As Nexus let go Mr Brick found himself unbalanced, he put his arms out to try and stop himself falling but the one Nexus had damaged collapsed under him and left him lying on one side on the floor, attempting to roll back up again. _________________ Oh what a tangled web we weave when first we practice to decieve ~ Sir Walter Scott

((This is one of those situations where you need to try and visulise the battle. Mr Brick is currently face down with his injured arm lying on the floor and his other side slightly raised on his uninjured arm. Which means both arms are under him.
Bearing that in mind its a little hard to work out how exactly Nexus' attack would work. Maybe if you edit your post to describe it in a little more detail it'll make sense, or you can try a diffrent approach.)) _________________ Oh what a tangled web we weave when first we practice to decieve ~ Sir Walter Scott

A large, masked creature, clad in armour and slightly taller than the Werewolf is walking by the Training Dojo, when he hears Nexus' puzzlement as to where his trainer had gone. The creature enters the sparring chamber, and noticing the Werewolf in the room unsupervised by a superior, speaks in a deep guttural voice,
"I apologize for the intrusion, trainee, but it seems your sensei has vanished. I will contact them for you so you can resume your training."
He turns to leave, but then notices Mr. Brick injured on the floor. He strides up to the mannequin and gives it a powerful kick to the torso, sending it flying into the wall of the sparring chamber.
"Lump of trash," he mutters, before exiting the room.
((Here I have done something that, if you remember Danikat's little essay, that you really shouldn't do. I attacked Mr. Brick and decided the outcome myself. This is an acceptable action in the case of NPC's, or Non-Player-Characters. Or, as I prefer to call them, APC's, or All-Player-Characters.
APC's aren't found very often, but they tend to consist of nobodies, generic characters, or characters not associated with a particular participant. If you're sparring with someone in a densely populated area, for instance, the civilians in the area would be APC's, since they're not controlled by any particular person. These characters it is alright to decide the outcome of your own attacks made on them, since not only are they not controlled by anyone, they are usually so weak they would be all but powerless to stop any attack you throw at them, and so any outcome you can imagine is usually not implausible.
The civilian example given above is not the only occurance of APC's, it is merely an example. And in the case of Mr. Brick, since Danikat has gone AWOL I decided to treat him as an APC, if only for this one post. In the end, though, it is not advisable to treat other people's characters as APC's unless you have their permission. Naughty me....)) |

((I'm so sorry!
I have no idea why but replies to this thread weren't showing up on the main Training Dojo page, not for me anyway, and I never thought to check the actual thread. Since you hadn't posted anywhere else I assumed you weren't here.
I did get your PM though, and EnD's. Lets see if we can catch up. You're doing well so it shouldn't be too hard. And although I don't think I mentioned it before any time you feel you've gotten the hang of things feel free to say you want to stop the training.
So, lets take it from EnD's post:))
Mr. Brick hit the wall with a thump and dropped, face first, to the floor. He lay there motionless for a few moments before slowly dragging his arms to his sides and attempting to push himself to his feet. He was made to be beaten up and was incapable of feeling pain or tiredness but the constant battering he had endured appeared to be affecting him and his movements were noticably slower than before. _________________ Oh what a tangled web we weave when first we practice to decieve ~ Sir Walter Scott

The additional weight of Nexus suddenly hitting his back drops Mr. Brick to the floor again. Realising it'll be impossible to get up with the werewolf on his back he resorts to rolling suddenly to one side, trying to throw Nexus off. _________________ Oh what a tangled web we weave when first we practice to decieve ~ Sir Walter Scott

((You're doing really well now. The only thing I'd suggest is to try and add a little more description to your posts. You've got all the essential information in there which is great but all its really telling the other people in the RP is the basic facts of whats happening. Your characters personality and style, and your own writing style, comes out in the extra 'colour' you add to your posts.
For example if I was to re-write your last post I might do something like this:
"Nexus wobbled as Mr. Brick moved under him and shuffled his feet quickly to try and keep his balance on the suddenly unstable surface of his opponents back. Realising he has to do something to stop him Nexus rises is claws and tries to strike at Mr. Bricks back where his spine should be."
I haven't changed whats actually happened, I've just described it in a bit more detail, as if it was a scene from a story or a movie. It makes it a little easier to visulise and offers a bit of an insight into how your character thinks and acts rather than just what he does.
Of course you don't have to go about it exactly the same way I did, otherwise that would be copying my writing style instead of developing your own, its up to you what exactly you say or how you say it.))
Mr. Brick didn't have a spine. Like most golems he was made of just one material all the way through. Fortunately for Nexus however certian parts of that material were more important to his structure than others and the deep slash Nexus' claws left in his back seriously affected his ability to hold himself upright. For now it didn't make a big diffrence but Mr. Brick would have a very hard time ever standing upright again.
((I'm actually starting to wonder if my golem will survive your training.))
Mr. Brick continued his roll, however the top section of his bodynow twisted faster than the lower section, leaving him at an odd angle which would hopefully make Nexus' footing even more unstable. _________________ Oh what a tangled web we weave when first we practice to decieve ~ Sir Walter Scott

((thanks for the tip i was speed typing because i had to leave in a few minutes))
Realizing that Nexus wont be able to keep his foot much longer, Nexus jumps
back, try to get as far away from Mr Brick as possible. |

((Thats a lot better!))
Freed from Nexus Mr. Brick is finally able to pull himself upright...almost. The slice across his back has affected his stability and his top half now tilts to the left. He takes a few steps to confirm that his legs are working still before rushing across the floor, right arm raised ready to punch, hoping to catch Nexus off-guard. _________________ Oh what a tangled web we weave when first we practice to decieve ~ Sir Walter Scott

Still facing the other side and crouched down from the jump impact on the ground Nexus Hears Mr Brick Running across the floor just before the punch impacts. The punch send nexus flying through the air before he controls the momentum into flipping and lands on his feet. The punch left his left arm dislocated for the battle. " Now IM MAD"
