((Alright then, time to bump it and see what happens ))
Beh-Et shook his fist and unclenched his claws, his burning red eyes lifting their gaze from Smuggy.
"So it would seem..." Beh-Et said, acknowledging Geawes' observation. "A victory for all Grendels. The first of many, I believe." He gazed about his surroundings, the smell of freshly dead Norns filling his lungs. Dead though they were, that stench still sickened him. Beh-Et needed some fresher air, or else he felt like he was going to throw up.
"I'm going to check that the rest of the Docking Station is clear. Anybody who wants to follow me can, though you're just as welcome to rest. Enjoy the spoils of war, that sort of thing." He didn't sound terribly enthusiastic, but decided that he'd do both, and hit a button on the emphatic vendor on his way out. Taking a bite out of his Peking Pie, he made his way through to the Workshop. _________________ If I'm not here, I'm probably over at...

Splyce was still crouched in the carrot patch, his bloodshot eyes fixated on the smashed lift button. The stench of his dead brethren and their reptillian murderers filled his nostrils, making him sick to his stomach. He tried to step back further but bumped into the carrot vendor. "Grndl exmly sick... retreat food..." He promptly emptied the contents of his stomach before he passed out, lying on his side in the carrot patch.

Dana growled to herself as she leant against the wall in the Hub, taking large deep lungfuls of air in as she finally, gradually calmed herself down. It even helped a little when Beh-Et walked past, though he seemed in such a hurry that he completely missed her. But then, she'd missed what he'd said in the Meso, so it probably balances out.
"Don't mind Dana" she snarled softly "not like I have anything better to do right now" _________________ Baker of the radioactive three-eyed flying purple cookie eating brownies!

((Sorry to have ignored this for so long all, here's a surprise twist bump-post to apologize ))
The metallic door slid closed behind Grah-Et as he entered the Workshop, licking the last of the Peking Pie from his fingers. It was quiet, with no sign of any lifeforms, but something here wasn't right...
"targ pntr attr 32"
A large floating hand suddenly appeared before Grah-Et, instantly recognizable as the ghastly appendage infamous for it's blatant favouritism towards the Norns. Most Grendels would live out their entire lives without ever seeing it, but Grah-Et had heard enough rumours to recognize it, along with it's magick words. "You are too late, hand. The Meso belongs to us now."
"This is an unexpected twist. It seems I've been too soft on your kind." The eerie voice responded, seeming to emanate from the hand and yet it obviously had nothing with which to speak with. "Too soft?!" Grah-Et spat back, outraged at this remark. "You've never given us anything, and yet you continue to nurture and nourish the bloated and ignorant Norn masses!" "I think you're a tad misinformed." The hand retorted. "If you'd ever seen or spoke with them, you'd know that I treat all of my Creatures equally. This is a Wolfling Run, I don't like to meddle with more than is necessary." "LIES!" Grah-Et bellowed, rushing at the hand in a rage.
"targ norn ages 1"
Grah-Et stumbled and fell at the shock of the Hand's CAOS magick hitting him, robbing him of his prime minutes and aging him until he was 'Old'. "What have you done to me?!" Grah-Et wailed, gazing at his now withered arms. The once muscular limbs that he'd been so proud of were pale comparisons to what they'd been just a few seconds ago. "Let that be a lesson to you." The Hand said in a commanding voice, ascending to the ceiling. "I will not always be around to watch over my Creatures, but when I am present I will not tolerate such abhorrent behaviour."
"targ pntr attr 48"
"Get back here!" Grah-Et screamed, his voice now raspy with old age. "Get back here and fix me!" He leaped up to grab at the hand as it disappeared, but came nowhere near it. "Goodbye, Grettin." The hand's voice echoed throughout the Workshop. "I doubt we'll ever meet again."
Grah-Et was beyond furious, and pounded his fists against the wall until they were raw and bleeding. It didn't take that long, and only served to remind him of how weak he'd become (which in turn just made him madder). "DAMN YOU HAND!" He shouted to nobody in particular, falling to his knees. This was the end for him, there was no way that the Grendels in the Meso would follow his lead now that he'd been forced to age into a shrivelled up husk of his former self... But what else could he do?
Faced with no alternative solution, Grah-Et rode the elevator down to the bottom floor and lay down to rest, hoping that the other Grendels might ignore him for long enough to allow him to conceive a plan to deal with this new predicament he found himself in. _________________ If I'm not here, I'm probably over at...

