the People at DP's place of employment just had a fun little experiment (Engineering floor, to be exact). They all put in a dollar each, and by doing so entered themselves into a competition where they could not refer to themselves in first person (they had to use the third person).

Of course, your local god of Insanity won, making himself a great 600% return on his investment. So, why can't the Dojodians do something like that? Anyone willing to put up 100 Yen

KC11 is ready to put down 100 yen, as soon as she knows where to put it.

3kul thinks that this may be too easy if everybody is just typing, as people will just edit mistakes they make rather than admit them.

Danikat frequently talks about herself in the 3rd person anyway, even in real life where it seems to worry a lot of people (although she doesn't really understand why) so she sees no problem in participating in this event.

However she does also agree with 3kul that it'd be too easy for people to edit their replies if they made a mistake. She doesn't know how this could be prevented without denying people the chance to edit at all though.

KC11 guesses that this doesn't count yet if she hasn't put in the money, so she still talks in the first person in other threads until she knows where she should put the money.

Swix thinks this would be interesting however she wonders just who's Tuesday it would be counted as in terms of timezone.

Danikat finds it amusing that everyone decided to talk in 3rd person in this thread in spite of the fact that it's not a requirement and isn't really achieving anything.

Danikat also thinks either the timeing should be determined by the forums default timezone (which she assumes is whichever one DP is in) or should run from the first moment it's Tuesday anywhere on earth until it's no longer Tuesday anywhere.

Danikat would be wrong. The Board is set to GMT, like most web servers, whereas DP lives in GMT-6 (US Central Time Zone).

Tel'Erusva thinks she does enough roleplaying that this will not be hard... and has enough money for 100 yen. She also thinks she is too honest to cover up a mistake like that.
