2006 was a fantastic year for Blackstar. I can remember it well, as though it were almost two years ago...

Back when I had a rippling six pac, and most of you were nothing but a gleam in the milkman's eye, our friend DP here decided to create a new Information Super Highway Site where fellow surfers (as Internet users were known back then) could come and post much ado about nothing. On this "Site", Internet users would be able to participate in something known as PR or RP or some other baloney.

When he first pitched the idea to me, I admit it, I scoffed at the very thought. I mean, people only used the World Wide Web to search for flaming GIFs of skulls and pleasure themselves to people's pet cat galleries, so why would anyone take any interest in an unknown activity such as Roleplay? Roleplay should be saved for times of urgent need only, such as fraud, pretending to have a criminal conviction to get out of jury duty, and/or sultry activities. I remember saying at the time "DP, my good man! What in blazes are you blithering on about, you unscrupulous halfwit of gastronomic proportions? This is 2006, and the world is not ready for this sort of nonsense, I shall bet a steak dinner on it!"

Regardless, DP was insistant that his vision could become a reality and proceeded to try and convince me, but I was too busy trying to catch the attention of the busty barmaid at the local public house we were in attendance of to listen to this tomfoolery. The barmaid, I later found out, was affectionately known as Big Baz, and it wasn't the ironic nickname I had hoped it to be after I paid for a trip to the pictures. We saw Casablanca, as was the film of choice back in those days. You youngsters might not have heard of it. In fact, I bet you've never seen the classic films of my era, such as The Shawshank Redemption, Citizen Kane, and Freddy Got Fingered.

Anyway, I forget where I was...ah yes, so in an attempt to shut him up, I lent DP 200,000,000 cls to help start Blackstar, and to pay for his bus fare home. In return, he promised to buy me a mansion once "hell freezes over", which I assume must be soon because of this new Global Warming marlarky. If the world really is getting hotter, then surely the heat has to be coming from somewhere else really hot, like hell. If the world heats up much more, hell will be so cold that not even penguins would visit on their winter breaks.

So anyway, two years and one steak dinner later, DP has proven all his critics wrong (mostly by having them assassinated) and is the proud owner of a successful RP internet web site, as well as two illegitimate love children that I am not supposed to tell anyone about, who go by the names of Spencer and Fort. If you'll kindly indulge me, I'd like to propose a toast to DP and the wonderful work he has put into this website. So, newbies, raise a glass, and oldbies, raise your catheters, to DP!

Contrary to what this account may say, I've sort-of been a member since... *Checks first, dead account* 20th of May, 2006. Uh... Remember Bonnie Dudette? I registered but... died. Never posted once. Then Sfot came along and sammich-gagged me before shoving me into a burlap sack and chucking me into a river that just happened to go through the Dojo. I was found by a couple of pink black bears who dragged me out of the water, freed me from the sack, and removed the burden that was my insides. When they left to go drag my guts off to feed their starving spawn, I was kinda sad. I'd grown rather attatched to them in the 30 minutes I spent with them.
