((Salvaged from Gameware, in case their RP section does not return.
For those of you who haven't seen this RP, it's set inside the C3 Arc and the DS. To repeat myself in the original post, you can play as 1-2 characters, though they all must be real breeds from the games (splicings and strange mutations are okay). No making up crazy new breeds though .
It is probably necessary to read all of these posts to at least get a feel for the story, but don't worry, there's really not that many (less than 40).))

A Creatures RP
((Because if there's one thing I'd have to be able to get people to actually RP about around here, it's got to be Creatures.
Rules are:
1. Be whatever you like, as long as it exists in the Creatures games.
2. You're welcome to restrict yourself to creaturespeak (ie: eem push toy, etn get gadget, grah hit norn, etc.), but you don't have to if you don't want to.
3. No spam or stupid posts! This is meant to be a proper RP, so let's try and keep it that way. I'll give people one warning if I don't like what I see, and if they continue then I'll be reporting them.
4. Off-topic posts are okay, so long as it relates to the RP.
There's no real storyline going as of yet (I'll only be starting something vague), but hopefully once a few more people join in it might evolve a little
Finally, my character:
Name: Beh-Et
Species: Grettin - Banshee Grendel/Ettin splicing
Age: Adult
Appearance: All Banshee features, aside from Ettin legs and no tail. He usually moves about on all fours due to a necessary mutation (as his lack of tail would otherwise cripple his sense of balance).
Personality: Aggressive expansionist, Beh-Et wishes to see the grendels take as much territory as they can. Though his legs are weaker than the average grendel, he doesn't see it as a weakness, as it fits in perfectly with his 'never run away' attitude. He is most comfortable moving on all fours, but despite his unusual physique perfectly capable of unleashing a savage beating upon any creature that gives him a reason too. A skilled brawler, Beh-Et has killed many times in his life and he's not afraid to continue doing so - in his opinion 'kill or be killed' is the Grendel way of life. He's not terribly fond of Norns or Ettins, seeing himself as a Grendel despite his obvious Ettin heritage.))
Beh-Et looked at the Grendels gathered around him, disappointed with the small turnout. This was the force that would join him in their glorious campaign capturing the Arc? With such small numbers he'd have to be much more cautious with what they attempted, but it was ultimately of little concern - once things began to go their way, others would join.
"Alright, here's how we'll be doing this thing." He began, drawing in the mud of the jungle floor with a stick. "We'll start with the Meso in the Docking Station. It's no Norn Terrarium, but it's important territory anyway - it has a number of food dispensers and an incubator, along with plenty of edible plants."
They knew this for a fact as they'd beaten this information out of a young Norn just the other week.
"Now, it's only a short run from here to the Docking Station teleporter, but we'll move quickly and quietly all the same. No need to attract unwanted attention or get involved in any unecessary fights." He drew a basic map of the Bridge, along with the directions to the Docking Station. Once you get there, follow your nose - the place smells a bit like Norn Home, along with Food, Fruit, Seeds and undoubtedly Norns."
He venomously spat the last word, as Beh-Et hated Norns more than any other creature aboard the Arc. Lazy buggers wouldn't last two minutes living in the harsh conditions that he and the other grendels here did, and yet they had the nerve to confine them here like prisoners. Those few Grendels who did try to make their way to Norn-controlled territory were usually greeted with sludge guns - the lucky ones were chased away and left with a few broken bones, the unlucky ones were simply never seen again.
"Once we reach the Meso, we kill everybody inside. Don't bother chasing them if they escape, our top priority is securing that place against any support they might have. I'd rather have nobody escape, but given our numbers that's probably wishful thinking."
After giving his fellow Grendels a few moments to soak all of this in, he smeared the mud drawings away. "Last chance to back out if you're chicken, but I'll be leading the charge with or without you there." He snarled at them all, seeking to remind them who was in charge here as well as weed out the weaklings.
((EDIT: If you wish, you can be one of the Grendels that Beh-Et is talking to, though you don't have to (you're just as welcome to oppose him ). If nobody chooses to be them, they'll simply be treated as NPCs.
Keep in mind that Beh-Et is considerably biased in his opinions - not all Norns are opposed to Grendels and not all Grendels are opposed to Norns ))
Norn-mania 28-01-2008 12:20 AM
((LOL, I'll join in. Don't expect a great post this late at night though.))
