Usable items will be listed in a pull down menu when you create a post, enabling you to specify which item you are using, who is using it, and what their target is. Usable items have a hit % and a break %. If you're lucky, your item use will suceed, if not, it will miss. Either way, there is a chance that your item will break and become unusable. See our wiki article on Items for more information.
Several of the boards are non-RPing boards. Boards like Announcements, General Chat, and Bugs and Features are examples of non-RPing boards. Be sure to explore these too.
We only have a few rules:
1. Respect other people, and treat them as you wish to be treated.
2. Do not argue with the Admins and Mods. They have plenty of work already. If you really have a beef with something, discussing it in a logical and calm manner will get you miles farther than whining.
3. No Powerplaying. This means forcing actions on other people. For more information on Powerplaying and how to avoid it, please refer to "Powerplaying" on our wiki.
If you have any questions during your stay here, you may ask one of the administrators or moderators. You can recognize us by our belts: Gold Dragons on the belt of an Admin, Silver on the belt of a mod.
Should you be unable to contact an Admin or you want your answer quickly, you can always refer to the Blackstar Wiki.
Please also be advised that Blackstar is considered highly addictive and may result in symptoms of insomnia, crankiness, longing for insanity, and general RP itch if you discontinue use. |
If you've any questions, feel free to ask 'em. Other than that, just be sure to leave your sanity in the convienent skull baskets. T'is very much advised.

Who is to say that the three qualities of love, hate and fear are mutually exclusive?

Welcome. I am The Dark Psycho, Head Admin and High Sensei here at the Dojo. As soon as I can, I think I may post in the "New face" RP, but time is restrictive right now. Spent too long on the response to the Catalogue.
Please, enjoy your time - and understand, we get a "Fear me, I have arrived" speech every other week. We have so many crazies in fact that we have a whole organization of them (points to the EC). Something about the world being founded by the God of Insanity leads to that for some reason.

I do not wish to offend anyone do not worry about that. If I do just tell me and I will apologize since I do not want to offend anyone. Also I am not making Zukoron Evil or myself evil just that Zukoron is in some ways a creepy guy when he gets into those moments. Also I only know of one god of madness could we be talking of Sheogorath? if so then oh yeah he is rockin and he can rip out intestins and skip rope with'em until he falls over

Don't worry about the size of blackstar, or about creating new role plays. The thing about them is - they flunk, or they soar!
Everyone here (that I can recall, been awhile since I've been here) is very nice - so if you get into any trouble with things be sure just to ask someone either through PM or in an open thread.
You may see me pop into threads every now and then - very rarely, however. 
I'm part of that 'insane' EC - but really, we're just after world domination and free smut for everyone - come on, that's normal... ain't it?
(Disclaimer: That's really not all the EC wants. I was just summarizing. =/ We're greedy - sorry! xD; )
