"Boss, look what crawl up from sewer - big yellow rat." Caton hissed, taking an immediate dislike towards Coolpikaaa for showing such blatant disrespect towards his master. "We seem to have very different ideas of what 'under control' means, Coolpikaaa." HollowEyes calmly responded to the rodent's taunts as he blocked a volley of arrows with a skilled twirl of his arm blades. He hadn't realized that Coolpikaaa had been here, though the fact that he'd allowed the riots to get this bad was hardly surprising - in HollowEyes' mind, Coolpikaaa wasn't really worth noting as an enemy.
At this point the rioters had begun to slow down, and the ones who could still get out of there decided that they'd be better off doing so. The presence of the two famous (or in HollowEyes' case, infamous) Dojodians convinced most of them that the looting in this part of town wasn't worth the trouble.
"Well, that takes care of the lowlives..." HollowEyes paused for a moment to remove the broken arrows stuck in his boney arm blades, then glowered at Coolpikaaa in a most threatening manner, his third eye snapping open for emphasis. "Care to fill me in on what's going on Coolpikaaa, or do I have to beat it out of you?" He knew that he shouldn't be wasting time with the world coming to an end and all, but something about the electric rat just rubbed HollowEyes the wrong way. _________________ If I'm not here, I'm probably over at...

"Hmmf. Your theatrics don't scare me."
...That much.
Coolpikaaa moved a bit closer to Holloweyes, taking a second to growl and shoot a spark at Caton for his "rat" comment.
"Where shall I start? The fact that DP died? Or that his lack of being around is causing the world to eat itself?"

[to Lilic]
The bellhop at the train station was an pleasant youth, roughly twenty-five but warm enough to soften any age-group. Things had been quiet lately, what with the recent divine tragedy and the rumours and all but he had a job to do, and the wages were good, so he put his best foot forward. An angelic creature, flapping exhaustedly towards the station, barely brushed the youth’s attention away from current thoughts until her one-sided conversation and striking cat-like eyes pulled him away from the inside of his head.
He had to admit: he usually didn’t date outside his species, least of all the over-the-top crazies, but she was pretty easy on the eyes. “Can I help you, miss?â€
[to Ensichrys and company]
The man’s eyes widened as the Guivre reared back, but he maintained a professional composure of unfrightened objectivity. Dealing with creatures resembling deep-sea eels tends to jade one’s fear response.
Ensichrys, ever the diplomat, seemed to especially appeal to the man’s better nature. While now quite accustomed to negotiating with species radically different from his own, a humanoid with a pleasant demeanour never failed to win over the man’s confidence. "We're right behind you," the bird-being said. The human never doubted it.
“I am Doctor Wallace, the lead administrator and head project Aleph coordinator. I received a message from the Owl a few minutes your arrival and have been anticipating your arrival. Throughout my career I’ve specialized in dealing in with anomalous materials and have had much success with manipulating dimensional parity. However, some things have perplexed me as of late and my fellow associates so far have been unable to derive anything meaningful. I have the suspicion that you three might be key to a breakthrough.â€
Another octagonal lift had descended and Doctor Wallace had stepped onto its transparent, smooth surface. “Please, this way.â€
[ to Kazumaru]
The Trinity Team’s ATV idled as the group readied themselves, the vehicle locked to all but authorized users and its trio of testosterone-sodden experts dispatched. The cave of Kazumaru, wrecked by a crashed rocket and an alien entity’s clash with one of the cave’s defenders, awaited the visitors in a sorry state.
The laid-back Southerner, codenamed ‘Gary’, shot a mean squint at Kazumar. Her rugged face made her thirty-six years struggle a hard against a wry, unflappable demeanour.
“We don’t take kindly to name-callin’, mister. Our capt’n ain’t what you’d call the most eloquent man to grace the gods’ earth, but he’s a good head above the average joe when it comes to them specialist skills.
The Brooklyn kid, Guy, looked in his early thirties and acted like he’d just turned 21. A little less confident than the other two, he goaded the spirit a little less cockily and maintained an nervous respect.
“Yeah, leave the harassment to between us, buddy.â€
Gustav, the leader, was a black man in his fifties with the physique of a navy S.E.A.L and the lateral thinking skills of a CEO. His dreadlocks, cropped to a two-inch length, framed his square jawline like black spider silk. He looked in charge, and knew it.
“Ya made agreement wit de Owl, an he’s deliva’d. We ar’ da Trinity Team, and we’re here to help prep for da Owl’s mission.â€
[to Arian, Blaen and company]
The Owl’s could not have expected any less. Explorers always were slightly off-balance, and Blaen made no exception to this generality. Blandly mixed, the armadillo looked and acted like someone who’d been to places in space and time that most beings weren’t really meant to be privy to.
Experiences I can sympathize with
Twitchily, the explorer nosed through the documents strewn about the table, seeking out patterns that the Owl knew weren’t there, or at least weren’t perceptible to any other creature in the multiverse.
"So this guy didn't do straight lines huh?†He said at last, more of a declaration of fact than a serious query. “I mean all this stuff wouldn't really be this wobbly in real life would it? Looks pretty sculpted 'side from that. Wouldn't make sense t'sculpt it wobbly like that."
“No, it would not. While some of Psychotopia’s gardeners are known for their …. creativity, this garden was planted by the realm’s creator, and she was never known for being that erratic. I fear palsy, schizophrenia and an inquisition hot for blood are to blame here.â€
"Would you be willing to try?" Arian cut in.
"Well of couse I would boss. Wouldn't be much use if I weren't. I'll go now shall I?"
Rocking his head from side to side, Blaen muttered something to himself before phasing out of existence with the small yet startling pop that Danikat’s legions always seemed to employ. It never ceased to startle the Owl at some fundamental level, as if the harmless sound of a bursting balloon and the unpleasant reality of worlds between worlds somehow reminded him of his own mysterious and uncomfortable origin.
Once he was certain the adventurer was no longer present, the Owl asked “Tell me, how does your collective manage to keep itself from a psychic breakdown?“
Not that it matters. This one may be a few ales short of a tavern, but he clearly knew how to do what he needed to do. This world shall be in safe hands, and our Renaissance shall soon begin. The Holy Prince shall see to that.
((No worries. It seemed to fit the character fine, and I think the RP could use a little push along.))
[to Coolpika]
“Coolpika, come in please. Coolpika, come in.â€
Aboard the orbital station the Owl’s team deployed themselves effectively, installing the appropriate communication’s hardware without hindrance, either technical or administrative. The primary communication’s specialist was at the comms, hailing down to the planet below in the hopes of contacting the station’s commander.
“We require an infomatic status update. Inform us of your current location and status, please. Coolpika, come in please.â€
[to Blackfoot, Holloweyes, Coolpika and company]
The mouse in Blackfoot’s hand squeaked again, gesturing to be handed over to Holloweyes. The Parasitian commander hardly seemed like the idea conversationalist for a bite-sized creature, but the mouse seemed to know something the other two didn’t. Growing impatient, the rodent scurried out of the obsidian hand and pattered along to the Evil Council commander’s side, tapping impatiently at his foot. _________________ If I were I as wise, as many have said

