The Guardians vs The Felbeasts

Eve hadn't expected the muppet to be a long-range attacker. Luckily, the distance for the plasma volleys to reach her was long enough that she had time to respond and move out of the way by means of snapping her fans closed, going down on the ground and doing a shoulder roll. The fact that she had also been on guard helped as well.

If he got closer on his terms... she'd be screwed. Standing up, she smoothly tucked the unfurled fans back into her belt before hurriedly chanting the following incantation:

"Kaji seishou tame mai kyuujo... Hinotama!"

A blazing flireball left her hands and spiraled towards the muppet. Hoepfully it would provide enough of a distraction for her get closer to attack without allowing him to use that Plasma Rifle of his again.

After blasting Mayntor off of him, Whiteoak jumped to his feet and reached into his robe pocket for the second of his pre-made orbs (like the ones the hologram was juggling.) He pulled out the yellow one.

He saw the dark mage disappear into the rip. It's not good when a magician dissappears, he was about to spin around to scan for a reappearence when he felt the strike of the dark sword hitting him once again in the back, forceing him to the ground, face first in a snow drift, and crackihg a rib.

With a painful effort, he rolled, broke the orb with his hand and cast the spell at Mayntor. It it one of Whiteoak's most powerful bits of magic, it is the “Divine Energy of Creation” spell ("Let there be light”) This is the force that originally brought existence out of chaos at the time of creation. The effect being that anything hit with this would have what ever was good in it strengthened (even if it was just "honor among thieves" type stuff) and what ever was evil in it neutralized a bit, and nooo, it wouldn't be absorbed to make a bad thing stronger, it would dissipate a significant part of its evilness and energy as the two forces cancel each other out.

The Security Penguins, find themselves, under attack and shoot their rifles at the shadows which seem to be shooting something at them.
((could you be more specific about how the shadows are shooting, and what it is they are shooting??))

((the blood facton is the one with the shades in it, not the doom. the doom is the one with large humanoid demons with red skin. they use axes and halbreds. and the destruction, is the one with gnolls in it.))

Zerrer finished talking with the gnolls and then they started walking down the hill, hammers in hand..

Zerrer then flew down the hill and collided directly with whiteoak, using his "Raige" spell to bend any spells in his path.

((Zerrer, talk with Alakin and somebody please edit your posts. In his last post Alakin just had the shades attack the Security Pengins, and I remember shades being in the area for several pages. We will certainy fight with either type, but please do clarify who we are up against. and if we are now against both, make that clear.))

Whiteoak was startled as he was smacked into by Zerrer. Doing his best to reinforce his severely weakened magical shielding, Whiteoak reached to grab Zerrer by the throat with his prosthetic, mechanical hand, in an attempt to squeeze Zerrer's windpipe shut.

The Security Penguins were continuing to shoot at whatever was moving their way and wasn't on their side. The Penguin Commander received a comm-link message that the backup generators were now functioning at a minimal level, and the plasma canons on the two turretts above the entrance and the two at the front corners were now targeting any non-guardian figures that the remote bugs could get target locks on.

(Four plasma bursts at any four physical opponents. Its automated at this point, you can pick who, and tell the effect)

A horn sounded to the right of the gnolls. Out from around the rear of the Citadel came a Puma going full speed, main gun blazing.

"Move your a**!" Goron screamed from behind the wheel. Not really expecting the dogs to obey this command, Goron plowed through the crowd, hitting as many as he could. The creatures made sickening noises as they were run over by the combat jeep.

"Dammit, I just had this thing washed!" Goron exclaimed, activating the windshield wipers, "Shadow, let em have it."

The Grendel swiveled the chain gun to fire on the horde of beasts that had been thrown into confusion and disarray by Goron's sudden appearance. The weapon's triple barrels fizzled with heat as the gun let loose its seemingly infinite supply of lead.

Goron yanked out the parking brake, gliding the Jeep into a smooth one-eighty. The Puma came to rest for only a second, in which the engine revved up to the red line. Letting loose the clutch, Goron took off at the gnoll army for another pass.

"HEY ZERRER! IF you're looking for the ranking officer of the Guardians I'm right here!" Goron called to Whiteoak's assailant.

[Zerrer]

((youre fighting demons, not shades or gnolls. The raige spell is one Zerrer learned from his hammer, which allows him to modify magic. the only problem is it must be used on a completed spell, not partial spells or pure magic.))