Dehnel growled at the suggestion of cowardice. He flexed his extremely muscled left arm. He was a Banshee grendel, although his slightly darker then normal colouration suggested Dusky heritage. His right arm could not boast the same muscles as the left. He held it loosely by his side.
After being wounded while raiding the Norn Terrarium he had focussed his attention on his left arm. While his right arm had never recovered his left was now stronger then the average grendels right.
Dehnel grunted at there leader.
"Don't seek to scare us, Beh-Et." He snarled. "We all want the same thing, and we're all capable of getting it. Well," He spat glaring at a particularly small young grendel. "Most of us."
He quickly surveyed the rest of the group. They were a sorry sort. The Grendel's has suffered a lot since leaving Albia.
"I will be the first one in." He volunteered, shaking a necklace made of Norns skulls. Most of them were badly fractured. "It's important to kill as many as possible in the initial surprise. After that they will try to flee. The more that are able to, the higher chance that the rest of the norn will be alerted." Many of the Grendels looked confused by his dialect. He silently cursed that they were so inferior to his kind. Why the Shee had been able to create his ancestors he didn't know. The Banshee were obviously superior engineers.
He turned his gaze back to Beh-Et. Daring him to argue. In the back of his head he questioned how wise it would be to do this. After all, Beh-Et was the one in charge, and he was in that position for a reason.
((Ugh, bad character. I didn't really put much thought into him. Sorry. :p I'll see if I can develop him a bit.))
3kul 28-01-2008 01:03 AM
"You're still carrying those things around, Dehnel? They make you smell like a damn Norn." Beh-Et snarled, his alpha male instincts clashing with Dehnel's boldness, though there was also a hint of disgust in his voice.
Had he known less about this particular Grendel he would have gone on to mock the very notion of a one-armed cripple leading the assault, but from what Beh-Et had seen and heard Dehnel was a Grendel who's lust for killing Norns knew no bounds - the sick little necklace draped around his massive neck was a testiment to that fact. This was a Grendel who's support he couldn't afford to lose, not when their numbers were so few already.
"It's the first assault of many, so I don't care who goes first as long as they don't die straight away. You lead the assault, I'll clean up after you. Try not to make too much of a mess."
A few of the other grendels about them chuckled at this, already imagining the Meso littered with Norn corpses. Beh-Et however was secretly hoping that there might be a couple of Hardman Norns in the Meso that could finish the damn cripple off.
Realistically speaking though that was pretty unlikely. The Meso was quite small, and Creatures found themselves crowded if they expanded too quickly - to the easily angered Hardman Norns, a spacious place like the Norn Terrarium was a far safer choice for a home (at they risked decimating their own numbers in cramped spaces). Even on the off-chance that they did encounter Hardmans, they'd probably be too few in numbers to so much as slow down a monster like Dehnel anyway.
flowerbunny 28-01-2008 02:24 AM
((Can we have more than one character? I'm going to start with one and if it's okay I'll probably bring in a few more))
Name: Cunarmee (Cuny for short)
Gender: Female
Species: Grettinorn
Breed: C1 grendel, C2 ettin, and Zebra Norn splice
Age: Adult
Physical Description: Cunarmee has a C1 grendel body, C2 ettin tail and legs, a Zebra Norn head, and mutated Moon Light Norn arms.
Personality: Cuny is very shy about her appearence and she recently survived a short journey into a torture world. She is very kind and understanding to creatures of all breeds and from all games, but she spends most of her time hiding in the shadows.
Cuny sat in the Norn Meso, watching a tuba plant as its seeds flew up and away. She caught one and ate it, not feeling particularly hungry, but trying to think things over. She watched the other seed sprout and begin to grow. She hoped that this place was more peaceful then the last world she had been to. Granted, she was a bit of an outcast, but she didn't mind that. She wasn't worried about anything, really - so why was she so worried? She felt sure that nothing could happen to disturb her. The Grendels didn't bother her particularly, as she knew that her mixed scent (a mix of Grendel and Ettin, with only a hint of norn scent), though the other norns disliked it, would calm them. The Ettins merely went about their own agenda, gathering up gadgets to take to their homes. She pushed the elevator call button and rode it down to the Emphatic Vendor. She instinctively sat down facing the door, nibbling slowly at a Yarn Fruit.
