Yes. If you couldn't work it out from the title, then I worry. In this thread you post your favorite anime (unless of course you don't like anime. In which case...) I've just wrapped up all the episodes of Elfen Lied. THERE WERE THIRTEEN (and a half sort of) EPISODES! How could there be so few? *sobs* Anyway, along with the purpose of telling the world (or Blackstar) your favorite anime(s) it is also a place to suggest what anime I should try next. Mourning over the end of Elfen Lied isn't doing me any good. And waiting till Tuesday to watch Ergo Proxy... Not good either. HELP! _________________ Putteh! |

I loved the Fullmetal Alchemist anime, but it's waaay to different from the manga. But then again, the Trigun anime was really just inspired by the manga, but I still luvs it. ^-^
I like Digimon Adventure, which is by far the best of the bunch, imo... I mean, eventually, they didn't even use their digimon anymore, they became the digimon! That's just... weird. *Shrugs* But that's just my opinion... _________________ Not just a future.

Too many favourites to list for me. Samurai Champloo is way up there, and if you haven't seen that I thoroughly recommend it. FLCL isn't too far behind it, unfortunately it's only 6 eps long, but still worth watching.
As for what I'm watching at the moment, I like Bleach and One Piece, and I used to enjoy Naruto (I still watch it, but the episodes before the year or so of fillers were far better than what they're showing now).
Seto no Hanayome is a newer series that I've been enjoying recently, it's mostly comedy/romance (more comedy though) so it's not especially plot-heavy, but it never fails to make me laugh (two words: yakuza mermaids ). _________________ If I'm not here, I'm probably over at...

Extremely high up on my list are Haibane Renmei ('Charcoal Feather Federation', somewhat obscure anime about angels with issues and Ergo Proxy (An even more obscure anime that is, at its core, a cross between I, Robot, and greek mythology).
Also pretty high up are Princess Tutu (Typical shoujo anime with a twist -- they're all being controlled by a demented author) and The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya (Oh come on, if you haven't heard of this, you live under a rock. [s:3cc0466a44]No, ponytails turn me on. That ponytail you wore that one day looked so good it was criminal.[/s:3cc0466a44]).
Finally, Otome wa Boku ni Koishiteru (Maidens are Falling in Love With Me, romantic comedy about a guy who attends an all-girls school (and crossdresses to not arouse suspicion) due to his grandfather's will. All his classmates fall for him and are convinced they're lesbians. Also, romeo and juliet has a lot of homoerotic subtext) is good for a few laughs. No, if you put the word 'desu' in your comic it will NOT make it funny.
Desu isn't funny.

She seems to say desu far more times than is necessary
I don't know much about Rozen Maiden (other than 'desu'), maybe I should check it out. _________________ If I'm not here, I'm probably over at...

That's enough Desu to kill a person like me, a person who isn't too fond of Anime, and hasn't watched all that much in his time.

I don't know much anime but from what I've seen Ghost in the Shell is my favourite.
I'd reccommend watching it in order (1st movie, 2nd movie, 2 series of the TV show, 3rd movie) even though the first two movies aren't really that much to do with the TV show or 3rd movie. Its the same characters and everything but completely seperate storylines that contradict each other. But it makes a hell of a lot more sense if you've seen the movie before the TV show because it explains a lot of the background. _________________ Oh what a tangled web we weave when first we practice to decieve ~ Sir Walter Scott

I have a comic?
Settle down, jeez.
And yes. Suiseiseki says "Desu" a lot.
And Rozen Maiden is a pretty interesting series. _________________ "Paranesia was quickly becoming sick of her hands. "You're not particularly impressive looking, are you?"" |

Metropolis, Akira (it's messed up, yet makes sense... uh, if you've seen it you'll know what I mean), Ninja Scroll, Vampire Hunter D, Spirited Away. They're all movies rather than series but they're pretty cool anyway. Then you've got Armitage 3, which sort of alternative future set on Mars. They didn't mention it very much in the episodes but I find it interesting it's set in a time where two worlds have become almost two ideals: Masculinist on Mars and Feminist on Earth.
For proper series, I've really gotten into Wolf's Rain... and I'm only half way through the series _________________ Baker of the radioactive three-eyed flying purple cookie eating brownies!

Chobits! I've read the whole series, loved it, and is still in love with it.

Another series I greatly enjoyed was Rurouni Kenshin. There's also more animes/manga that I like... but those are the only two I've watch/read fully. _________________ We make a living by what we get, we make a life by what we give.
