Blackstar Pokemon Trainer's Tournament Registration

Ok, because of the logistical nightmare I"m about to put myself under, I'm announcing this well ahead of schedule.

On March 1st, we are holding our first annual Blackstar Pokemon Trainer's Tournament, or the BPTT. The BPTT is an any level, any pokemon tournament, the prize of which is your very own Blackstar Badge (which, due to the nature of our forums, will be a medal awarded to the winner).

I"m opening up registration now, as to go ahead and sign myself up, and give people enough warning as to finish preparing a team.

I ask that when you register, please leave your name, friend code, and team listing. This listing does not have to reflect the order you put your team in for the Tournament, but you must repost your registration if you decide to change your team.

A bit of clearing up - I'm opening Registration now, but will be closing them a week before the tournament as to do seeding (I'll be getting an independent observer to seed us) and setting up a bracket.

And yes, Bookmakers bets will be made available.

I may be entering this tournament, but there are things I need to know first, mostly pertaining to the rules of this tournament.

Are there any Pokémon that will not be allowed to compete in the tournament, like Legendaries or ubers?

Is a team allowed to contain more than one of any given Pokémon?

Are any items excluded from the tournament?

Since I only restarted my game recently, I'm going to need to know exactly what I should be raising. I don't have much time.

Yes you can have more than one of any given Pokemon

Items can be held by pokemon.

And unless they've changed something, I don't think you can use items such as full restore (I haven't link battled yet on Diamond) - but in case they have, you can't use those type of items.

I vaugely seem to remember agreeing to help out with this in some capacity or other that will prevent me from competing but if not I'll enter.

I assume this will be using the 'level 50 battle' feature that automatically makes all the Pokemon level 50, in order to make it fair?

To keep things moving and motivate people to join, I'd also like to announce a secondary prize: I am submitting 5000 from the board funds into the prize pool, which anyone can donate to by donating to the Blackstar Foundation, including the note "for Blackstar Pokemon Tourney".

The pool will be split among the winners as such.

Third place will get 5% of the pool, which is 250 currently
Second place will get 10% of the pool, which is 500
First place will get the remaining 85% (4250 currently), plus the blackstar badge.

Edit: Huynh has just donated 600 to the pot, so the figures are now off - I'll recalculate later.
