I almost feel guilty

Many months ago when I finally got reliable wireless that would let my DS online I started investigating the GTS and just to see how it worked I put up my spare Shieldon for trade. Pretty much as a joke I asked for Dialga in return. Since then I've ignored the GTS so the trade stayed up, I never bothered checking it because I didn't expect anyone to actually trade me.

Until today. I was going to look at what people wanted in return for Chimchar and Piplup and lo and behold I find a Pokeball flying at me. Took me a minute to remember I even had a trade going and then I just burst out laughing.

I know you can't get Shieldon in Diamond but it still doesn't seem like anywhere near a fair trade. Not that I'm complaining, I'm just amazed it happened.

Sort-of update on this: I've now gone from amazed to downright confused.

Every time I try a perfectly resonable, sensible trade (like Misdrevus for Murkrow) it takes me ages to find anyone willing to trade, more often than not it won't happen at all. But when I do something totally unfair (like offer the same Misdrevus but ask for Spiritome in return) it's gone through in a fraction of the time.

I'm starting to think I might have to find someone to tempoarily trade me Darkrai, Mew ect. so I can look for them on the GTS, I'd probably have more luck than I've had trying to get the Diamond-exclusive Pokemon.
