Halo 4 possible? (may contain spoilers)

Who has seen the ending of Halo 3 after beating it on legendary?
There has been a few arguments over the death or survival of Master Chief(John)
This is one of them. Bungie says this is a trilogy.
I think otherwise.
After seeing how they left it open like that.
I cant wait to find out.

Put me down as 'I sure hope not'. Not to say that Halo's a bad game, I'm just not a fan.

Well, I am a fan, but I'm still hopeful this is the end.

Not that I want to see it end, but a series of any type can be spoiled if it lingers beyond a reasonable point. Harry Potter is another example. I applaud Mrs. Rowlings for keeping her firm stand that there shall be only the 7 books describing his years of learning magic - and no more in spite of the mountain of money that could be made otherwise. The Story arc came to a logical, understandable, and most importantly complete end with the seventh book, and she shouldn't spoil it by trying to keep the series alive on life-support. Now I'm more interested in what other worlds the imagination of J.K.Rowlings can come up with, as I am eager to see what else the people who have been working on HALO can do.

There was ment to be a definitely not. Guess It didnt work.

I thought it was finished but then I saw that ending.
It was a shocking, they left it wide open.
And anouther thing is that the rings were ment to kill the humans and the covenent. Not the flood.

I think the whole point of that was that you can only kill flood by destroying their food source. I don't know if you got the Limited edition one with the bonus disc and book, but in the book it describes every known race and how they work, tech status etc. If one single Flood cell survives then the whole process can start all over again. So the only way they could make 100% certain they were all dead was to kill themselves and everything else big enough to be eaten or infected, and that didn't work either ('cause the Flood found out what they were up to and protected themselves to an extent).

I say definitely not, Bungie was adamant this would be the last instalment so they could work on other projects, despite them keeping it open. Come to think of it, every game I've ever played always leaves something open to speculation.

But I agree with you.
They should end it so they can work on other project.
They've spent a lot of time on this project.
But I still say possibly
Because they could if they wanted to.
then again they said its a trilogy.
A trilogy ends at three....normally

Yes but as usual something always sneaks in at the last second to make it a quadrilogy. This is kind of becoming more apparent in the movie world, however, with such titles as Die Hard 4 coming in, as well as an apparent new Indiana Jones film. *shrugs* Maybe Halo will follow suit?

Well, if you're itching for some more Halo action, there's Halo Wars to look forward to. A RTS game that has nothing to do with Master Chief

Last I heard Bungie had parted ways with Microsoft because Microsoft were pushing for more games and Bungie didn't want to do it.

But its not the end of the Halo universe, so theres always the outside possibility that at some point another FPS game will be a logical addition.

Ya thats kind of wierd how some trilogies end up getting 4 movies or games...
this game Jak and Dexter (u heard of it?) It has Jak and Dexter, Jak 2, Jak 3, and Jak combat racing.
Jak combat racing isnt really the 4th game though.
It's more of an all racing game using Jak and Dexter character and weapons.
Quiet some bit fun...

Soooo what is Halo wars?
How does it have nothing to do with the Chief

Halo Wars was slated to be an RTS game, with the Omega Spartans and humans on one side and the Covenant on the other.

That's about all I can remember. Download the trailer if you have Live, it's free after all.
