The President Of Blackstar

Standing at the top of his shiny lookout tower, 501 leans on the railings precariously, having listened to those around him.

Then the gummies rain over him. Sighing, he kneels down and picks up a Maratix standard-issue umbrella, which, like every other piece of Maratix technology, is black with blue detailing, as well as carrying the familiar logo. He waves away a small swarm of gummy flies. He fights the urge to swipe a hand in the air and catch some to eat, reminding himself he doesn't have anything resembling a digestive tract any more.

After idly listening to the other candidates he suddenly realises something. Wait, what did the fuzzy blue guy say? Money? Profit? Oh, hello, new hook! No, wait, the swirly guy mentioned new scientific discoveries! Ah, which can I counter first? Well, here goes nothing...

He flings his arms in the sky yet again, this time waving them a bit. "People, people, please! You want profit? You want technology? Maratix has been the top of both of these fields for the past sixty years!" Wait, how long HAS Maratix been around anyway? ...Eh, never mind, that'll work.

"This world has no soft cookie dough centre, nor does the shady figure over there have enough gummy confections for you all! Nor does, uh, whoever she is, have never-ending supplies and free entertainment appliances! ...Not too sure about the rock candy moon, though.

"But the point is this! As the representative of Maratix, you aren't just voting me into power, you're opening the door to a level of advancement you would find IMPOSSIBLE to even imagine! The path to a whole new glorious world! No fears of danger, affluent lifestyles for all, and technology so advanced it might as well be magic! ...And, uh, magic so advanced, it might as well be technology!"

He then looks around, to see if anyone is even listening. "Ah, come on!" He sighs. "Fiiine. If you vote for me you'll all get personal teleportation technology that's five times as efficient, ten times as fast and fifty times easier to use than whatever sorry excuse for 'warp technology' you have at the moment! And if you're more inclined to violence, why, you'll get a free ion pistol too, all courtesy of Maratix! Maratix, because the future matters! ...Err, I mean, vote 501 for president of Blackstar!"

A faint ripple of applause arises in the crowd, more of a golf clap than anything else. One of the citizens mutters to another. "I like this guy. It's so adorable. It's like he thinks he has a chance!"

[Kazumaru]

Kazumaru scooped gummy candies into his top hat, before once more plopping it onto his head, occasionally reaching through his hair to grab a gummy candy as he spoke. "You see? Not even the big robot thingy can disprove my rock candy moon! Kazumaru for President! I'll run your society into the ground-- With robotic overlords like the big fellow over there talking about magic!"

Kazumaru munched on a candy. "But not him exactly. Maybe something more..." He looked 501 up and down. "Handsome~ A vote for Kazumaru is a vote for tyranny-- er, robotic overlords... No wait. A vote for Kazumaru is a vote for a vague and ill-defined future, possibly including rock candy!"

[Jent]

That undead girl is hard to please. Oh well, I'll hopefully get her vote later today. As of right now, I have two other pains in the neck to worry about.

Perceiving that the spirit was still speaking gibberish. That may or may not pose a problem depending on the Psychotopians state of mind. But that robot is completely different, except for insulting Psychotopian Technology . Still. He knows that if this corporation catches any sign of weakness from their rivals. They wont waste time to take them down. He has to act fast.

"Listen to me! Why would walk away from your roots just to have their technology? Fallowing that corporation would only send your children to be robots in just generations. You mustn't forget that you were born first to be insane, next is technology. Both Physics and Magic live in Blackstar. One without the other is like eating half a donut. Its essential to prevent them from overriding the other!"

Stretching his legs length to breaking point. He howls out his last words until someone else replies.

"I have already forged a magical machine that unites physics, magic and INSANITY! This device is still in its developing stages, but it will revolutionize your entire lives when its completed! In twenty-four hours, my crew will bring a enormous truck to haul in this fantastic new to-

Suddenly, a sharp crack is heard from his elongated limbs.

"Oh no."

Unable to support his own weight. The stranger hurdles towards a nearby duck pillow. Squawking in all directions, the duck pillow launches his swirly body to a random stand.

