The Last Stand

The fine particulate sand that had found its way into the HQ began to re-coalesce back into the form of the mini-rock monster, war club and all. It took a hard swing in the direction of Ensichrys, and if unchecked, (like by a duck or a miss,) its swing would carry through to the control plate by the door.

Perhaps the constant pummeling of the outside of the HQ by large boulders had affected the targeting of the defensive weaponry, perhaps not, perhaps because of the skill of the serpentine swarming of the other mini monsters (perhaps not,) perhaps just plain ol random probability but whatever, only two of the four mini monsters are now approaching Holloweyes, and they begin to throw rocks at him from a distance.

The rock monster coming up from the depths of the earth is increasing in its iron and other metals content, and the main Sycho Rox spirit is beginning to alter the magnetinc flow in the area, which inturn is affecting the rock monster.

~Boss, look out!~

The Jaw suddenly loosened itself from Ravana and snaked it's way around it's master, quickly forming a wall of chains to take the assault of boulders that had been launched by the mini-golems. HollowEyes was irritated to see Caton move in this way without any command, as it would've been easier for him to dodge the boulders with enough warning (and maybe some would've even hit Ravana), but there wasn't much that they could do about that now.

Ravana had been given a fairly hefty dose of despair, and though the Jaw had stopped biting him he'd still be feeling it's effects for a little while (though unfortunately for HollowEyes, these couldn't increase without the Jaw biting him again). The Parasitian Second-in-Command was confident that his Chains had done the job right, and perhaps this is why he was so easily caught off guard with Ravana's hidden maneuver.

The tail that burst out from the snow beneath him quickly wrapped around HollowEyes' leg, giving him only enough time to mutter some incomprehensible Parasitian swearing before Ravana suddenly pulled on him.

The HQ shook, and barreling through hidden doorways came two groups of plasma armed grunts, all single-minded and combat ready. These were the efficent elite of grunt kind, each one equipped with EC-Brand tech.
Each Grunt barreled through, spilling out onto the decks, looking out from small spy-holes within the HQ's internal bays.
They were mobile, efficent, and ready to take on the rock-monster threat.
There's a rock monster in the HQ.
Wel'll get it sorted.

[Cloud]

*Cloud had been asleep within the Mobile HQ for all this time, unable to be awoken. That is until a rock monster came a-knocking. As quick as a flash he picked up his gear and stormed after a few of the grunts that were just as motivated as himself to attack whatever was causing the disturbance. He looked up at the rock monster and realised he could do nothing, not while Ensichrys was in the way. When he saw an opportunity he would not hesitate to attack, but in the meantime he took aim with one of the grunt's sidearms that he had so politely offered Cloud.*

((I return! I would say 'return of the king', but it's not appropriate. Someone get me a crown immediately! ))

Ravana smiled evilly. For once, one of his attacks had actually succeeded.

When he looked up, he noticed HE's chain curled around the parasitian, forming a protective wall against the various boulders that were being flung by a pair of mini-golems.

"HEY! WATCH WHERE YOU AIM THOSE THINGS!" he yelled at the golems, not really expecting them to listen. His main concern was on getting HollowEyes close enough to get a good strike in.

His original plan was to just give a yank and drag HollowEyes towards him, but the CoD was in the way.

So instead, he pulled down quickly, then proceeded to pull HE fowards through the snow, going underneath the chain wall.

Elisah walked back into the rebel's dome. However, when she first came into the dome, her intentions were to help them. Now, it was to take the life of the leader.

She looked around, wondering just who that leader was...

Coolpikaaa paused his shaking of Genkaku to look up at Elisah who had just entered the dome.

"Hey,can you help me out?"

The first squad of a dozen Grunts form up behind the slits and gun ports in the hull of the HQ, and open fire with their high-power plasma rifles at the rock monsters outside. The members of the second squad organize themselves in the main coridoor of the HQ, just before the rock creature that has already made its way inside. They take cover in pairs behind anything they can, be it structural supports, doorways to other chambers, or whatever. They all aim for the beast, but, like Cloud, cannot fire for risk of hitting their ally. The squad holds their fire, but will shoot just as soon as the opportunity presents itself.

EnD spots the blue projectiles streaking towards the rock creatures, and he has confidence the EC Grunts can handle their foes. He turns his attention towards the battle between Hollow Eyes and Ravana, and realises there isn't much he can do in the air to help his ally. With a loud burst from the thrusters he changes course, touching down on the opposite side of Ravana than HollowEyes, kicking up a whirlwind of snow. He positions the craft perpendicular to the enemy about 25 yards out, so upon opening the rear hatch Ravana cannot see inside.

He rushes away from the control console where he was seated and over to a panel on one side of the rear chamber. Pressing a combination of buttons on the panel, it lifts open upwards revealing an alarming arsenal of Yaut'Jian weapons. His Combistick and Plasmacaster he keeps on his person always, but from the cabinet he retrieves the Smartdisc, Netgun, and five small remote-detonated bombs.

Upon holstering all his armaments he locks out the controls to the spacecraft, should anyone try to steal the weapons, or even the craft itself. The Predator then activates his cloaking device, and makes his way out onto the tundra, silently moving towards Ravana...

"Hey, can you help me out?"

Elisah turned to face Coolpikaaa. That was also the first time that she noticed Genkaku, who was currently unconscious. Not that she thought any good of it.

"Depends. What do you need help with?" she asked, guessing the pikachi wanted help in awaking Genkaku.

