"The Last-Forever Conspiracy"

Ensichrys was terribly confused. He didn't know what to do about this. He knew he shouldn't have trusted 501. Then again, hadn't this behavior been forced on the machinum avum? What had freed him before? Head trauma, right? Perhaps it was just too risky to leave such a weapon alive. They didn't really need 501 to win this battle, perhaps they were better off just offing him.

Ensichrys lifted his tail; the deadly horn poised to run 501 straight through the head, thus (hopefully) shutting everything down and leaving the goo within vulnerable to attack. Eve needed to be saved somehow. But then... somehow she didn't look like she needed saving. Why? What about that odd electric stream that linked Eve with 501 for a moment? What had she been doing?

Ensichrys' confusion started then to slowly give way. Crawling over him, like a millipede wearing combat boots, came the sneaking suspicion that he'd been duped. Was... Eve... usually... this... ... confident?

Realization hit Ensichrys like a chain mail glove. "Te DAMNO!" Out went his talons and out shot twin jolts of electricity; one aimed at the ion pistol and the other aimed at "Nynaeve's" shoulder.

Hmm... will he shoot or not?

She smiled at him, waiting for his response, when her body noticed something strange in the air.

Crackling. Tense. Energy.

Electricity.

She moved to the side, but she didn't move fast enough. Out of the corner of her eye, she could see one jolt of electricity fly towards the pistol just as its partner made contact on her shoulder.

Her right hand moved to cover the spot when the jolt hit.

"That wasn't very nice," she commented with a pointed look as a soft light appeared from underneath her hand, greatly similar to her healing light.

[Cloud]

"What the hell is going on here?" Cloud exclaimed, "I thought we were to free the captives and not turn on each other." He stepped towards Ensichrys.
"So, what's this about?"

[Fade]

Fade raised a blue eyebrow at the group, she'd chosen a most unfortunate time to return it seemed.

"Indeed" the assassin said, as she nonchalantly dipped both of her arms within her pockets. She did not interfere however, since they had been getting along fine without her before. Or so she'd thought.

[Chronos]

Ensichrys reared his neck back into an S shape. He hissed shortly and clacked his beak in a most frightening fashion. Ensichrys' eyes narrowed as he stood tall and towered over 'Nynaeve'.

"Eve," he grated, "how is it, exactly, that you know electrical spells now? How is it that the electricity had no effect on the goo in 501? Why did he answer your shock with a response to what must have been an unspoken question?"

Ensichrys took a few heavy steps forward, tensing up his talons.

"And why is it, Eve, that your voice can be in two different places at once? You think I know nothing? Just because my ears are not visible does not mean they don't exist." Ensichrys shifted his head feathers, revealing his ear slits. "I heard the real Eve loud and clear!" As he said this, his talons sparked and crackled to life with electricity.

Ensichrys smirked as he leveled an arm at the doppelganger. "Again you are given this advice..." His smile turned into a grimace.

"Run if you want to live." Inwardly, Ensichrys continued to smile. That is, if you think you're faster than electricity...

Nynaeve smirked in response.

"I've always known electrical spells Ensichrys. Just because you've never seen me perform them doesn't mean that I can't cast them."

She glanced over at 501, who was still very still.

"As for him, who knows? Just like who knows whether you heard the real Eve or not. "

Instead of running away, she began walking towards him.

"Why wouldn't it be possible for me to be in two places hmm? How can I not be the real Eve if I know and remember everything that has happened?"

[Chronos]

Ensichrys opened his mouth and hissed balefully. "Who knows," he said incredulously, "Who knows? Is that the best response of which you could think? I know that was the real Eve. I just know it, and everyone else who's been with her should know it too." Ensichrys' eyes narrowed.

"What about the children, blob? Have you forgotten about them after all this? And what about 501? Shouldn't you be trying to help him instead of sending him covert messages and daring him to shoot you?" Ensichrys took another step forward. Now he was dangerously close to her- it? Yes, it. It could probably feel Ensichrys' breaths on its skin.

"As for which one is real? Well we settled this one way the last time. We should probably do it again. If I could get the real Eve to fight you, we would know the truth, but it seems 501 is arresting our progress. In lieu of your counterpart, I think I'll settle this. If anyone is fool enough to try and stop me, you are welcome to make your attempt." He smiled.

"But hurry."

Now this was a defining moment. As Ensichrys raised his savagely sharp taloned arm for his next move, it can be assumed that the ex-knight realized all at once why he had really joined the Evil Council. Only time would tell if the ends would justify his means. Thus, in the meantime, perhaps it was a good choice to simply assume that one was in the wrong the whole time. Doubts, though, doubts lingered on, even after that final move.

Ensichrys, from his close range, thrust his hand- talons gleaming- at the imposter's ribs.

Again, only time would tell if the ends would justify his means. Hopefully, time would be kind.

((What happens is part of the story-line... major appologies for it seeming so powerplay-ish, but it'll all make more sense in the end.))

