Heads up for an off-topic post, but since warped creatures were being mentioned I wanted to talk about something that happened in a recent game of mine.

I had a bit of a butterfly effect in one of my games the other night, when two of Swix's creatures came into my world. I let them in because they looked pretty cool, but I'd just started a new world and only had baby norns about, and so after leaving them to their own devices for a bit I decided they'd be happier if they hopped on through the warp to some place a little more fun.

They left behind two kids, both males, named Clopse and Crey. Clopse had one child (Dypp), then left my world through the warp, whilst his brother Crey fathered two children (Duvre and Derrik), then followed suit. Dypp and Duvre bailed out of my world pretty quickly, after which I decided that leaving the warp portal open was a bad idea, and was left with Derrik as my only norn descended from Swix-bred norns.

Derrik went on to basically populate my entire world. He had 6 daughters, some of whom he later went on to breed with to conceive some gen 6 grandchildren (all in all, Derrik fathered 11 children). He got as far as gen 7 before I decided that I'd had enough of the inbreeding (as by this stage he was the only male) and decided to release my norns into the wild blue portal.

By the 'end' of it all, my world was only populated by descendants from those original two Swix-norns. Most of them have probably gone on to form families in other people's worlds. I just found it really interesting how two norns could have such a huge impact on my world - if I'd left them going, they probably would have continued to breed and populate the world (Derrik had just turned 'old', but had recently had a male child). Has anybody else ever experienced anything like this?

To 3kul: I'm glad some of the ones that went through had successful mating habits, but I'm real sorry they overpopulated your world Embarassed

. I was debating sending you a message basically saying sorry they all keep pushing the portal (they went crazy over it when I first put it up) and ending up in your world but I'm glad I waited now. Duvre came through into my world, bred then died about half an hour or so later, bacterial infection kept on producing alcohol and killed him before I could stop it. Clopse came through too, but left shortly for someone elses world. And a female called Belue who had twins then left.

Btw, that kind of thing happens to me whenever I leave adults out with babies in the world, the adults pretty much overwhelm the whole population and fill the world with eggs so the ones you want to breed don't. I had it happen with a couple adult ChiChis filling up the world with their eggs, I'd only put them in because I wanted the babies to have Norn teachers as well as me. But that backfired pretty badly
