Too many legendaries?

Am I the only one who thinks the number of legendary pokemon is getting a bit silly now?

We're up to 35 - 14 in Diamond/Pearl alone. It's just getting absurdly complicated trying to work out what they all are and how to get them.

Personally I think it'd make more sense for them to have had one universally avaliable one and one version exclusive one in each generation and then one you get from special events, making 4 per generation or 10 in total.

And no this isn't entirely insprired by the fact that I finally caught Palkia and found myself thinking 'One down...34 to go...' Laughing

I think the only reason for this many legendaries are for events, and something for the players to concentrate on catching.

I agree with huynh on this one.

With the new online features, it is much easier to get access to events.With the 3rd gen and lower, you actually had to travel in order to get your legendary from nintendo.To make up for this new "easyness" they probably added more pokemon so there is an added element of challenge.

That and catching legends is fun Razz

Really? Personally I've always hated legendaries, they feel like such a cheat. How many other RPG games have you played where the final boss joins your party? Razz

And then as if that wasn't bad enough, some are virtually impossible to obtain. Event pokemon are the most annoying idea ever - how the hell is one supposed to 'catch 'em all' if the game doesn't actually let you do that? Even with the new online features, it's still a pain because your country might only offer it for a week or so. Too bad if you buy the game after that or you're too busy to go and get yourself a single impossible-to-catch pokemon, you just miss out Confused

Even when I look stuff up online it's like "this was avaliable at the Blah Blah festival in Aisa and Some Random Thing in North America", nothing in the UK. Sad

What event Darkrai shadow in background..boring I already have one but the Magmartar and Elecltvire was pretty hot.

I never liked Legendary pokemon.
You have like 6-10 pokemon already over lvl 60-70
Then you catch a lvl 40 who's hard to train
And in my case I hardly play so....
Whatever.
I never liked legendaries
thats my little rant.
Hope I didnt make anyone upset
