Danikat vs. Iman

Iman had to admit it to himself. His change of weapon and change of tactics were a huge gamble. Danikat did have the advantage right now, and Iman was desperate to find a way to get himself in a better position. As Danikat was moving backwards, Iman hoped that she didn't do what he thought she'd do, and mount a full-frontal attack that he'd have no chance of avoiding or deflecting.

And then suddenly, Danikat was stabbing forward. Iman barely had time to take a quick step to his left to avoid the stabbing motion. It did graze his side, sending some fresh pain through Iman's system. But not enough to stop him from smiling inwardly.
She doesn't even know the opportunity she's just given me yet, he thought in the split second between his side step and his huge step forward, and slashing sideways and outwards at her chest simultaneously as he closed the gap. When the gap was closed enough that Iman could feel Danikat's breath on him a moment later, he immediately stabbed to her waist.

((Note - my dagger arm is moving in one fast circular motion whilst stepping forward... so slashing outwards to being with, and by the time the step is finished, brought round for a stabbing motion in the side. Easily done, really.))

Danikat had not really expected much sucess from her attack, it was a simple move and easy to avoid but Iman's response impressed her, she suspect he was probably more skilled with a blade than she was.

His initial attack was awkward to avoid; she had to twist her body sideways which off-balanced her even more, but then he made the mistake she had been waiting for. Because he had switched his blade to his right hand his circular attack twisted his right arm around her left which was still extended from her attack. ((His initial attack went under her arm, then he came in over it for the second attack.))

She tensed her arm, pushing upwards in an effort to keep his knife from her abdomen. At the same time she took her katana in her right hand and used her left to grab his right arm, giving her a better grip.