3kul 28-01-2008 02:42 AM
((Well... It depends. I'd like to limit extra characters so that we don't get people saying things like "I'm RPing as a horde of Ettins!", but I understand that some people do like to roleplay as multiple characters.
For now, I'll say that the limit is a maximum of two live characters per roleplayer (if your character dies, they no longer count towards this number). That way if a lot of people get into this it won't be too confusing, and we won't have some ridiculously huge amount of characters.
If this turns out to be a not-so-popular roleplay though and we only get a few people roleplaying, then we can bump that number up a bit to make things more interesting.
You are, of course, welcome to add NPCs to the story, but understand that NPCs may be controlled by anybody, not just you.
For those of you who don't understand the difference between NPCs (non-player characters) and characters, I'll quickly explain:
If I was to bring Beh-Et and an NPC Grendel to the Meso, flowerbunny could do anything to the Grendel in any way and post it's reaction (eg: "leaping to a baby norn's defense, Cuny wrestles the Grendel off the edge of the top floor of the Meso. It falls head first, lands with a dull thud, and doesn't get back up."), whereas if she wished to attack Beh-Et, she'd have to post her intentions and wait for my reaction (eg: "leaping to a baby norn's defense, Cuny attempts to wrestle Beh-Et off the edge of the top floor of the Meso.").
Naturally I don't wish for my character to fall to his death, but if flowerbunny roleplays in a reasonable manner then I am expected to do the same.))
flowerbunny 28-01-2008 03:27 AM
((Okay.))
Name: Sasha
Species: Twilight Beast Grendel
Gender: Female
Age: Adolescent
Appearance: Small, even for an adolescent Grendel. She's not good in hand-to-hand combat, but instead focuses on sneak attacks and other underhand methods of fighting.
Special Qualities: She has a quirk in her genome that allows her to get some nutrients when she breathes, the bare minimum that is necessary for her to live, but she still hits creatures to get more. The angry expression on her face is constantly there, but it flickers into a sad, scared, or guilty expression for a few seconds every now and then.
Personality: Sasha is one of the few grendels with a conscience. She hits creatures to get nutrients, but she feels guilty if she kills it. She doesn't like the war, but fear of Beh-Et and the other, stronger grendels keeps her going. She merely wants to live in peace, even if it means constant hunger, but it doesn't seem that she'll get it any time soon.
Sasha cowered under Dehnel's gaze, thankful when he moved his eyes away to stare at Beh-Et. It was true, she was small, but she was one of the few grendels who wasn't wounded by sludge guns in some way.
TheBlackSoul 28-01-2008 06:20 AM
Name: Lunagon
Species: Norn - Bengal/Delft cross.
Age: Adolescent
Appearance: Lunagon is a typical Bengal, in terms of appearance.
Special Traits: Because of his Delft heritage, Lunagon is more fragile than a normal norn, thus it takes less to kill him.
Personality: In a nutshell, Lunagon is a non-talkative loner. In fights, his goal is to make it out alive, not to win. If he has a personal problem, he'll attempt to deal with it himself (and often failing at it).
-----------------
Lunagon lie on the grass, staring up at the clouds as they rolled across the Norn Terrarium's "sky". Today, he was in an unusually good mood.
Grazers carried on their day-to-day business, keeping their distance from the Bengal, lest he make an attempt to attack.
Every now and then, a gosh-hawk swooped down, attempting to snare one of the pig-like animals, but usually the attempt was not successful.
Other then this, it was actually quite peaceful. Which worked for the bengal, he could use a break from his usual wanderings.
Leporidae 28-01-2008 07:02 AM
Characters I will use:
Name: Swift
Species: Butterfly/Flora/Gargoyle crossbreed (Though his Gargoyle hertiage only exists in his personality a genetics)
Age: Adult
Appearance:
He has a frail body, but can fly if he so wishes (This ability is limited, however)
Personality: While he is anything but a alpha norn, he sure acts like it. He likes to be in charge and often likes to take the role as a leader. He often seeks out for a good kisspoping with female norns, though he has more ettin friends then norns. He considers his home to be the meso, but he travels freely through all of the ship. He enjoys flowers, much like his ancestors, but prefers critters to food/fruit/seeds.