"What about the children indeed," she replied mysteriously, a cruel smile playing on her lips. She did not flinch at all when the avian came so very close... not at all. If anything, she welcomed it.

And we waited for his attack. No words would be able to reason with him now.

And when the talon pentrated through the skin, through the flesh, her smile widened.

For she welcomed the pain. The pain that would make her stronger.

And she screamed- an unearthly, wailing, high-pitched scream.

A scream that turned into a loud, long, crackling laugh even as she flew backwards and landed on the ground with a thud.

And she continued laughing, even though there was a gaping hole where his talons once were, the silvery-purple interior, the flesh that was not penetrated, swirling and pulsing in a very sickening but almost hypnotic way.

And she continued laughing as a blinding light covered where the hole was.

And she continued laughing as a scream from the cages reached her ears.

"Don't come any closer!" she pleaded.

That evil man...

He was walking towards her.

His hands were out in front of him menancingly.

Long, sharp nails.

Fangs bared.

"Please don't," she whimpered.

He only grinned.

Closer, and closer...

As that woman watched.

Always watching.

Never doing anything...

And he reached out.

His long nails piercing her flesh, just at the ribs.

Eve opened her mouth to scream, writhing in pain.

She pulled her legs to her body, now lying on the ground at this point.

A bright and blinding light flashed, reaching high into the sky.

The scream ended.

The light disappeared.

The wound was completely gone.

"Perfect," Eve hissed with pleasure before standing up, tall and proud. She looked... different. A bit older. A bit more powerful. A bit... more evil.

And it was with this aura that she walked towards him.

"This... body is not Eve's. But these memories that I have, these powers that I have, this... personality... is all hers. The other Eve that you heard... well that is her true body, and her dominant personality of love for others and whole-hearted want to do good. But I am indeed Eve, if only but a part. What shall you do now Ensichrys?"

[Coolpikaaa]

The coolpikaaa clone watched as the original fell on his back and started to writhe.Purple haze floated around his cage, knocked back by the barrier of his prison.

"Hey!! Hey!! Snap out of it!"The clone yelled, banging on the side of his cell.
Thump!
The man with electrical powers had also been pulled under by the smoke.
Thump!
He was basically watching himself die.
Thump!

"NOOOO!" The original screamed out so loud, many of the birds stopped singing right there.Then he was still.

The clone slid down the side of his cage in defeat.

((Dramatic re-entrance!))

Tick...tock...tack...tuck...teck.

An ethereal sound penetrated the air, starting like a heartbeat and then speeding up,

Tick..tock..tack..tuck..teck.

A circle of blinding light appeared, hovering in mid-air. It grew, losing its brightness as it did.

Tick,tock,tack,tuck,teck.

A torrent of colours erupted from the now dim circle, forming into two shapes. A small humanoid feline, and a humanoid canine.

Ticktocktacktuckteck!

The cat shrank down, changing into an ordinary looking grey house-cat. Behind the duo, the portal collapsed, the airy sound slowing down and fading away.

Tick...tock...tack...tuck...teck...

Muan shook his head slowly, a small gash ran down the left side of his face,

~Well that explains a few things, not least the reason you have fur.~ he ran a paw down the gash, wiping away the blood,
~Where are we, anyway?~ Syui looked round,

"I think we're...yeah, I definitely recognise Chronos, Nynaeve...Cloud, I think he was called. I wonder who all these other people are?" The Canii scratched his neck, which had a large burn on it, thoughtfully, ignoring the slight pain which accompanied scratching it. Muan shrugged,

~I'm guessing Chronos and Nynaeve are having an argument, and everone else is simply here to watch. Not even married and already arguing...~ Syui gave a small chuckle,

"They're not engaged Muan...at least they weren't when we left. How long have we been gone?" Muan gave a tiny hiss,

~How should I know? If you've forgotten, I was with you, unfortunately.~ And with this, the two stood impassively watching the events unroll.

[Chronos]

Ensichrys was torn now. What would he do indeed. He heard the real Eve's scream. It was as if this false Eve was simply... transferring the pain to Eve's true body. This was terrible. If he hurt the blob, Eve would be hurt. Could he kill it knowing Eve may also be killed?

More than that, though, this thing looked like Eve and shared all her memories. Would this blob be heartbroken if Ensichrys attacked her? She wasn't when he attacked her the first time...

Ensichrys looked down. Could he really take the chance of killing Nynaeve? A moment passed where he understood everything. Perhaps... perhaps he was truly evil after all. Could he really kill Eve?

Ensichrys looked back at the goo and narrowed his eyes once again.

Yes he could!

Ensichrys emitted his rarely used shriek, bordering on insanity now. A yellow flash passed over his eyes and his talons charged with electricity. They almost overcharged. He yelled.

"There will be Order!" And with that, Ensichrys aimed his full blast at the Nynaeve clone, completing his transcendence of morality and becoming a wild testament to the corruptive power of the Evil Council. Or perhaps, the corruptive powers of... oneself.