((Thankies for the twist, 3kul. Now I'm no longer brain-dead.
And even though I said I was leaving, I also said I'd come around occasionally - for RPs such as this one, finishing up what I started while I was still semi-active here.))
Geawes watched Beh-Et when he left the Meso. Where he went was not important to the Contaminated Grendel.
What was more important was replenishing his toxin supply. It had been decreasing steadily since he first got in here, using it as a weapon to slay the norns. However, it was also his primary source of nutrition. If it ran out, he would need to get infected again.
Instinctively, he began to hobble his way back to the Jungle Terrarium, but then stopped himself. There was a better place to get more toxins - the Garbage Dump. Hopefully, there was one installed on this ship.
If there was, the door to it was located inn... oh great, his memory was beginning to fail him. No, wait, it's coming back... oh yes, the Workshop.
Geawes promptly headed for his destination, figuring once he was fully rested up, and his toxins were restocked, he would find a way to dispose of the current grendel leader and become the supreme ruler of all the grendels. _________________ TheBlackSoul's Characters

Yema woke up to Sasha shaking her. She groaned and opened her eyes.
"Am I dead?" asked Yema. She looked around, and found she was still in the same place.
"Pity." she groaned. _________________ Because when you kill a guy by chopping his head off, rolling him up in a carpet, and burning it...you'd better make sure he's dead.

Dana snarled to herself again, the purple Grendel was finally getting calmer though the only grendels to pass through here ignored her. At least there was no Norn smell out here-or at least, no live Norn smell-to make her lose her top again.
The almost Banshee Grendel thought she remembered Beh-Et going into the Workshop on the other side of the room from here, since she calmed down and had not heard what he'd said from the other side of the door she decided to go and see if she could see him. That way she wouldn't go from calm to bored, and there would be less dead Norn scent in there. Well, the last bit she hoped.
The purple Grendel strode towards the Workshop door on powerful legs, before pushing it and making her way way through.
There was Norn scent here of course, the damn things were everywhere, the Ettin-Grendel of Beh-Et and something else, something different. Dana paused to scratch her head at this unfamiliar smell. _________________ Baker of the radioactive three-eyed flying purple cookie eating brownies!

"Nhn..."
Splyce opened his eyes and lifted his head to check his surroundings. The room swam into view while the noxious stench of dead norns threatened to knock him out again. He was in the same spot, in the carrot patch in the lower level of the norn meso. Although the grendels had gone, their stench still lingered in the still air. He pushed himself up onto his feet and staggered backwards, setting his claws on the commedia vendor to stop his descent. "Splyce... extremely... ill..." He mumbled as he clutched his stomach. He took a deep breath through his mouth before opening his eyes and looking around again. "Splyce extremely..." His lower lip trembled as he stepped forward, walking through where the bramboo would have been. "Extremely... lonely."
His ears drooped as he pressed the lift button, ignoring the huge dents and scratches around it. He waited patiently as the strange creature operating the lift grudgingly did it's job.
----
Smuggy winced as he slowly made his way to the lift, but the moment he reached it the doors had begun to close. All the grendels had left, or so he thought, could there be something else down there calling the lift?
Without taking a second thought he jammed his fist in the way of the doors, forced them apart, and stepped inside just before the lift made it's way down.
----
Splyce was staring down at the bloodied dirt when the lift finally arrived. After he heard the sound of the lift doors sliding open he didn't even bother to open his eyes before stepping inside.
"Oomph!"
Grenorn and Grendel collided, causing both of them to stumble backwards. Splyce instantly began to panic when he got back to his feet and saw the grendel. Smuggy writhed in pain on the floor of the lift, grumbling and whimpering at the stabbing pain shooting throughout his body. Splyce arched a brow as he cautiously approached the grendel. "Grendel hurt..." Smuggy growled through clenched teeth. Splyce realized that the grendel was badly hurt, and therefore much less of a threat to him. Might as well get on it's goodside before I run for it, he thought. "Maybe rest self, grendel...?"
Smuggy opened one eye to look up at the creature he had collided with, it was a grenorn who seemed to smell like a grendel as much as it did norn. "Who... who are you?" He asked the grenorn. Splyce didn't step any closer, but instead kept his distance as he answered Smuggy's question. "My name is Splyce... Who are you, and... and what happened to the other norns?" He gave Smuggy a stern gaze as he watched him struggle to push himself back up. Smuggy cringed and clutched his chest. "I... I Smuggy. The other grendels, they... they attacked this meso."
"And you... helped them?"
"No! No... Smuggy tried to help... Smuggy attacked Beh-Et, Grendel Leader, but was not strong enough... Smuggy... left behind while other grendels search rest of Docking Station."
Splyce wasn't sure whether to feel rage, pity, or sadness, so instead he shrugged, stepped inside the lift and pressed the up button. He stood close to the wall of the lift, not wanting to get too close to the grendel. "Smuggy, you'll help me search for survivors, got it?" Smuggy nodded as the lift stopped in the middle floor and opened it's doors. "You head to the upper level, I'll stay here and check out the incubator pad and around the emphatic vendor. Meet me back at the lift." Splyce said before stepping out of the lift and heading towards the incubator pad, hoping to find a living creature of some sort... any sort. Meanwhile Smuggy pressed the up button and was heading to the upper level.
(BLARG. Kinda longish post, for me... um... yeah. Anyone remember the monkey-like yellowish-beigeish things inside the lifts?) _________________ Not just a future.

