When I synthesize items all items I synthesize always has a CLANK CLANK, message after. I would make sense for metal making, NOT for making cake.

I agree with there should be some new noises just because the old ones get annoying. You should be able to make your own noises too because that way you would have more variety, who agrees?

I thik this is Blackstar, and everything made making a clanking noise is perfectly reasonable. Just ignore the messages.

To add to that, how many active people here apart from DP know how to code that sort of thing?

And, it's Blackstar. The clanking is the huge machine taking it in, breaking it down into base atoms and then reforming then into whatever. ^^

It wouldn't suprise me if it wasn't anything like that easy.

I'm entirely guessing here, (I backed down on the one offer I had to be allowed to see the coding for the store system) but I'd imagine all the stores actually work on just one template so giving them all their own sounds would involve creating a whole bunch of new templates and a new code to tell the existing code which template goes with what.

Personally I don't think it matters too much. After the first couple of times I made items I never bothered to read the text anyway, I just worry about weather it made the thing I wanted to and then go on to something else.

If you wanted I suppose you could always imagine it making a different noise in your head.

Danikat is correct. The message is hardcoded into the system, thus it would require the addition of a new variable, which would then have to be replaced in all previous instances where the text message was, and then defined for the hundreds of items Blackstar has...

If any PHP gurus want to volunteer, I'm sure DP would give you a copy of the code to have a crack at. It's a public MOD.
