. She's an all-around magic user. She means well, but couldn't get a spell to serve its true purpose if her life depended on it, so she's stopped trying and generally casts the opposite of what she wants now. Behind me is Melanaur, fire. Also a bit nasty, as you'll find." Melanaur grinned at that. "At the back there is Intyalle, bookworm and ressurecter. Not present are Agarwala, violence, Mist, wind and apathy, SFNut, fangirl and lover of science fiction, Eldalie, elf with a very black-and-white view of the world, Minerva, Aspergers, and Insanity.... she, er, nibbles herself quite a lot."
Kathcantavaria pulled away from the group and padded over to the distinctly feline human who had just approached. She sat, cocked her head, and studied him. He looked quite keen, she decided, but also very embarrassed. In an attempt to make him more comfortable, she changed first to a lioness form and then slowly shifted towards human until her form was much like his own.
She lacked on stature, of course, her natural height being a bit less than five and a half feet. Her skin was covered in short golden-brown fur, and her eyes and ears were were definitely cat, but aside from that she looked rather human. Close enough, she decided.
"Hello?" she said, her voice carrying an undertone of the rumble of a big cat. "Are you here to join us?" _________________ Characters:

In his frozen state, a lioness almost immediately appeared before him. His emotions when from embarassed, to confused, and suddenly awestruck at a being that was very much similar to his own kind. A flare in his chest began to grow, and he soon thawed from his frozen state of mind, and finally began to feel his vocal cords in working condition. His warmth began to show as his entire body began to glow a lighter shade of his deep golden-brown fur.
For a slight second, his heart pumped testosterone and he felt almost in love at the sight of a friendly, and non-alien face, but almost immediately disappeared.
He stifled a response at the greeting from the lioness, with a deep, yet soft and uneasy: "Uhm...uh...Hello..."
"If...this is the place for the...uh...distant time trip...then Yes, I'm here to...join you," he hesitated.
In his response he felt a dire need to be essentially courteous, and polite. He became instantly cheerful, and smiled very warmly, and uttered in a pleasing, and less withdrawn voice: "My name is Ruis--uhm, Leo. What may I call you, lioness?" He wondered how odd he looked. Changing from frozen, to shy, to charismatic-ish, and suddenly struggling in his own introduction...all the while emenating a bright glow from his entire body.
He stressed back a frown and choke as his words slipped 'neath his teeth and whiskers, hoping to whatever god was out there that no-one noticed his verbal stumble. |

Nolas twisted smile remained upon her face, even as Tel'Erusva spoke of how she believed they were fairly unstoppable together. Nola knew the feeling, although her 'family' consisted only of one other person.
"I never said anything about killing anyone" Nola said after Tel'Erusva had finished, and left it at that, as she didn't quite yet feel the need to share exactly what they could do "but anyway, I'm Nola"
The fiery haired girl then turned towards her partner, who seemed puzzled for a brief moment, then shrugged and returned the shotgun to it's resting place.
~Whoever was following us has stopped now~ Kalat reported to her through their link, seeing the puzzled look she gave him.
"And this is Kalat. We are both... psychics, in a manner" Nola then turned back towards the group "Plus we make a good team together"
Kalat smiled in his position just behind and to the side of Nola, that had to be one of the best compliments she'd ever given him. _________________ Baker of the radioactive three-eyed flying purple cookie eating brownies!
