The second it spoke, HollowEyes knew that he'd been tricked. Somehow, someway, the spirit of Coolpikaaa had eluded him. To think that the impudent yellow rodent could outwit him like this...

To say that HollowEyes was angry was a bit of an understatement.

However, he was determined not to let this anger show - this hadn't been a total loss for him, he'd still gotten a spirit that was very much like Coolpikaaa's, and he needed to maintain control over it. After spending about a minute urging himself not to hurl the dagger against the wall and then smash it into a million tiny pieces, he addressed the dagger.

~It seems that you've been tricked, spirit. This prison was meant for Coolpikaaa, I didn't believe that he was the type to sacrifice others for himself.~

Wait a minute, HollowEyes thought to himself - this kind of thinking could suit him quite well.

~I was sure that Coolpikaaa was fully informed about this, and yet it seems that you were sent instead. Tell me ill-fated spirit, what is your name?~

((I feel disappointed that HollowEyes would never make a lame joke referring to CP as 'Cruelpikaaa', because it's actually kinda funny Razz

The Neutrino Blade? The Neutrino Dagger? At the very least, it sounded slightly cooler than anything he could have done with Coolpikaaa's name.

~Well, nothing personal Neutrino, but your friend Coolpikaaa agreed to give me a soul a long time ago in exchange for a favour. I assumed that he meant his, but it looks like I was wrong.~

HollowEyes pondered, wondering what to do now. Unlike his sister he wasn't into torturing random people, and as he had no grudge against this Neutrino it seemed unnecessarily cruel to keep her in the dagger meant for Coolpikaaa. His train of thought was interrupted by the dagger shuddering slightly in his hand as Neutrino attempted to break free of it.

~Ah, sorry, it's quite inescapable. Coolpikaaa was a bit of a sneak, and I didn't want him trying to back out on our deal.~

This spirit was not nearly as powerful as Coolpikaaa's, and HollowEyes really couldn't see much of a use for it. Although as a member of the Evil Council, the Parasitian Second-in-Command wasn't charitable to strangers he'd just met, and as this Neutrino creature had taken a bullet for Coolpikaaa he wanted to get some answers before doing her any favours.

~Now I've got you nice and trapped for pretty much all of eternity in there if I should so choose it, but honestly I'd kind of already planned for having Coolpikaaa's soul... So I'll tell you what - answer my questions satisfactorily and I'll find you a new body.~

It was a deal so vague that it was almost cruel, HollowEyes could simply transfer Neutrino to a paperweight if he so desired it. However, HollowEyes was not an unfair man if you didn't get on his bad side, and he decided that he'd give Neutrino a chance to determine her own body with her answers.

~1st question: What happened to Coolpikaaa?~

HollowEyes wanted to throw the dagger into the garbage bin and leave it there, even Neutrino's memories were useless to him, too vague and non-descriptive to tell him anything.

~Your current body is a knife, what your next body is will depend entirely upon how useful you are to me. I am doing this to you because you are not Coolpikaaa and no, I don't work with any men in lab coats.~

A woman perhaps, but Dr. Tanner's gargantuan beastly creations would almost certainly have been mentioned, so HollowEyes took this to mean that Neutrino was not talking about the Council's eccentric Doctor.

~So, you went through the tear in the Afterlife that I'd created for Coolpikaaa to use, and you obviously didn't see or hear what he did after that because that's when you got caught in Coolpikaaa's trap.~ HollowEyes decided that he needed to get Neutrino to elaborate on her story a little more. He focused on the most interesting part this time, the mysterious third party.

~Tell me about the solid man. Distinguishing features, a name, whatever you know about him.~

Paranesia? That kind of information was a little more useful to him. Paranesia was invovled somehow, and given that Neutrino didn't mention anything horrible happening to the other man HollowEyes was willing to bet that he too was an immortal. It explained why his first opening had been sealed off mere moments after it had been created.

Why had she referred to Coolpikaaa as Chromis though? Mistaken identity? No, HollowEyes was sure that Paranesia knew who Coolpikaaa was... It probably meant something in another language, he'd have to ask around and see what he could find out about it.

Now for the tricky part. HollowEyes knew how being one of the bad guys worked - odds were, regardless of whether he actually wanted it to happen or not, Neutrino would find some way out of his hands and into the hands of another. And when she did, they'd find some way to get their entire conversation out of her. It didn't really matter what HollowEyes did, because now she was practically immortal and he only had maybe just under 80 years left, if he was lucky to live so long.

So what he needed to do now was make sure that what she remembered of him was vague and not at all attributable to the Parasitian known to all as 'HollowEyes'. Thus far, he was quite confident that few people knew that he was capable of something like this, so it wouldn't be too obvious in the handiwork, but if he went revealing too many details to Neutrino (like 'I know Paranesia', etc.) it'd be all too easy to pin this to him.

~I see. The man sounds like somebody I know. I guess his staff was pretty unique, if you don't remember any other details about him could you describe it to me, just so that I can be sure that it was him?~

He couldn't imagine that he'd get much more useful information out of Neutrino, so from here on out it'd be a few 'red herring' questions, and then he'd get rid of her.