Joker woke up with a yelp. He'd fallen asleep? In a panic he checked his gadgets and agents were still there. They hadn't been taken...
He smiled madly as he wandered off towards the lift. The bridge had lots of cool stuff! Maybe he'd find something else to take home?... _________________

"Are you okay?" Sasha asked, concerned. She let go of the ettin. "We don't have much time. You have to get out of here. The rest of the grendels would kill you." She was sure everyone else had left, so she walked out from behind the Emphatic Vendor, seeking a teleporter of some sort. Instead, she saw Splyce. The odd creature was part Grendel, part Norn. She wondered if she could trust him. After all, if the grendels had let him live...

Those entering the Workshop might notice Beh-Et, who was now rocking back and forth in the corner of the room downstairs whilst mumbling to himself. He seemed too out of sorts to notice anybody else present, and only occasionally stopped rocking to look at his now withered hands to check if they'd stopped bleeding yet.
--------------------------
"I don't need your help!" The little norn snapped angrily, though tears were now welling up in his eyes. He was so sick of all this fighting and everything, why did people keep sacrificing themselves for him because he was a child?
He tapped the door to the Norn Terrarium, quickly scampering inside and leaving Cuny to deal with the Grendels. The three scaly beasts had been too busy mock-fighting each other to notice the presence of any Norns until the sound of the door shutting alerted them to Cuny's presence. "Heh, looks like somebody chose the wrong time to wander on out here..." One of them laughed, as all three of them advanced menacingly upon her. They all kept glancing at each other however, as there was only one Norn to go between the three of them and each one of them wanted to enjoy themselves without the other two interfering. _________________ If I'm not here, I'm probably over at...

The Workshop Door opened, despositing Geawes on the other side of it. The first thing he noticed upon his entry was Dana. Frankly, he didn't like her about as much as she didn't like him, so understandably he kept his distance as he hobbled around her.
However, it didn't escape his notice that she seemed to be pondering something. What, he didn't know.
The major thing for him right now was getting to the Garbage Dump. Of course, he still had the Macrobacteria cage with him, but it was down to its last set of pestilence and was going to die soon. After his 'fresher in the Dump, he decided he'd head for the Comms Room to get a new cage.
While he was thinking of this, he pushed the button to summon the elevator to his level. After a few minutes, it arrived.
He knew it wouldn't take very long to go down, so he didn't see any point in hesitating - he pushed the down button and rode to the bottomost level.
Exiting the lift, he looked around, and was relived to see that there was a Garbage Dump on this ship, signified by a large door that looked like something on a submarine. It was round, and had a wheel on the front center.
As he began to hobble towards it, he barely heard someone mumbling. Looking over his shoulder, he saw that it was none other than Beh-Et, now an old grettin.
He couldn't believe his luck. Beh-Et may had been a formidable opponent before, but now he was weak. And, the Contaminated grendel was willing to bet, his immune system was weaker. One good dose of antigens, and his rival would be out of the scene for good.
As he turned to face his foe, it took every once of willpower not to start laughing maniacally. Instead, he merely said this, with a look on his face that would make the bravest of Hardmen shiver with fright:
"Well, well, well.... What have we here?" _________________ TheBlackSoul's Characters

| Cuny heard the door close. Good, the child had obeyed her order, although he hadn't been happy about it. She took a fighting stance as the Grendels approached. "Only three of you? Bring it on!" She pulled her fist back and aimed a heavy punch at the first Grendel's nose. She would only have to hold them back for so long, there were Hardmen and others inside the Norn Terrarium who would be able to help. |

