Personally I wonder why 3kul is like getting all upset about this. Is he trying to prove he/they are "better" than us? Whats the point. Is he trying to rub it in our faces that our leadership is in disarray? Do you have something to prove to settle your ego 3kul? You seem like you are preparing to kick our asses. that doesn't sound like fun to me, and the whole point of plaing a game is "fun".
For me, your attitude takes the fun out of it. Go find somebody else to rag on. I will RP with anyone who enjoys a good story, but I'm not into this to feed anyone's ego.

Good lord, can we please stop trying to change this simple challenge into an "ego-off"? I mean honestly, every single time when it comes to this topic, there's this sudden inflation and I don't mean in yen.

So let us please stop with the name calling from both parties, not assuming that it was there intentionally from either parties, and we'll go away and reach a conclusion before the time limit is over.

Edit: And lastly, cut some slack for 3kul. He's the messenger, and it is true that we've kept them waiting for a long time now. Though we've had unfavourable circumstances, that doesn't mean we need to proceed with rudeness or anything of the like.

I don't care if you think that I'm better than you or not Shine, I'm here to speak on behalf of the Council, not just myself.

Why do I/the Council seem upset? Because the first person to respond snaps at us and tells us that we aren't being patient enough, and then the second tells me that with only four members you probably aren't going to take us on. This after almost four months of waiting.

There was a time when I could not say "the Evil Council is the best group in Blackstar" without one (or more) ever-alert Guardian reminding us of the Olympics almost instantly. Would the Guardians even get a mention if I said the same thing now? That was around the same time that whenever somebody hinted at some sort of conflict between the Council and the Guardians pretty much every Dojodian paid attention. And now what? You're telling us that the fight that basically made the Olympics was no fun? That it would be no fun at all to do it all over again?

We want this because we thought that it would be fun, that it would be a challenge. Something that might push our own RP skills to the limit and yes, for some of us, we see it as a way to perhaps regain some credit that we lost back in the Olympics.

To repeat myself: you have one week to let us know if you want this or not. We're not saying that you have to fight us in one week, just that you have to make up your minds and let us know if this is actually going to happen.

If you don't have a leader available to make up your minds for you why not just put it to vote? "Do we want to fight the EC?", answers are "Yes" or "No", a 7 day poll. Amazingly simple, and once you get the results you have your answer. Give me a reason or don't, it doesn't really matter, as long as I get to find out whether or not this is a lost cause.

Sorry to barge like this folks, but I felt that perhaps another EC member might be needed to clarify our situation.

You have to remember that the Evil Council is an active group of decent RPers, as are the Guardians. Our in house RPs can only go so far if we're all working towards the same cause, and as a result, we have to look further afield if we want to stave off boredom. That is why we want this war, because we'd like some excitement. It's the reason behind just about everything we do from RPs to plots, and I think it helps to make our group more immersive on the whole.

Think back to your humble beginnings, Guardians. The EC lent it's support to help get you on your feet. We allowed our members to join you, turn a blind eye to the identical power structures of our groups, and we were excited to have a new RP force to contend with.

Competition keeps us strong. That is why, in a period where Blackstar is undergoing a lot of transitions to it's current memberbase, we favoured a battle with our old rivals. We thought that you guys would be able to give us an exciting matchup which, not only would have been a great RP, but also a fantastic showcase for the newer members to see what both of our groups are capable of.

3kul is acting as the voice of our organisation Shine. It's not his intention to start a war on a personal level with you. We've been relying on him to be our ambassedor here and we've been advising him on how to respond, so do not feel that this is a personal attack. You have to remember that we asked for this war back before the Hackstar Plot, before the Felbeasts vs Guardians, and several times before we took the initiative to contact you at your base of operations here. To say that our members are restless is an understatement, and you have been keeping us holding on for 3-4 months now. We have placed most plots on hold in anticipation of this war, and our plan was pretty much finalised 2 months ago; we're raring to go!

Alas, the vertiable force that trounced us at the Olympics seems to have disintegrated. I'd rather you told us that the fight was off, because if you don't feel your group is up to the task then we can put this behind us and move onto other plots and such. In the past, I've seen you folks posting responses saying that the fight is coming, but we'll have to wait. Well, the wait is over, but we're still offering you a get out clause, because we're not bullying you into a fight, we're bullying you into a clear response. Of course, if it's a No, we'll have to call you "The Namby Pamby Baby Patrol" as it is our nature as evil beings

So, what say you Guardians? Care to join us for the grandest battle Blackstar has ever known? Or would you prefer to let the opportunity pass by. It's your call.

Thanks for the input Addman, you've managed to sum it up perfectly. And sorry to have caused you grief over this DP, thanks for being a sport and moving it to the Challenge Arena for us.

Now to clear something up.

Well, this was a most pleasant thread to come back to. My my. The first thing I read is an argument. Have things got no better. And 3kul, perhaps you are right that the Gaurdians did mention a few times their win over you in the Olympics. But remember, the EC would have done just the same thing if they had won.

Onto other matters, slanging matches and arguments will not get anyone anywhere. And I see your point of keeping things convinient. That, I whooly appreciate. However, now that it is out in the open, I have simply one thing to say: Your Challenge Is Accepted

As far as I am concerned, no matter what happens, the limited numbers of The Guardians will obviously have something to prove to themselves and everybody else. You wish to have no judges, we can live with that, but we require two independant overseers to have the final say if a problem arises.

Considering the levels of roleplayers from either side, one character per team. If a character has a pet, the fine, but if we start saying more than one, then with the combined amount from the EC, The Gaurdians would be overpowered in a few posts. One character per team.

Gaurdians, we have been challenged, all that remains is to set a start date. To the Citadel!

P.S. You will have our team roster in about 7 days. That gives you all plenty of time to provide full and up to date profiles for everyone who is entering. If your character can do something, it must be noted. Otherwise, we will dispute it as a powerplay. We will keep track of any edits after the challenge starts. We will also provide the same...

I don't have any problems with the rules that you've just set out, and I don't think that the rest of the Council will either (don't hold me to that though, I'd rather check first).

Being the fight-happy creature I am, I'm really eager to get this show on the road, and the wait's making me irritated. It seems it's getting to every other EC and Guardian member, too.
