The fox narrowed her eyes.

Another fox appeared, standing intently next to the spirit.

"You know what information this spirit has for you, Chronos, and I'm not letting you have it. Leave peacefully, Chronos, the spirit is mine."

((An outtake that I found inexplicably hilarious:

A clown appeared, looking blankly at the spirit.

"You know what information this spirit has for you, Chronos, and I'm not letting you-"

The clown honked a horn.

"Where'd this clown come from?"
This is what happens when I say clown instead of clone.))

Chronos narrowed his own eyes, shaking at the fox still hanging from his arm.

"And why would I-"

~Don't. You know what would happen.~

Chronos froze. She was right.

Paranesia didn't know.

He took his staff in his remaining usable hand.

"Fine, then. Have your spirit. Do not think this is the last time, Paranesia."

Chronos vanished, the fox attached to his arm disappearing with him.

Coolpikaaa watched as a familiar grey fox flew out of nowhere and began to attack Chronos.

"P-Gah...Whatsyourname, stop that!"Coolpikaaa called out in a weak attempt to stop the fighting.It was at that point, he suddenly started to realize his memory was fading.

The fox split into two, one standing in front of the new spirit while the other kept clamped onto Chronos' hand.It was at that point, Coolpikaaa suddenly started to realize his memory was fading.

Now not remembering etheir one of the two fighters names, coolpikaaa realized something was wrong.As long as he never forgot Neutrino and what Holloweyes did....

It was at that point, he suddenly started to realize his memory was fading.

With the only threat gone, Paranesia turned to the spirit.

Tapping him with her snout, she spoke.

"Come now, new spirit. What is your name?"

Coolpikaaa felt a tap.

"Come now, new spirit. What is your name?"

"My name? Thats easy! It's Coo---"He paused, thinking hard."Uhmm...Shouldn't you probably know that?

"Chromis, then. Chromis, spirit of color."

Eyes open.

Sunlight, too bright.

Stagger to feet, too hard, down on all fours.

Shaking off the residue of a strange dream, he looked around.A forest ahead moved in a breeze, he sniffed the air.

Strange smells, and the lingering scent of freshly turned dirt.He wondered if he was hungry, then his stomach growled, as if being tied to the thought.

He sniffed the air again, reasoning that there was probably fruit in the forest, but where food was, enemies could be found.A strange looking building was behind him, but it gave off frightening sounds.

Forest or Building?

He decided to risk moving toward the structure.The sounds got louder as he crept closer, and he started to doubt if he made the right choice.A hole in the building was soon spotted, and he managed to hoist himself up to a ledge just in front of it.

Thunk.

His head hit something in the gap.He moved a paw up and felt over the smooth surface of whatever was in the way.He sat,stumped on how to get in, before seeing something move inside.He froze,trying to make himself as small as possible.

Good going.
Now you are going to get eaten.

Kazumaru's eyes caught movement. He jumped up from his seat. His eyes saw a spot of yellow flesh, and he instinctively ran towards it, phasing through the things in his way.

"Holy sh--..." he started, looking at the electric mouse he knew so well. "Comrade pikachu?!"

Whatever moved from before had now spotted him.

It rushed at high speed, causing anything in it's way to fade out of existance in a maniac attempt to catch the intruder.

He fell back off the ledge, landing on all fours once again as he sprinted as fast as possible away from the deranged man.

Where to hide.....

Bushes snapped back as he screamed through them.He was up a tree before he knew it, hidden in the leaves.

Paranesia appeared on the ledge, sitting, her size changed to fit comfortably.

~Aren't you a bit hopeful? Most normal beings don't expect their friends to just inexplicably appear,~ she said to Kazumaru.

She turned to look out the window.

~A shame that yours actually did. Come out, Chromis. He's not going to hurt you.~

Kazumaru spun on his heel. "Normal‽ I'M A MAN IN BOXERS, A LAB COAT, AND A TOP HAT! I'M ALSO ENTIRELY IMMORTAL, AND I CAN THROW LIGHTNING FROM MY HANDS! I DON'T THINK I QUALIFY AS NORMAL BY ANY STRETCH OF THE IMAGINATION, GODDESS!" he shouted.

The music died out, as if by a mental command by Kazumaru. "... Chromis?"

The familiar voice made him feel a bit safer, but moving out of the tree was the last thing he wanted to do.

He sent out feelings of fear and the image of the crazed man rushing towards him back to the voice.Somehow he knew it would work, even though it made no sense to him at all.

Paranesia sighed.

Taking them directly from Kazumaru, the goddess sent images of the two getting along and being friends to Chromis.

HollowEyes figured that he'd given Coolpikaaa enough time now to become accustomed to his new prison, and began to search for the dagger. Where had he left it again? ~In an empty storage charm boss, so that it doesn't get to interact with anything, remember?~ Caton reminded him, pointing to the small arrangement of storage charms on the wall. "Ah yes, thank you Caton." HollowEyes replied, carefully examining the charms. Third from the right? He thought that was it... It had been a little while now.

Reaching into the gaping jaws of the charm, he felt his hand touch the hilt of the dagger, letting him know that he'd picked the right one. "Ah, there you are..." Removing the dagger, he saw that it had gone through something of a metamorphosis. The hilt had become black and twisted, no doubt a result of the captive's ill will towards being restrained in this manner, and the blade had bent itself into bizarre angles, and turned a metallic yellow colour. In a way it kind of reminded HollowEyes of Coolpikaaa's tail.

~Good afternoon, dagger. How are you liking your new 'body' thus far?~ HollowEyes said in an amused tone. He knew that mentally responding was about all that Coolpikaaa would be capable of doing in this state (although what he didn't know was that it wasn't Coolpikaaa in this state at all, but Neutrino).

Thoughts that were not his own filled the head of the creature in the tree.The thoughts all had him in them, along with the maniac.For some reason though, they didn't feel the same.

He lowered himself down from the tree onto the ground, watching the building carefully.
