The Forests are Frozen

The wolf was in the middle of turning around when the lightning bolt hit him, directly in the neck.

Something crackled, him yelping in pain as the lose chains crackled from the spread electricity.

Flashes of memories flooded him and were gone almost as quickly, disorienting him for a moment.

Only one thing remained from the flood, a single word, Articus. It sounded familiar, but he couldn't place where.

Quickly, his anger boiled to an even higher extent than what it was previously. Clearly, he had underestimated this rodent.

He snarled and barked, charging at the rodent once again.

Undine simply stepping back and watched as the wolf took multiple hits from everyone else after CP apparently thought she was an enemy.

However, now she decided to get a hit in. Looking around at the ice, sge got an idea.

Kneeling down, she put her hand against the ice, and focused on melting it. Soon, a large circle of unmelted water spread outwards from that spot.

[Kazumaru]

Kazumaru let out a fierce shout as the beast charged his friend again, and attempted to blast a large, possibly lethal burst of electricity at the wolf.

But nothing happened. Even when he made useless hand gestures, he couldn't attack the wolf. He could feel The Order of Things stopping him.

"A... God?" he said, amazement in his voice.

[Shine]

Obed continued to carefully stalk around towards the side, down on all fours. He "morphed" into "battle mode", gaining slightly in size and acquireing a slightly more lion-like mouth with metal fangs, sharp metal wing front edges, and a metal tip on the end of his tail, with a small hole at the end of it which glistens with a greenish fluid. ((There are some other changes, not so visible.))

Whiteoak continues to draw power from the images and ideas of the four cardinal archangels and the elements they command. He is pulling them together and forming them into a concentrated "spell" in a unique configuration that will be available for use when complete. He sort of notices Cloud's arrival, Cloud is only ever "sort of" noticeable. they have worked together befor, in spite of conflicting allegiances and he does not feel threatened

[Coolpikaaa]

Coolpikaaa watched as the others entered the cave and tried to help fight off the wolf.He was glad that Kaz seemed to have changed his mind and was now making weird movements with his arms almost like a messed up dance.Something seemed to be troubling kaz,it was almost as if he was trying to attac-

It all suddenly clicked together.

Coolpikaaa looked at his opponent.For some reason his first attack seemed to have dazed the wolf,but it was charging him again.A bolt flew out at the charging foe`s face as coolpikaaa once again attempted to jump over him.But before he could even make a move,pain rushed over like a wave.

Coolpikaaa looked down at his arm.The ice had continued to grow,spreading out from his paw and down to his chest where little bits of frost were already forming.

Soon the numbness came,but it did nothing to lift coolpikaaa mood.He suddenly snapped back to reality as the wolf was nearly upon him.He bent low,and used the ice to an advantage,sliding across it's surface and hopefully under the wolf. As he slid under it's jaw,he aimed a large amount of volts to the underside of the wolf's neck for good measure.

[Kazumaru]

Kazumaru, observing his attacks not working and CP's desperate struggle to not die, had stopped with the random hand gestures and was now doing Micheal Jackson's moves from "Thriller", on the off chance that would help.

[Cloud]

"Try moon walking, that could help", Cloud laughed, turning to Kaz.

With a swish of his cloak, Cloud had lunged at the wolf hoping to distract it long enough for Coolpikaaa to recover from his wound. He was silently hoping he wouldn't end up with a similar one, it was such a chore removing ice.

[Shaon]

The wolf yelped once again, the metal covering his neck absorbing the shock and affecting him.

The memories flashed, again, leaving the mental image of a black cat.

He snarled, attacking Cloud instead of the rodent this time around, attempting to bite him, harm him somehow, coat him in ice like all the other things around him.

[Coolpikaaa]

Coolpikaaa finished his sliding attack in time to see Kaz start dancing.He couldn't help not laughing,and noticed as Cloud entered the fray.

Noticing the water expanding under him,coolpikaaa suddenly got a massive idea.

"Cloud JUMP!"Coolpikaaa yelled as he poured electricity into the liquid covering the floor.Sparks arced low over the water,and would zap anything still touching the ground.

Undine lept back in fear as the water she was melting began to crackle with electricity.

"Hey! Make sure you don't zap your allies too!" she yelled. However, it was reliving to see an ally making use of her abilities.

Also, she was also pleased that they seemed to be winning the battle against the ice-wolf, although Coolpikaaa seemed to already to have been slightly frozen.

To further offer her aid, she melted another section of ice that wasn't being electrocuted. However, once a two-foot puddle was formed, she pickd up all the water in the puddle and formed it into a ball. Then she flattened it, making sure its edges were sharp.

Finally, she froze it. Her creation was a sharp-edged disc of ice, which, when thrown, would cut anything that it hit. Or so she hoped.

For now, she stood back, waiting for a moment to strike.

((Somewhere in this fray, there is a small firestorm. It was sent at the wolf before Coolpikaaa slid under the wolf. There is some indication that magic may not be effective against the wolf, but I would appreciate knowing more about how the firestorm fared as it approached the wolf.))

[Kazumaru]

Kazumaru begun doing the silly walks he remembered, taken from plans from England's Ministry of Silly Walks, and suddenly found himself a foot above Articus, and quickly on top of him.

[Shaon]

((Shine, I didn't mention it because at first I did not see your post, but the firestorm wouldn't effect the wolf. The worst it would do would be to melt some of the ice, which would quickly freeze over again.))

The sparks did not effect the god this time, oddly, the puddle quickly freezing over again.

The disc of ice had no effect, either, hitting him at the neck and promptly shattering, hitting the ground.

Suddenly, a figure popped out of midair, falling upon him.

It was a spirit, and was quickly frozen over, clinging to his back tightly.

The wolf paused, distracted, before attempting to attack his backside, unsuccessfully.

[Shine]

Magically, things were almost ready, but it seemed to Whiteoak that now was not the right time, but it would be ready when needed... . . .

Suddenly he saw Kaz materialize, drop onto the back of the wolf and freeze solid ((boy, I hope I read that right))

Whiteoak quickly pulled his staff out of the sling on his back, he clicked on the tractor beam, targeted Kaz?, (the frozen thing on Arty's back) and tried to latch on and lift him (it) to safety. ((it's technology, not magic))

The black predatory feline crouching off to the side grew angry with frustration as he saw his friends thwarted in heir attempts. A deep malicious growl sounded in his throat.


((please clarify in next posts, if the wolf being is truly inside the corrupted cave, at the caves mouth, or now outside...))

((Yep, you're right about Kaz being on Articus' back... His arms are wrapped around his neck, though, so you can't lift him off. Not covering the collar.)