((Would anyone care to tell me hopw close we are to Blackfoot's group? I was under the impression we were a bit away and just wanted to be sure.)
"Why hello there little fel-"Coolpikaaa started, looking down at the mouse by Holloweyes foot.
“Coolpika, come in please. Coolpika, come in.â€
Swinging the pack around, he set it down on the ground in front of him and pulled what looked like a simple radio out.
“We require an infomatic status update. Inform us of your current location and status, please. Coolpika, come in please.â€
"I'm here, I read you loud and clear."Coolpikaaa spoke into the device, standing back up."We are at shop row...or what used to be it. Right outside of my corner shop.I am fine for now, Holloweyes and his lackey are also with me.
How are you doing up there?"

HollowEyes groaned and rolled his eyes at this response. He'd been at the funeral and everything, how could Coolpikaaa think that he didn't know that much? "I'm well aware that DP's death is causing the Dojo to collapse in on itself, what I wanted to know was what people are doing to prevent it, or how much time we have left." He said in an irritated tone. "You know, something useful?"
Any hopes of Coolpikaaa delivering on this had to be put on hold however, as it seemed he'd suddenly received an important call. Before he could voice any further annoyance at being ignored like this, the light tapping of a mouse at HollowEyes' foot (along with Coolpikaaa's side-comment greeting it) reminded him that this was hardly the time. "A mouse... HisLordship sent you?" He felt a bit foolish to be making such an assumption, but he didn't know anybody else who sent mice on errands like the owl did. Caton seemed to be drooling slightly at the sight of the bite-sized creature, but a sharp glare from his master was more than enough to permanently deter him from thinking any further along these lines. "How goes HisLordship's plans?" HollowEyes asked the mouse, picking it up off the ground and placing it on the flat side of one of his arm blades.
He didn't know if the mouse could talk or not, but even if it couldn't it could surely manage some sort of gesture to indicate how things had progressed in the time that he'd been gone. _________________ If I'm not here, I'm probably over at...

