I'm not sure how many of you know this, I haven't exactly advertised it to you guys but I am something of a wrestling fan.
Not of WWE, though. There are plenty of other, better promotions out there be they classed as independent or not. But let's face it being better than the current WWE standard isn't exactly very hard...
Ahem, where was I? Oh yeah, NOAH happens to be one of Japans largest wrestling promotions, started by a wrestler named Mitsuharu Misawa after he saw the current company he was working for start going down the pan.
And it's going to have a live show in Coventry in the UK on the 21st of June, the first time that it's ever done a tour outside of Japan, it'll most likely be Kenta Kobashi and Mitsuharu Misawas last match, and I AM GOING TO SEE IT!
It's arguably the second largest wrestling organization in the world, hosting such legendary stars as Mitsuharu Misawa, Kenta Kobashi and the current crop of Pro Wrestling Noah Stars in Kenta, Naomichi Marufuji, Takeshi Morishima, Kotaro Suzuki and many more...
Coupled with the best in the rest of the world The UK's own "Anarchist" Doug Williams, US based brit Nigel McGuiness, The American Dragon Bryan Danielson and the amazing Briscoe Brothers from Ring of Honor. this event will give the authentic Noah hard hitting wrestling experience in the UK for the first time.
Also coming are Go Shizaki, Eddie Edwards and Mohammad Yone.
I should probably mention that Japanese wrestling style is quite different, in that it's partially martial arts and the way they build up the matches is to start off slow then keep 'upping the tempo', so to speak, so it's really hard to find one of NOAHs matches boring.
I know it's a long way away, but I'm excited and I had to tell someone _________________ Baker of the radioactive three-eyed flying purple cookie eating brownies!
