Where there was never a house, there suddenly was. It wasn’t a particularly unnoticeable house to be sure. What with all the large elaborate windows and the fact that it had seven floors visible. The door was extraordinarily large as well, though it was actually two doors, one reached up to the second floor, that was the main door, but for more normal sized and weak people there was a small normal sized replica of the large door at the bottom of said door.

Now it just so happened that at the same time this house appeared, its owner stepped out of the smaller door. He was rather impressive, dressed in a fine morning suit; his top hat was blown slightly to the side by a gust of wind and his monocle fell from his eye.

“I say, I say, where are we this time? Dash it all if we aren’t in another strange place…” he exclaimed as he looked around with satisfaction, he smiled, “…a very civilised place by the looks of it…” Yes here would do nicely, he would host a murder mystery weekend with a difference…after all he had travelled the house through so many realms he had picked up a few extra ‘guests’. Some demonic blood sacrificing cultists, a man eating tiger or two, and god knows what other creatures.

He promptly snapped his fingers and several butlers came out of the house. “Be good chaps Jeeves’ and go put up the fliers around this quite impressive place.” With that he turned and went inside, the butler’s set to work.

(For those of you who want to know what this is, it’s as it says, a murder mystery RP, shocking I know, I will not be involved with a character but will instead be the master of the house and also be in control up until certain points of certain NPC’s and certain things about the house, there shall be twists and surprises, those of you wishing to join, take it that you saw one of the many fliers having been put up around the place, come and enjoy, but wait outside and knock first. Also take it as things that die in the house do not die permanently but will be thrown out revived and barred)

Kiyai stared long and hard at the flyer. When it didn't explode into flames or grow multiple legs, she begun to read it.
~Interesting...~ she though, mulling it over in her mind. Recently, with nothing interesting happening with the Felbeasts, and no invasions, explosions or implosions of any kind, to the best of her knowledge, she had become rather bored. This seemed to be the perfect cure for it.

Now to find the actual house... She quickly scanned around, before her eyes rested on an enormous house. Seven storeys high at least, huge windows elaborately places around, and a door. An immeasurable door that towered up to the second floor. She happily made her way to it.

Arriving, she noticed that the enormous door she had spied was actually two doors in one. The huge one, and a smaller, normal-sized door set inside it. She was about to open it when she stopped, remembering her manners, or rather, her parents' manners which she had learnt from them. Gingerly, she knocked hard on the smaller door.

501 scrutinises a flyer. "...Oh, why not." After contemplating taking the flier with him, he stops mid-step and realises he's holding it. "I need to stop doing that."

He crumples the flier into a ball and throws it over his shoulder. Thinking better of it, he grabs it, throws it away and runs as fast as he can before some vigilante tracks him down for littering. This is Blackstar, after all. There's every possibility of there being at least one citizen who's pledged their cause to keeping the streets clean at any cost.

After arriving at the house he stares. He nods once and mutters. "Nice place."
He looks up. "Big, too."

He strolls up to the door, hands held behind his cylindrical glowing torso, and nods to Kiyai. "Evening. Or morning. Can't quite tell with this place. What's the situation with this house?"

The knock at the small door was barely audible, but with a swift promptness found in most butlers one of the Jeeves' answered the door opening it swiftly, his head slightly lowered, his gaze staring intently at the floor he stepped back the door swinging inwards.

"Welcome honoured guests to this house of my master, he shall be with you shortly, we await others, as we hope more will come...else...our master may not be too happy." The butler turned slightly gesturing to an elaborately designed and furnished room, it must have been nearly the size of a football pitch, there were wll placed sofas all over the place, elaborately made as was everything. The walls were littered with doors, there must have been at least fifteen on each side. With a rather large spiral staircase in the very center of the room.

"Do take a seat somewhere please, however at this time I must tell you until the game starts my master has express instructions that you do not at any time even open a door or take one step up the stairs. Lest his wrath come upon you, please do not anger the master...this is his house, and his word is absolute, his word is law, his word is death..." With that the butler flicked a switch hidden behind the door, he then turned and disappeared out one of the side doors leaving those inside alone, the little door remained open, held by the mechanical mechanism activated by the switch.

(I hope more shall join, if not I fear it might be a terribly short game. But fear not, I can always spice it up. Once others are joined there shall be I am afraid a somewhat long post detailing the general layout of the house.)

A mischievous smile slowly crept onto Kiyai's face as she took in the multitude of doors, the spiral staircase, and, more importantly, the fact that she was forbidden to open any.

Rules had always been an unnecessary luxury in Kiyai's opinion. Even during her tenure as Chief Technologist of the Drai Clans she had constantly ignored rules, as if to see just how far she could bend them or get away with breaking. Still, repressing her urge to disobey and open a door, she flopped down into a seat. Noticing 501 for the first time she inclined her head,

"Nice day, isn't it?" she remarked. Then she stood up, chose a door at random, and placed her hand on the handle.

A fairly short but slim woman, 5'4 to be exact, stood in the streets of Dojopolis looking at one of the many fliers posted around the place 'They must have gotten someone semi-normal to put these fliers up' she thought to herself as she read what it said 'these aren't actually flying'. The woman, Karen, walked along the streets until her mismatched green and brown eyes found the place that the posters mentioned, although they hadn't actually talked. After so long living in this place, inside her Magical Oddities shop with a creature who said who said she had been human once, it was strange to her to see anything 'normal' here at all. It looked out of place.