[Maraha]

Maraha flung an arm in the air. "UM! Keep me out of this, I'm not a candidate! And how would you know if I didn't have... er, whatever I said I did? Seriously, if you knew me, you'd know that... oh wait, scratch that, I don't have any of that stuff anyway... Bah, forget knowing me, I'm going to go find someplace for a cup of hot chocolate!" She shouted before plowing through the crowd, dragging Triste along with her while simultaniously snatching and eating flying gummy insects. "Triste, where's someplace where I can get a cup of hot chocolate?"

Silence...

"Fine, be that way, you bothersome old ragdoll!"

[addman]

"Alright! Enough! This is getting confusing! As insane as a Blackstar election should be, we should a least try to make a little more coherent. If everyone running for President could sign this electoral sheet, along with a brief description of their manifesto, perhaps people will know what is going on."

Dumping a large quantity of paper on the back of a nearby grunt (making him grunt with the weight, ironically), Addman stuck a pen in the abused worker's mouth for the candidates to use and stood back to allow them to sign.

[Kazumaru]

Kazumaru shrugged and grabbed the pen from the worker's mouth, before roughly signing his name and constructing a smilie face out of repitions of the words "War", "Poverty", and "Tyranny" as his manifesto.

[Cirrial]

501 makes his way to the overworked grunt and takes out an inexplicably concealed stamp, with the Maratix insignia protruding out. It begins to glow blue.

"Oh, wait, this is a brand." Looking shiftily around, he stamps it onto the grunt's back quickly. He then takes the pen and scribbles down.

Life getting you down? Riots breaking out all over the place? Lack of cool gadgetry making you feel your very existance is without major value or purpose or drive?

Vote Maratix. Because if we don't have all the answers, 'We Still Have More Answers Than You'.

Together, Maratix can make this world a better place, a safer place, and more importantly, a richer place.

[KC11]

KC11 grinned. She reached into her pocket and pulled out a blue banana. She ate it quickly, closed her eyes, and hummed.

Moments later, a pen hovered in the air where KC had been moments before. The pen came up to the overworked grunt and signed this:

Are you tired of rubbing the feet of your leaders, catering to their every whim?

Kinda gets you down, doesn't it?

Vote for KC.... Kyra. Because she wouldn't make you bow. And she did NOT attack KC8! SHE NEVER DID! THAT WAS KC11!

Scrounging in the unmistakeable ruble of the "Cheese Around the World" stand. Entire body aching from the impact. Balancing his weight on a thick swiss cheese block. The stranger ponders about the current situation.

This is the last time I leave my elevator stilts outside in the rain for a month.

"-If everyone running for President could sign this electoral sheet, along with a brief description of their manifesto, perhaps people will know what is going on."

Finally Addman said something worth hearing.

Taking of his stilts, the stranger staggers towards pen grunt. Snatching the pen from his mouth in haste to write down his manifesto.

Manifesto: Fountain of Pocky In Honor of The Dark Psycho, New Scientific Discoveries, Increased Life Insurance, Tax Refunds a week before Chan Day, More insane weather, free "Good Job Sport" cookies shaped as the other candidates for everyone, Vacation Resorts and Homes in the North/South, tomato and potato fight after the election, forcing Douglas to live in Psychotopia for all to beat up, a new free fire pet to first undead to walk up to me after the election, and a magical machine that will reinvent this city to a shining level.

After Trace had finished putting his pen to paper, Addman quickly whipped the sheet away and handed it to his chief propaganda advisor to go and dig up some dirt on the other candidates. The advisor tilted his shades in acknowledgment, and promptly turned on his heels to get to work.

"Don't worry" reassured the puppet to the other candidates "He's just going to make sure it's safe and secure".

Pulling out a large calendar with pictures of Addman in a variety rather fancy presidential hats, he takes out a giant red marker and holds it up to March the 1st.

"I say we hold our election on March the 1st. That will give us the time we need to campaign all around the Dojo and drum up support for ourselves. Agreed?"

[Kazumaru]

Kazumaru swallowed a candy. "I say we use electronic voting machines."

After a short pause to eat another candy, he continued. "Provided by me."
