Fall Cleaning

Well, the Database of blackstar is of sufficient size that it is extremely difficult to make backups. - Which tells me it's time to clean out the clutter. Now I've never been one for spring cleaning - but fall, that's the time to clean. Clear out the mess before you start storing away for winter!

So, here's my plan. I would like people to go through the forums, and if they see a thread that has not been posted to in at least 8 months, and is not something major that they think should be kept, make a note of the thread title, and the board it is on, and post them as a reply here. I'll go through, issue a final verdict, and clean away starting this weekend.

Modding the Norn Gardens is amazingly easy at times. Gotta love the post.

I think it'd probably be ok to remove a fairly large chunk of the Training Dojo threads since they're not in use anymore and the majority aren't cannon for anyone.

Unfinished Buisness (Swix vs. GBE) is really more of a Challenge Area thread which happens to pre-date the Challenge Area. If they want to keep it (not sure if its cannon or not) it should probably be moved there, if not it can be deleted.

I moved The Expedition Gone Wrong back to The Wilds. It was originally moved during the confusion that lead to the creation of the belts system when many of those involved were restricted to the Training Dojo but since that system fell by the wayside it can go back where it belongs.

And that cuts it down to just one year's worth of threads, or 35. Which seems like a reasonable amount.

I don't see why post counts would be affected. I'm guessing they would be stored seperately from the actual threads and posts and such. If not then that's just stupid Razz

Hmmm... Unfinished Business and A Stroll and a Flight of Fancy are actually both proper RPs (well, they turned into them), but the latters result ended up in the Wilds, so I don't have a problem with that being moved.

Unfinished Business I'd prefer to keep for now though Wink

Well I don't really think that The Bingo Hall holds much sentimentality for anyone since they are only word games and whatnot. Unless anyone has any objections, I'd say any thread not posted in at all this year can go (anything between Blackstar's creation and 31st December 2006).