Name: Dar'al
Species: Grenorn, with Dusky/Vampyre/Maraquan/Gargoyle heritage
Age: Adult
Appearance:
While his arms and legs are strong, his body can't take as much hits as a normal Grendel. Much like Swift, he can fly, but it's limited. He can breathe underwater longer, but can't stay in water for too long
Personality: Creepy, insane, and a complete maniac. His creation was a result of three grendels attacking a norn near the splicer. He hates fruit, and instead hits ettins/norns for a supply of protein. He sees himself as a grendel, and often tries to hide his norn smell by rubbing into the various plants and animals that wander the grendel jungle.
I'll post as soon as I can get some of my creative juices flowing

((ooh, a creatures RP. I remember those, a long time ago. I might join later...))
Norn-mania 05-02-2008 04:40 PM
Dehnel openly laughed at Beh-Et.
"They make me smell like a dead norn. Therefore, a good norn." He pulled a sick grin. "What do we know about Hardman's in the area?" Dehnel enjoyed hunting Norns brutally, even if it might compromise the hunt. But he still liked to have all the information he could gather on his prey.
3kul 05-02-2008 10:11 PM
"I don't think it's very likely..." Beh-Et began, putting his disgust with Dehnel's habits to one side to address what was no doubt a chief concern of all present. "But we'd be stupid to rule it out entirely. If you spot a Hardman, alert the rest of us." He looked around the room, his gaze falling upon several younger grendels, including Sasha. "Some of you don't look like you could even go a single round in a fight with a Hardman, but you've always got strength in numbers."
He wasn't terribly confident with this, and was sure that they'd lose at least a few Grendels if there were more than just a couple of Hardmans, but it was better to give them false hope than none at all. At the very least, Beh-Et was confident that there were more Grendels here than there would be Hardmans, so there really wasn't an awful lot to be afraid of.
"Any more concerns I need to address, or can we get this assault underway?"
Norn-mania 05-02-2008 10:35 PM
Dehnel sensed he was slowly getting to their leader. He grinned to himself.
He turned to face the rest of the Grendel's and let out a deep throaty growl.
"Are you ready to bathe in your enemies blood?" He growled. He grinned at a mostly enthusiastic surprise.
"You sick animals," he laughed normally "That won't get you clean!" He rummaged around in a small cloth he had dangling around his necklace. He withdrew a small syringe out of it. "Neither will this stuff," he laughed, "But it will help you fight better!" He tapped the syringe and then plunged it into his arm, releasing the clear fluid into his veins.
"Want one?" He asked turning to face Beh-Et. "It'll drive you to fight like you've never fought before. And believe me, you'll need it." He sneered. He hoped that he'd take it, he mightn't like Beh-Et much, but he hated the idea of a norn taking out a Grendel leader.
3kul 06-02-2008 12:43 AM
((Hey kids, say no to drugs ))
"I'd rather not suckle at the teat of some Shee like yourself. All I need to fight is what Yggsdrasil gave me."
Beh-Et was a firm believer in the popular notion that the Grendel Mother Yggsdrasil was the original creator of the Grendels (rather than the Shee), and that She was a kind of mystical being that watched over Her fierce and powerful children. Consequently, he hated the Shee, and to a certain extent the Banshee, for taking credit for Her work. He was considered to be an extremist for such beliefs though, as most Grendels who believed in Yggsdrasil at least saw the Banshee as Her agents.
It was because of the strength of his beliefs though, both in that he had the Grendel Mother's divine protection and his own superiority as a Grendel, that Beh-Et was fully confident in his own power. It wasn't the kind of thing that everybody had, so he figured that most Grendels present would be going for Dehnel's drug, though he made a mental note to carefully watch for any Grendels who didn't accept the elixer.
"Now enough of this chit-chat. Let's move!" Once again feeling the need to display some alpha male dominance, he ordered the group to move out. If Dehnel wanted to take the front position he'd need to get going, for Beh-Et was moving at a deliberately quick pace.
TheBlackSoul 06-02-2008 11:44 AM
Name: Geawes
Species: Contaminated Grendel
Age: Adult
Appearance: A dark green banshee grendel with the head and legs of a C3 grendel. Like all of his species, he has a natural and permanent limp, which makes him slow. He's usually playing host to a bunch of macrobacteria.