The first Grendel to hurl himself towards Cuny was greeted with her fist, which was planted firmly in his face to shatter his the relatively fragile bones that made up his nose. He bellowed in pain and brought his hands up to his now smashed nose, stepping back for a moment to allow the other two Grendels a chance to take on the feisty female.
One of them moved to grab her arms, the other swinging his heavy fist towards her stomach.
--------------------------
The young norn stumbled through the Norn Terrarium, looking for a place to be alone. The Grendels, the Norns... He felt like he hated them all now, they all reminded him of what he'd had and lost, and all he wanted was to forget about them.
As he took the elevator up, a couple of Hardman Norns caught a whiff of the Grendel smell still lingering on him. Other Norns noticed it, but unlike them the Hardman Norns found that their blood boiled and their spirits burned whenever they sensed the nearby presence of their eternal enemies. "Hey boy! Why d'you stink of Grendel so bad?" "Some of them green sons of bitches lurking about outside?" He chose to ignore them, but they knew that this meant something fun was going on out of the Norn Terrarium and they were missing out.
The two adolescents waited for the youngster to be done with the lift, eager to go and get themselves into a fight.
--------------------------
"Well, well, well.... What have we here?"
Beh-Et didn't need to look to know that the one Grendel he'd never have wanted to meet alone right now had found him. In his current condition he didn't stand a chance against Geawes, and he knew that the Grendel had been looking to usurp his position since the moment he'd laid eyes on him.
This was it. What a shame, he'd started something marvellous, but his role in it was coming to an end already. "I'll not die by your hands, Geawes." Beh-Et said grimly, not wishing to grant such an honour to his would-be assassin. "I have nothing to fear now - Yggdrasil will welcome me with open arms for what I have set in motion!" He turned around, grinning like a madman with blood streaming down from his mouth. With a feeble gurgling laugh, Beh-Et's eyes glazed over and he slumped to the ground, dead.
((For those of you unsure, Beh-Et bit off his own tongue in order to kill himself.)) _________________ If I'm not here, I'm probably over at...

"What nonsense gibberish you speak, Grettin." Geawes responded. But in a few seconds he found why Beh-Et spoke what he considered "gibberish" - bleeding at the mouth, his foe had died.
This dissappointed the Contaminated Grendel quite a bit. He had so wanted to poison the grettin, watch him die slowly and painfully. And here, he just slumped over dead with what Geawes had assumed to be internal bleeding.
Had he known Beh-Et was on the verge of death, he wouldn't had bothered to have payed attention to him. But he didn't, and here he was.
At least one good thing came out of this - although it would take a while for the other grendels to accept the fact, Geawes was now the head honcho.
"Now, a true grendel is in control, not some inferior grettin." he said, spitting out that last word like it was a lemon. Which, to him, was the most vile food in the world. He didn't care that Beh-Et wasn't listening, he needed to get that out.
Glancing at the grettin's corpse, he recalled an old fact that dead bodies contained a good amount of bacteria. Perhaps he should try a piece....
Don't! he told himself. You're not a Corpse Construct, leave the corpse eating to them!
However, he wasn't going to leave the body untouched. Hobbling over, he took hold of the grettin's horn and with several tries and one effort, yanked it off.
"I hear banshee horns are good luck...grettin or not." he said, before carrying his prize off with him through the door of the Garbage Dump.
------
Lunagon had fallen asleep after he had escaped the attention of those vile grendels. Now he awoke, and due to his wandering nature, he decided it was time to hit the road again.
But first - he needed to grab some gadgets.
Man, I feel like an ettin. he thought as he pulled himself to his feet.
To start off, he walked towards the door. The first thing he came across was the Aquatic Population Monitor. That only was meant to work with the aquatic launcher - it was no good on its own.
Speaking of the Aquatic Launcher, due to its effect on doors, that thing was going to be useful. Unfortunately, it was nowhere within sight.
So, down to the second level it was! Calling up the elevator, he descended to the lower level....
....And was met with a bunch of water when it opened.
"Stoobid hand mus'b lefb ba boors open!" he muttered. Going to the nearest door, he discovered that it was indeed open. He closed it.
However, the room remained flooded, and, guessing that the other door was also open, he walked through the middle door - or tried to.
Suddenly, he stubbed his toe on something.
"Dow, dow, dow!" he groaned, slowly hopping up and down while he held the injured foot. Once the pain had subsided, he looked down to see what he'd found.
By some pure stroke of luck, it was the Medical Transporter. An ettin must've drowned down here while carrying it.
Thinking of that reminded him he needed to replenish his own air supply. He grabbed the unexpected prize and carried it downstairs with him.
The lowest floor held the door to the Ettin Terrarium, a good alternative to taking the hallway. Placing the Medical Transporter down by its entrance, and after a few moments of catching his breath, he went back up to find the Aquatic Launcher. _________________ TheBlackSoul's Characters
