Hmm. Might as well start by the birth of a neko.
Not much known 'bout it, exept it involves a cat sacrifice, and the cat's fur pattern becomes the same on the assimilated human.
Cats are royalty, obviously, black ones being sacred and only sacrificed when creating nekos destined to be of high rank, as in
commander of a large army, elder magician, something like that.
As anyone knows, young kittens are identical to human children, however often do not intregrate with human sociaty, the minority coming from dying tribes. They become adults, growing the cat parts, at an uncertain date, however we are not sure. They have no reproductive organs whatsoever, losing it at birth.
Cultures and stuff. Whoo.
Obviously, fur patterns mean everything. White/black nekos often end up as mages or seers. Tiger stripes or lion patterns often become warriors. One flat pattern or a tabby-ish pattern light enough to be hidden are generally assimilators. Nekos live in tribes, the tribe Candour being of high rank, producing most of the black Nekos. The tribe Monde is well known for its accurate seers, and the tribe Phoenix being famous for its mages. It is possible, but unlikely, that there are scattered remains of tribes, occasionally a rumor or two about 'a mysterious woman with two sets of ears and a cat tail and this most extrodanary hair....'
Okay, clothing.
Armor. Nekos are likely to use chain mail, because it is somewhat more flexable then plate mail. They do wear plate helmets, with an extension to protect their ears, as it is the ultimate insult to lose them. Warriors learn to master their beserk form, and always use it for battle. To protect their legs, a slice of steel is often tied to their lower leg, their upper leg being covered in chain mail. Their paws have wood blocks with metal pegs stuck into them, for both traction and the ability to chop the heck out of a foe when kicking ((Especially when facing males)). Tail is chain mailed to semi protect it, with a spike row
going down it for obvious reasons.
((This is a work in progress. Even though nothing's been done with it for probably a good few months.)) _________________ Shaon Galatea -- Artist | Musician | Radio DJ | Voice Actor | Writer |