Special Qualities: Geawes is a typical Contaminated grendel, and therefore, does not eat. Instead, all of his nutrition is derived from being infected with toxins, although he will occansionally eat some detritus. Cures-especially Medicine One-will either kill him or deal him a lot of damage.
Personality: Geawes rarely says much, but he is constantly scheming. While he normally won't kill a norn or ettin directly, he takes great pleasure in infecting populations with illness-especially glycotoxin. He isn't afraid to stab backs if it suits him.
----------------
Geawes had been standing away from the main group of grendels even while the meeting was underway, and made no move to approach the group when the syringe was produced.
In addition to the very visible macrobacteria swarming over him, he also was covered with a nice batch of the normal, invisible variety of bacteria. To him, Dehnel's drug was useless-who needed physical strength with all these biological weapons?
"Enough of this chit-chat. Let's move!" Beh-Et suddenly barked, and he walked off with a fast pace.
Geawes's face twisted into a snarl as he grabbed a macrobacterial cage sitting next to him and hobbled off after the grettin.
"One of these days, Beh. One of these days..." he whispered to himself.
Norn-mania 06-02-2008 06:51 PM
Dehnel snorted at Beh-Et. He hated religion, although he wasn't going to immediately dismiss it. If Yggsdrasil did exist the Banshee had probably created Her. He handed the rest of the bag of syringes to a young Grendel he had taken a recent liking to.
"Offer them to the others and return any leftovers to me." He grunted and jogged after Beh-et.
flowerbunny 07-02-2008 03:35 AM
Sasha looked with interest at the little bag of syringes as it was passed from hand to hand, but when it reached her she hesitated. She knew that they would help her when it came to the fight, but also that Beh-Et and Dehnel were both going for leadership. If Beh-Et was killed and Dehnel stepped in to the leadership, she would be viewed with suspicion. If, however, Beh-Et survived, she would more than likely be viewed with favor. Besides, she wasn't planning on participating too actively in the fight. She went for loyalty to Beh-Et. Turning to the last few young grendels impatiently waiting their turns, she handed over the bag without taking a syringe. She marched doggedly on, doing her best to keep up with the quick pace of the older grendels.
Norn-mania 07-02-2008 09:36 PM
Dehnel glanced over his shoulder. He was filled with disgust to see so many of the grendel's turn away the drug. It wouldn't harm the in anyway. He sighed, the Banshees hadn't altered their bodies after creation, they had only given them something to hone their greatest attribute. Anger. A furious grendel could rip through many hardman's even after sustaining injury. Another without the same drive would feel his wounds much earlier. Of course any grendel going into a fight would be angry, it just depended how angry.
He spoke to Beh-Et without facing him.
"It seems you have some loyal followers in the group. Quite a feet for a Grendel." He paused as if to think. "Much more common among norns actually. I've seen groups of norns fight beside their leader even though they know they're going to die. Loyalty is a pathetic drive." He continued his fast pace. Even though he was a Banshee he was starting to feel the effects of jogging up with Beh-Et. He wondered if either of them were going to fight at their highest ability.
3kul 07-02-2008 10:47 PM
"Norn loyalty and Grendel loyalty are two entirely different things, Dehnel." Beh-Et explained, then hesitated a moment as he thought he spotted a strange Grendel hobbling after them. He couldn't quite make out who it was in the crowd, but noticing Dehnel almost getting ahead of him and not wanting to give the lead position the Grendel he ignored it.
Beh-Et slammed his hand onto the door leading out of the Jungle Terrarium, allowing the group to enter the Bridge to find the Docking Station teleporter. "Norns band together for necessity, out of false hope that under a strong leader they'll beat impossible odds." He continued, speaking as if he, like Dehnel, had experienced this first hand, though unlike Dehnel he didn't elaborate much further than that. "For Grendels, the only loyalty we should have is to our race. Individuals shouldn't matter, but to the young and foolish they do." He, like Dehnel, had noticed that a number of the Grendels following them had turned down his drugs. It was interesting to see, but he wasn't sure if they were doing it for the right reasons.
"Let the strong lead, expand our territory, then breed and repeat. Grendels are the superior race and deserve to live as such, that's all there is to it."
