having Java help...anyone help me?

okay, simple as this, i'm having java problems. it says that there are too many java program thingies running...one sec *goes to see the actual message* arg, lol. -several java virtual machines running at same time caused and error.- can anoyone help solve this problem?

but i only have my msn up, my acrobat reader up a cd for the reader in and the site up when that happens......

Check on the taskbar in the bottom right corner and see if there is a little icon which looks like a coffee mug. If so, right click it and turn it off. It may be hidden, so expand the tray with the little arrow and check.

Well, the JVM usually (IE pretty much always, unless something's doing something freaky <.<) only gets launched when running something that uses Java, so either A.) Something's launching itself over and over again, B.) you're going on a website that contains Java applets and for some reason your browser doesn't clean up after itself, or C.) you're running a Java application somewhere along the line that doesn't clean up after itself. When does this error message occur?

Well it was occuring when I went into the JR chat right away but NOW the JR chat has a nice little red 'x' in the top left hand corner of the chat screen v.v I don't know what is wrong with my java... T.T

Hit control-alt-delete, and open up the task manager. Go to the Processes tab, and look for anything that has "Java," or "Sun" in the name. Select it, then click "End Process." Repeat until the error stops.

Alternatively, restart your computer.

You could also attempt to update your Java if all else fails...

Already tried that, I got the new one and it's not the program fault, it's something about the JR chat client.....I'm soo confused....