"Ha! The great and powerful second in command knows nothing. What a situation...."Coolpikaaa said with a smirk. This was actually fun.
"Given the present situation however, I Guess I can let you in on the plan.
The owl wants to use the tracking and information systems on my station to find Embri's foal so we can possibly save the world. When I was up there, it said we found something but I guess it must be a fluke.Eventually I was chased by that mob you saw, and ended up here."

((Sorry again for the late response. I've been busy with graduation junk the last little while. Sorry everyone))
"Huh...Oh hi" Lilic said to the young bellhop as she watched him carefully. "I am looking for a train so I can go to Fountainhead Station sir." Lilic told him as she looked around. "Is there a train that I could get to that station...I am visiting from Galt's Gulch and I need to go there...Flying all that way would wear me out..." She said a little nervous, not sure if she was doing this right but then again she was also not used to using the trains either. _________________ Multi-hosting RP site, smaller one-topic RPs. ((I'm baaaack!))
Ensichrys followed Wallace when prompted. He was not surprised that HisLordship had already informed Wallace of their arrival. Ensichrys had counted on it, being unfamiliar with this facility.
The Guivre understood little of the conversation. He heard Wallace say that they had some kind of key. The Guivre had no keys. Usually Mortracta holds onto Ensichrys' keys, and there were only three of them. One for the cave's mobile base door, the other for a basic EC fighter pod, and the other for the dark closet in the back of his room.
Mortracta understood the conversation. She was leery, but perhaps there were more important things than herself. If there was ever a noble cause that any creature could be proud of, this was probably it.
Ensichrys was on a similar emotional wavelength. This extra-planar existence had suddenly become extremely important, particularly with a place like the Nexus, where materials and energies from every part of the multiverse made an appearance at one time or another.
"Dr. Wallace," said the ex-knight, "Can you tell us more about this breakthrough? What are the specifics of our purpose with you?" _________________

"With all the teleportation you mean?" Arian paused, wondering just how much he should share with the Owl, who was after all technically an enemy. "Well, the dragons evolved the trait of course, I'd assume there were some messy intermediary stages but as far back as records go they've had genetic safe-guards in place to prevent any problems. With us it's a little more complicated but much the same; these abilities are part of us and so are the protections against the harm they could cause. These days a jump almost always results in either sucess or death." Inexplicably the armadillos tone strongly implied that this was far better than the alternative.
"There once was a case study where....Ah! He's arrived. Blaen's made it to the garden and he says he's got the coordinates we need to send in the dragons."
(One problem now is writing Danikat out of her meeting with Treesprite which seems to be going no where fast.)) _________________ Oh what a tangled web we weave when first we practice to decieve ~ Sir Walter Scott

"That's amazing Coolpikaaa," HollowEyes said in a bored and sarcastic tone. "Despite the fact that I know next to nothing about the current situation, you managed to tell me everything that I already knew without giving me any new information whatsoever, thus proving yourself to be even more useless to me than I could have possibly imagined." He turned his back to the ever-impudent electric rodent, leaving Caton to continue eyeballing him. "If you don't mind, I think I might try my luck getting information out of this tiny mouse."

((I've been inactive because all my characters are tied up in waiting for other people. Danikat was meeting with Treesprite and Brayen to find out why large chunks of the Dojo seem to be in The Grove instead but both of them stopped posting a while ago, the armadillos can't do anything else without Danikat and The Olvari are waiting for the rest of the group in Psychotopia to head through the warp portal.
I'm beggining to think it might be easier for DP to just write out an ending to this RP and leave it at that because it doesn't seem to be going anywhere really and in the process is holding up other RP's, or making them very complicated with everyone having to specify what's set before or after and how that affects things. Besides the ending has already been given away in The Catalogue.))[/img] _________________ Oh what a tangled web we weave when first we practice to decieve ~ Sir Walter Scott

Maybe that is easier.

((Actually, by my clock it was early in the morning of the 14th
I get the feeling that nobody feels like posting in this topic anymore is because the ending's already been established. It seems to happen quite often with most of these bigger RPs - once we can see how it's going to end, we sort of already treat it like it's over and create new RPs set after it.
Unfortunately I can't do too much myself at the moment - I'm waiting for HisLordship's mouse to respond to HE. Normally I'd just leave it since he hasn't posted in this thread for a while now, but I don't really know what else I'd do in this RP )) _________________ If I'm not here, I'm probably over at...