He spoke of such domination as though it were nothing at all, a natural conclusion to the world as he knew it. Perhaps this was what made him more popular with some of the younger Grendels, that unlike Grendels like Dehnel he was fighting for a cause. Or perhaps not, he didn't really understand the young folk.
The pace slowed down as they drew close to the lifts. Beh-Et had been moving on all fours the entire way, so despite his brisk pace he wasn't too exhausted. "Four in the first lift, then two at a time. We're going to the Docking Station teleporter - no stopping on any other floor!" He ordered the group. This part was very important. Lifts were terribly cramped places, but the plan would be ruined if they went one at a time and encountered resistance below. Four in the first lift would take care of any opposition down below, and then the rest could come down at a more comfortable pace.
Stepping into the lift, Beh-Et allowed the next three grendels to hop in with him and then hit the 'down' button.
((I'd assume that one of these is going to be Dehnel, but the other two spots are free for anybody if you want to be right up the front for the assault ))
Norn-mania 07-02-2008 10:53 PM
Dehnel stuck his hand out of the lift to stop it going down.
"Hold on, this is the kind of behaviour that is going to get us killed. We need the most dangerous to go first." He gazed at the Contaminated Grendel in the group. One of his eyebrows raised.
"You there, Grendel." Then thinking about how vague the order was, he elaborated more. "With the bacteria all over you. Who and what are you?" He wondered how furious Beh-Et would be about this. However, he was doing this for the group. Not to anger Beh-Et. He tossed him a look over his shoulder that he hoped signalled this.
Yamatano 08-02-2008 12:27 AM
((Mind if I join? :whappy:
Name: Dana
Species: Banshee/Demon Grendel mix
Age: Adult
Appearance: Dana looks like a Banshee for the most part, however she turned purple once she reached adolescence attesting to her Demon heritage. At Adult stage, she gained a much darker shade of purple that makes her stand out in a crowd. Danas tough skin is covered in scars from various fights with every creature that decided to cross her.
Personality: Dana is quite vicious in personality as well as anything else, picking fights with those she disagrees with. She's very much the 'you lost, therefore you're weak' type, but unsuited to leadership because she tends to go berserk when she's angry thanks to the Demon and Banshee genetics rather than using her brain. Many a wandering Ettin has been found mauled horrifically near Dana because of this tendency.))
Dana had mostly kept quiet, save for the occasional grunt and cheer during the current leaders 'motivational speech'. The mostly Banshee Grendel had sneered at the syringes that had been passed around, not because of any feeling of loyalty but because she didn't consider it necessary to exacerbate her anger problems. Then came the run to the lift, causing Danas powerful Banshee legs to ache but she wasn't about to admit this or use it as an excuse to get out of this. Truth be told, she was looking forward to mauling more than just those pathetic tech hoarders.
As such, she was quick to be one of the two to hop into the lift after Beh-Et and Dehnel.
3kul 08-02-2008 02:03 AM
((No problem Swix, glad to have you join ))
"You're certainly singing a different tune to what you were just a few minutes ago, Dehnel... Scared much?" Beh-Et was not at all angry at Dehnel, more amused. Putting his last comment in this kind of light would make him seem far more cowardly and pathetic. "Don't worry, I'm sure Dana here will comfort you." He spoke as though he knew her, though he didn't really... Well, not on a personal level anyway. When a Grendel thought of norns being killed, they'd usually think of Dehnel, but when they thought of ettins being killed, Dana's name instantly came to mind. Beh-Et didn't have such notoriety despite the fact that he too had killed his fair share of creatures, as truth be told it was damn hard for a Grendel to build up a decent reputation when you had to compete with bloodthirsty lunatics like these two.
He suddenly noticed the Contaminated Grendel as Dehnel began talking to him, and was more than just a little surprised. Why did they have this walking disease along with them? Sure, most Grendels had boosted immune systems thanks to living in a dangerous place like the Jungle Terrarium, but this was ridiculous. Spending just a couple of minutes in the elevator would be more than enough for them all to get infected with Yggsdrasil knows what, though he couldn't admit concern for this as he'd risk looking just as weak as Dehnel.
