Yet another week when I won't be on so much I'm afraid, my bf has a week off work and I'm going to see NOAH on Saturday.

I'll be away for the weekend. Going up north to sail. Closest thing to a computer up there is... well... an elk.

Seeing as it's my birthday tomorrow, I'm going to be completely gone for the whole of tomorrow, the rest of today and probably a significant amount on Thursdays.

I'll still be able to check things on my phone though Wink

I'm on holiday this week, hence my absence. I'm also suffering the aftermath of being sick yesterday so any posts I make within the next few days probably won't be as good as usual Sad

I'm not exactly 'on vacation', but this seems as good a place as any to explain my recent lengthy absence (did you notice? Razz

). This has mostly been copy-pasted from my post over on the Council forums so anybody who's read that doesn't need to read this.

It has been a long time since I last posted, mainly due to my inability to access a computer. My computer is currently not functional, my brother's borrowing my old one and currently studying/sitting his yr 12 exams (so he uses it a lot, and I'd feel bad taking him back off him in these last crucial weeks), and my youngest brother is an 8 year old Runescape addict who never lets anybody on the computer whenever he's around (which is a lot).

When I do hop on the computer, I'm now job hunting. It's not so much that I'm having a hard time finding something, rather that I'm having a hard time finding something that I'm interested in (this line of thought is usually rebutted with 'it's work, it's not meant to be interesting' Rolling Eyes ).

Recently I've been working for some relatives, a bit of office related stuff and helping them furnish some apartments (they're in commercial furnishing). It was good work, good experience and good money (and it certainly kept me busy), but not very good for long term, as it seems as though they no longer need my help. Sucks, but it was never going to be anything more than temporary in the first place.

I've also signed up for the JLPT (Japanese Language Proficiency Test), an international test held to evaluate one's Japanese skills. It's going to be on in just over a month so I've got to put in plenty of extra study leading up to it.

As well as all of this, my only 'computer' that I have 24/7 access to at the moment is my ipod, which I hate using to browse the internet. The browser has a nasty habit of crashing (a lot) and it loads things incredibly slowly for some reason, and typing on the ipod itself is just stupid.

So ultimately the points that I'm trying to get to are (1) sorry for being a stranger as of late and (2) unfortunately, I'll most likely continue to be a stranger for a while. As much as I used to (and still would) love to spend time RPing with you all, the internet is really not something that I have very much time for these days.

That said, if you need/want to speak to me about anything, I do still check my e-mails on a fairly regular basis, so that's always a good way to go.

Were I you 3kul I would not worry overmuch about being absent from Blackstar lately. These last few months have seen more absent members than present, although the reason eludes me.

Take the time you need for your home life, it is after all the priority we all must keep to.

Just to let you guys know:

I'm going to be gone for the next week. I went on this same trip last year, and then it was so scheduled I didn't have much time for interneting, and when I did I couldn't find anyplace to hook up. And I doubt it's changed that much. So yeah, don't expect me around. When I get back next Saturday, I'm going to start a discussion about the starting point for the Podcast, so until then, keep up the RP

I'm not technically going on vacation, but in the process of replacing my laptop's keyboard I killed something involving the display, which now doesn't work Sad

While I heartily believe in my troubleshooting and repair skills, I'm not sure how long it will be before I have a dedicated computer of my own again (I'm using my family's desktop right now, which is a major pain.)
