How Harry Met Sally-- err, How Karlos Employed Margarita

Finally Margarita smiled... partly because she struck a good deal, but mostly because Argos officially liked her since he was wagging his tail.

Scooping the dog up into her arms, she told the dog, "You're coming with me!"

Standing up, she addressed Karlos in a matter-of-fact way. "Yes, a margarita is a drink. I will show you how to make one later. Now let's see my new room."

Unusually, Argos didn't sruggle when he was picked up.

Karlos sighed. "Alright... your room's upstairs. Follow me."

He walked up the stairs, conveniently located behind the bar, and up to the second floor. When he reached the landing, he gestured down to the left. "At the end, on the left, is yours-- Number four. Across from mine, Number one-sixty-four."

"The rest are hotel rooms. Remember, if anyone passes out in the bar, drag them to one of these and charge them for the stay."

Margarita followed behind Karlos, stroking Argos fur as she did so.

"Mmm... how 'bout this instead. If a person passes out, I'll call you, and you'll drag 'em up here."

She walked over to her door, placing one hand on the handle.

Margarita flashed him a grin before turning the handle of the door. She pushed the door open to reveal... a pretty normal room.

Four post bed with clean linen sheets.

A cherry oak drawer with a mirror.

An open window.

Blank cream coloured walls.

A small closet.

And enough space for a chair or something.

"Not bad," she commented as she took a step inside, examining the room closer. She gently lowered Argos to the ground.

"Could you get my bag please?" she asked the dog, gesturing vaguely with her hands. Maybe the dog will get it, maybe not, but she wanted to see whether Argos would or not.

Standing back up to face Karlos, she asked, "I get to decorate it any way I want right?"

Argos sat and tilted his head, not understanding Margarita.

"Yeah, sure..." Karlos said "As long as by 'decorate' you don't mean punch holes through walls."

Margarita sighed before placing her hands on her hips.

"I don't even want to know how you decorate your rooms, but I'll certainly'll not do that!"

She examined the room again, spining around so she could see the whole thing.

"Needs a new coat of paint..." she muttered, her voice dwindling slowly as she began to think of how she would make this room hers.

"So when do I begin?"

"Ten minutes." Karlos said, after a moment of thought. He wasn't really used to ordering people around.