[Coolpikaaa]

'We should try to wake him up,check if he is ok,he hit the ground VERY hard after all..."

Coolpikaaa at that moment noticed the bloody dagger.Something made him very uneasy looking at it...

"Hi,I am coolpikaaa,I kinda started this little rebellion..."Coolpikaaa couldn't take credit as an official leader anymore,so many people had all helped him fight.

"What did you say your name was again?"

Ensichrys looked wildly about. He had just realized he had no idea what was going on.

Crack! An object slightly larger than a pebble smacked Ensichrys in the jaw. This was painful. Ensichrys saw the armed grunts, Cloud, and the rock monster, all about to cream him in their battle.

Ensichrys looked to the rock monster again. "He's all yours!" Ensichrys then dashed well out of harm's way.



Mortracta was at a loss. She was completely idle and wondering what she could do to help. She decided on remaining dormant until she was called again. It would make for a nasty surprise.


It always did.

(( ??A small pebble sized thing?? The smashing side of the war hammer of a mini-monster would have a six inch diameter or thereabouts, so I'm going to take that as a miss on Ensichrys.))

Having missed his first target the mini rock monster continued with the follow-through on the swing and smashed into the buttons on the control panel of the door with great force. Then, following the fleeing Ensichrys for cover, he charged at Cloud, swinging the axe-bladed end of the war hammer at his target.

The Rock Monster who had been arms, and had been dragged into the earth came to the surface now. By this time he was composed of a variety of metals, iron being promenant, but alloyed with a number of things for additional strength, and magnetic properties. He stood and looked around just in time to see one of the remaining two mini-monsters get blasted by the HQ's defensive fire. The stoney steel equivalent of ANGER welled up inside of it, and the next thing it focused its eyes upon was the conflict involving something wrapped up in chains. But then it saw something else, something that piqued its curiosity. Footsteps in the snow being made by nothing, moving towards the pile of chains and Ravana. He hurled a 1 foot iron ore boulder at whatever was making the footprints in the dusty tundra snow cover. Just after that, a plasma burst from the HQ hits him on the left shoulder blade, melting a small patch on his back.

((What is the location of all the characters at this point? As I view it, EnD, Ravana, and Hollow Eyes are all off to the southwest of the ECHQ, ordered from farthest to nearest. We mentioned that the Ravana-HollowEyes fight was father from the HQ than the Golems are. I presume since the arm-golem is throwing rocks at me it has a clear line of sight, so that would put it perhaps to the west of the HQ, but closer to it? So from my perspective I would be seeing Ravana blocking my view of HollowEyes, but to the left of them a bit and farther off is the Golem and HQ behind it...ah, maybe I'm reading into it too much. To make a long story short (too late...) the way I see it, the rock must be coming from somewhere in my field of vision.))

The HUD of the Predator's mask paints a triangle around the incoming boulder, detecting the movement and instantly alerting its wearer of the danger. With this advanced warning EnD is easily able to sidestep out of the rock's path, disappointed but not too surprised at the Grunts' apparent ineptitude at dealing with or at least distracting the Golems.

Ravana doesn't seem aware of the Yaut'Ja's presence yet, so he refrains from firing a responding shot at the Golem. He picks up his pace towards the Enigma of Time, gathering momentum for an all but certainly lethal wristblade stab to the back. As he nears his prey however, he becomes aware of the large spines on the creature's back, and is surprised at having not noticed them sooner. The Hunter grinds the charge to a halt, only feet from his would-be victim. Just as he stops his attack, a cry from Hollow Eyes alerts him that his ally is in trouble.

Though Ravana is tall and wide enough to prevent the Yaut'Ja from seeing what is happening to the S-i-C, he notices the creature's tail burrowed in the snow. Taking his Combistaff from it's holster and telescoping it to its six-foot length, he grips it near one end and makes a widely arced and thusly powerful swing towards the much less spiky tail, hoping to sever it at it's base.

((Since there is no mention of Ravana even noticing the ship setting down behind him, I assume he must have all his attention on Hollow Eyes and wouldn't notice my character coming up behind him. Of course, correct me if I'm wrong.))

Ravana felt some resistance from the other end of what his tail was holding. Looking over to the Chain, he realized that the SiC must be holding onto the chain.

In response, he stuck his other two tails into the snow, hoping to ensnare HE's other leg and get the parasitian within striking distance quicker.

He moved his right tail more towards the right, in an attempt to loosen the grip on the chain. However, he also unwittingly saved it from being cut off by an extremely narrow margain. In fact, the bottom of it was badly cut, spewing the enigma's silver blood onto the snow.

Wincing in pain from this, he looked over in that direction-and saw nothing, except a large ship parked right on the snow. Suddenly, he realized he was outnumbered.

There was no way he could take on 2 or more EC members at once, even as one of the strongest rebels. Therefore, he forgot about his plan to kill HE-instead, he would take him prisoner and ask the rest of the team on what he should do with him.

Right now, it was time to get out of here before his weak spot got hit and he fell dead.

To protect himself from any future attack, he raised another time-stopping field. However, this one was much smaller, and only went around Ravana's immediate area.

"My name is Elisah." said the Chinese Wind Sorceress to Coolpikaaa, now knowing what her target was.

She noticed she had forgotten to sheathe the dagger covered with dried blood. To prevent suspicion, she quickly did so before kneeling down next to Genkaku.

"Just how am I supposed to attempt to wake him up if shaking him doesn't work?" she asked.