Fortunately for Beh-Et, he had a pretty good head on his shoulders and a smart tongue, so he was able to come up with a quick counter-measure. "A teenager could handle whatever we encounter down by the teleporter, assuming that we even encounter anything at all, and I'll prove it to you. You there, girl!" He shouted to the young Sasha, having spotted her a few times in the crowd by now. He'd also noticed her pass up the syringes, which made him feel confident that she'd follow his order, or at least have a bit of faith in him. "Get in. You'll be first off the lift."
((Now all it comes down to is who replies first...))
flowerbunny 08-02-2008 08:32 AM
Sasha hurried to the front, determined not to show any fear despite the sneers of many of the grendels she passed. "Yes, sir." She stepped into the elevator. |
((I'll be trying to encourage the current participants to come continue this on Blackstar, but if nobody shows any interest in continuing this story here then I'll simply close it up and hope that the GW Creatures RP section comes back.)) _________________ If I'm not here, I'm probably over at...

((Alright, flowerbunny, Leporidae, Norn-Mania, TheBlackSoul and Yamatano have all been sent PMs over on Gameware (though half of you will probably find this thread first ). Now, to post!))
"Good." Beh-Et replied to Sasha, pleased to see how quick she was to obey his command. He got a good feeling from this kid, she seemed like she could be a loyal minion, and he felt that it would be worth his while to keep a watchful eye on her. At the very least, she's a much more trustworthy Grendel than any other on this elevator, he thought to himself.
The second Sasha got onto the elevator he hit the down button ((as posted earlier, Beh-Et would only let 4 grendels including himself into the first elevator)), and the doors nearly clipped her tail as they closed. With a grinding of gears and a groaning of metal, the elevator lowered itself down into the deeper parts of the Bridge, where the Grendels knew that the Docking Station teleporter was.
They had a couple of minutes to wait before they hit the bottom, and though Beh-Et would've preferred they spend those minutes in silence he seriously doubted that he'd get his wish.
((The elevator ride is over once I know that I've got Swix (Yamatano), visagepoissons (Norn-Mania) and flowerbunny in the lift with me. If none of them are interested in continuing this here I'm kinda screwed, but I hope that's not the case
If you want to be in any other part of the ship (so in other words, you'd be a norn or an ettin), you're welcome to post, though keep in mind that nobody knows about this assault aside from perhaps some other grendels. If you want to be a grendel you'd either be in the group waiting at the top of the bridge with little to do or a grendel who's not involved in this assault at all.
Please remember that this is a standard C3 Arc and DS ship, we're not on the Norn Gardens moon at all. Whether that's a permanent thing or not I guess we'll find with time.)) _________________ If I'm not here, I'm probably over at...

Dehnel was furious at Beh-et. Not only was he a weaker grendel, but his mind obviously wasn't up to scratch. He was furious that such grendels had been his ancestors. He was just pretty damn furious at this point. He clenched his left fist tight causing muscles to stand out even more then before on his left arm.
It took every ounce of self control Dehnel had for him not to fling himself at Beh-Et and beat him to death let alone not yell at him. But somehow he managed. Instead, he contented himself with glaring angrily at Sasha. _________________ Putteh! |

(Oh, this looks like fun. Mind if I join?)
My characters:
Name: Smuggy
Species: C3 Grendel
Age: Adult
Appearance: He looks like the average C3 Grendel, yet with less scars and a happier face than one would expect from a grendel.
Personality: Others may know him as the lovey-dovey wussy who'd rather kisspop a norn than kill it. He certainly is a strange one, for a grendel.
Name: Splyce (Oh such an original name )
Species: C3 Grendel/Hardman splice
Age: Youth
Appearance: Hardman head and torso, but the rest was C3 Grendel. He always seemed to have a really angry look on his face, and was riddled with scars from previous fights with other norns.
Personality: Almost always irritable, due to genetics. His grendel half wants to kill his norn half, and vice versa, so sometimes he may suddenly attack himself, which would obviously look strange to the other norns. There used to be a kind Magma female who would stop him from hurting himself (and others), but he accidently killed her in a fit of rage, which still pains him to this day.