She wasn't disappointed once she got there however, as the silky black haired human found that the door had another door inside it, and there were already people gathering around it. She smiled as she approached, whilst fixing her material headband so it was more comfortable. She wasn't carrying her old rune book either, although she had a few unfinished pictures tucked away in her leather jacket.

"Hello" she said to the others as she got closer to the small door, and because the fliers had instructed her knocked on the door.

((You're in luck, I've decided to try out two of my newest character here.. Razz Here we go....))

Drakthos had not had the chance to visit much of Dojopolis or Blackstar for that matter. He'd found himself sat in a cafe drinking a cup of tea, relaxing before he began to explore the place, to learn all of the nooks and side streets, to meet the most shady and most charismatic of Blackstar. He'd stopped drinking to observe a relatively 'normal' humanoid enter the cafe and place a flier upon the notice board.

Thinking to himself, a murder mystery weekend, perhaps some of the locals might go, out of pure interest. It would certainly be an interesting way of meeting some of the local residents. After leavin the cafe, it didn't take him too long to find the new house, it wasn't like it had had a discreet arrival to Blackstar. Locals were calling it 'The House That Never Was'. A charming name he thought.

Arriving at the house, Drakthos takes in details of the outside, how large it is, how wide, its decor and design. He was sure he'd find the inside nice, but not to his personal taste. He knew he'd look out of place at least, his black robes that appeared to be torn and frayed slightly at the edges, swishing slightly every time he moved, giving him an otherworldly appearance. His light purple bordering blue hair offered a cantrast to his clothing, long enough to give him a fringe and partially cover his eyes. His hand hovered near his sword for a moment, covered mostly by his robes, even though its long thick sword with a black hilt. It'd be hard for pople to focus on his sword much however, as if something ele distracted them.

Knocking on the the door loudly, once, Drakthos takes a step back from the door, awaiting a customary greeting from what he would expect to be a servant of the house of some kind.
____

Miyumi had been tasked to learn what she could of this place, a stranger to it, even with all of her studying, she still found this society to be incredibly odd. People with powerful technology at their fingertips and yet almost seeming a little of a middleaged period. With her faithful companion at her side they walked towards the house that many people had been talking about. Thinking of nothing better to do, she heads towards the door, seeing a man having knocked already. Her companion, something that looked like a Pantheresk, large and intimidating in appearance sniffed at the ground once, looks up at Miyumi, and then sits, beginning to lick her paw.

((If you don't know what a Pantheresk is, Swix has an explanation up in the genetic repository I think..))

(Many apologies to those of you in this, I've had an interesting time period recently and thusly lacked either the inclination or motivation to do any RPing, however I am back, and thusly here comes a post, but heck, it's summer, doubt you really missed me anyway)

Though the Jeeves' had disappeared the moment Kiyai's hand approached the door handle a resounding lack of sound occurred, the lights flickered. Down the spiral staircase walked, with the deliberate slowness found in the most eccentric of the aristocracy of every realm, was the master of the house.

"I say, how rude, how terribly rude you ragamuffin!" he spoke with clear outrage, his monocle falling from his eye, the right tip of his mouth twitched. "There was just one rule and you had to go try it, luckily for you peasant you didn't actually open the door, else I'd have to eject you."

Lazily dawdling towards the door to the outside, he hit is cane once on the marble floor. At once he was attended by a dozen butlers. There came succesive knocks at the door, he sighed, "Jeeves'! Why have you not answered the door! Several people have knocked!"

The tallest of the Jeeves' stepped forward and bowed low, "My apologies master, we will attend to it promptly." With that said one of the Jeeves' seemingly teleported over to the door and with easy grace pulled it open. Taking a submissive stance, bowing his head low to the crowd now gathered outside. "Enter if you would please, my master is getting quite upset at the lack of guests, we do not want to displease him more than is needed...that would be most unwise."

(I take it 501 has already entered with Kiyai, the others I've lumped together for convenience)

Sek walked among the streets of Blackstar, searching for Dymio, as KC had told her to keep an eye on him. She couldn't find him. What she did find was a flyer.

Sek wasn't exactly used to Dojonian culture, so the flyer naturally made her do a double take.

"Someone hosting a murder weekend?" she asked. She peered closer at the flyer, staying back in case it was one of those enchanted "sudden scary face pops out at you" joke papers that had been going around her homeland lately.

"Should be interesting." she said, shrugging her shoulders. She ripped the flyer off the wall and headed towards the house.

"Thank you" Karen said, flashing a smile at the butler that had opened the door before heading inside to mix with the group that had arrived here first. Given the lack of anything else to do, the leather clad human being sat down in one of the chairs provided whilst examining the others. Pretty much everyone was of different shapes and sizes, with the exception of the girl with the wild cat like creature who looked human and of course the butlers, so it was just like anywhere else in Dojopolis.

'I hope Tina can look after the shop without me' she thought worried before pushing the thought to the back of her mind, it had been bothering her all day as she'd chosen this day to take off, but she was being silly. The strangely hybridised creature was perfectly capable of doing things by herself, Karen should give her more credit.

"So" she piped up eventually, trying to start a general conversation rather than just moping by herself "does anyone know whether there's a limit to how many people are supposed to come?"