----
Smuggy was listening in on Beh-et's plotting while sitting further away munching on a mushroom. He disliked the idea of killing the other creatures, but wouldn't dare speak against the others. When he was offered a syringe, he refused, and never said a word. After the run to the lifts he felt a bit tired, and he almost considered retreating to the Norn meso, but he felt he had to protect the innocent norns inhabiting the Docking Station. He struggled to push his way through the group, hoping to be one of the two to go down the lift next.
-
Splyce sat alone against a bramboo plant in the jungle half of the Meso, swatting any unfortunate pests that buzzed past him. He looked up at the bramboo berries and, after a few moments of thought, reached up and plucked the nearest one. He studied the pawful of purple berries in his hand, checking for bugs or leaves, and when he was sure it was clean he popped them into his mouth one-by-one. He really took his time eating them, and savored the sweet juices that stained his mouth purple. Once there were none left, he crossed his arms and tried to get some sleep. _________________ Not just a future.

"I am Geawes, the strongest of the Contami-" began Geawes, but was interrupted by four grendels stepping into the elevator, and going down.
Sure, don't pay attention to me, he thought angrily.
At the very least though, he was confident that he was one of the most, if not the, most dangerous grendels present. But he had to go down all alone-if he tried to go down with a bunch of others, the bacteria swarming all over him would make them sick.
Surely, you don't want to infect your future subjects now, do you? hissed some voice in the back of his head.
Patiently, he sat down, awaiting to be next in line for the elevator. _________________ TheBlackSoul's Characters

((0_o I'm kinda frightened by your character at the moment. I can't wait to see what he's got planned! We'll have to wait for flowerbunny though.)) _________________ Putteh!

((Mind if I join in? I'm kinda rusty but it looks fun and I might actully get back into form when it comes to RPing.))
Name: Joker
Species: C3 Ettin/Harliquin/Fallow
Age: Youth
Appearance: Ettin arms, harliquin body and tail with fallow head and legs. Always grins like he knows something everybody else doesn't, and has a few scars on his body.
Personality: Joker is a loner and a hoarder of agents, gadets and anything he likes the look of. Being the nutcase he is, he's taken a liking to the ettin home and stores all his stuff at his small hideaway. Doesn't really take much notice of the world around him unless it has food or something shiney he can take. _________________

Sasha did her best not to quail under Dehnel's fierce gaze. She stared levelly back, hoping the elevator ride would not last too long.

((No problem, now we just wait for Swix to post so that we know that she's aware of this and we can get off the elevator
Sorry if this feels a little boring for some of you, but it's kind of necessary for us to advance the Grendel side of the story.
You're more than welcome to join btw SFOT.)) _________________ If I'm not here, I'm probably over at...

((Sorry, the internet was all messed up this weekend so the most I could was that one post in General Chat and one post in Gameware. Then it went "I hate you now Swix" and refused to work.
Anyway, I'm here now ))
Dark purple Dana grinned as Sasha scrambled to get on the left, revealing a mouthful of many sharp teeth. It stopped the second the lift button was hit to make them leave the rest behind however, and Dana simply stood next t her fellow Grendels, not being very talkative at all. She hardly knew any of them, why would she have anything to talk about? Ah well, she was sure they'd have to make some sort of conversation once the assault on the Meso had started. _________________ Baker of the radioactive three-eyed flying purple cookie eating brownies!

((Okay, everybody's here now ))
The lift shuddered to a halt as it reached the end of the line, and the doors slid open. The only sound that could be heard was the groaning of the lift as it swayed slightly, not quite touching the ground. Of course, to the Grendels this seemed much louder than it actually was, given that they'd spent the last few minutes in total silence (much to Beh-Et's disbelief).
As far as the Grendels aboard the lift could tell, nothing stood between them and the teleporter that would take them to the Docking Station. "Get out there and prove me right." Beh-Et whispered, giving Sasha a light shove. He was quite certain that nothing was here, but just to rub it into Dehnel's face he'd have the girl prove this to be true. _________________ If I'm not here, I'm probably over at...

| Sasha stepped out, relieved that there was no sign of danger. She quickly glanced around and then said, "All clear, sir." She walked over to stand by the teleporter. |

((*Does a little jog before falling face first onto the floor*))
Joker giggled as he fiddled with his latest gadget. It may of only been an alarm, but to him it was an amazing little thing that he could use. What it actully did he didnt really know; it looked cool, it was machinery and it was his. _________________