Zerrer smiled at whiteoak, then boosted off of his chest, flipping backwords and breaking whiteoak's grasp. he then thought about stealing whiteoak's protection, then thought against it. he turned to Goron.

"you know, i had to pay those gnolls!"

Zerrer leaped up onto Goron's puma, and then he pulled out his sword.

"So, i'm going to battle you and your ettin thing."

((The Shades are basically shooting wispy balls of weak magic. The shoot it by creating it in their hand and throwing it.))

Mantynor stepped back as Whiteoak's spell hit him, along with a blast of plasma on his back. His plates protected him from severe harm, but were seared by the plasma, weakening them considerably. He spun round, cursed the turrets, and turned back. He was panting heavily, both from having used his abilities and from Whiteoak's magic.

As Zerrer knocked the Norn down, he brought his longsword to his neck. In normal times he would have stabbed without thought, but now, he found it dishonourable, ignoring Goron's loud show, he spat at Whiteoak,
"Get up. I don't kill people on the ground."

The Shades, many bleeding, dark smoke curling from barely noticeable wounds, retreated slightly, as two of them were blasted by plasma. The wounded Shades fell, and changed into a dark liquid that stained the surrounding snow black.

"you know, i had to pay those gnolls!"

Goron stared.

"Then you should be greatful! I just saved you a bunch of money come next payday!"

Goron couldn't help but be impressed with Zerrer's amazing ability to lunge onto a moving vehicle from 10 plus feet away.

"Swords is it?" Goron said to the unwelcome passenger, "I've got one of those too!"

Goron's armband hummed and the two-pronged plasma sword extended outward, filling its magnetic field that gave it its shape. The superheated energy blade glowed as Goron released the wheel and swung his sword at Zerrer's weapon.

"When plasma meets metal, guess who loses!" Goron exclaimed, "You do!"

Knowing the drill, Shadow released the mounted gun and slid into the driver's seat so as to give Goron both hands and feet for combat. The Grendel floored it, quite an accomplisment for one of his height, and pulled another handbrake turn, redirecting the screaming metal death ball at Mantynor.

Whiteoak was startled as Zerrer so easily flipped out of a grip that could crush rock: "Man, that's one tough hombre" thought Whiteoak.

Addressing Goron, he called out "Good to see you, Goron, nice work on those back-up generators" but stopped as he felt a sword to his throat and spit on his face:

Zerrer was insulted by that remark, and rightly so.

"It's not metal..."

Zerrer blocked the attack, and then Zerrer's blade did a strange thing. it roared. the sword had rune writings on it, sure, but in this case, the rune writings spelled an odd word "Kov'ag" that was not only the name of the dragon it was made from, but also Zerrer's surname.

"It's made of Dragon's bone"

Zerrer swung not at Goron, but at Shadow, the grendel Zerrer had called an ettin-thing just to anger Shadow, and perhaps Goron.

((I'm am curious, this is a challenge match, it didn't get going until after it was supposed to end, our former leader has gone missing, and I don't know who is supposed to be judgeing it.

Could we re-set an end point, as the EC wants a challenge too, and do we have or can we get a judge for the challenge? I don't think I am in any formal position to make any of those decisions, but now that our new leader is playing, perhaps you guys could address all that?

Mantynor smiled,
"A duel? Why not?" a growing noise, that of an engine, made him look to the side. There was a vehicle heading straight towards him! He leapt out the way, falling on his right arm, which had been wounded by the reflected dark energy, and now hurt more, as it scraped along the floor. Cursing his luck, he got up, retrieved his longsword, which had been dropped as he moved out the Puma's way, and faced Whiteoak.

"A duel, eh? What will it be? Two steps back, and then we face each other?" he said, his sardonic smile not quite reaching his eyes.

((I wonder if an Evil Council member would like to judge? Someone who's not in either TF or TG...

I say that we should continue role playing until we find a judge, and no longer than that. As soon as we find the judge that we both agree on, he makes the call.))

"My mistake."

Goron's blow somehow refracted off of Zerrer's blade, which was odd, considering that no matter what material his opponent's sword was, when plasma struck anything but plasma, it should have cut right through. Nonetheless, the blade had been parried.

"Hey hey hey!" Goron proclaimed in a "Fat Albert" fashion as Zerrer attempted to swing at Shadow, "Don't you know? Don't distract the driver!"

Goron brought his blade down to the side of Shadow's head and pinned Zerrer's sword in between the two prongs of his sword ((If you're having a tough time with the visualization, Goron's sword is basically a two-pointed fork made of plasma. He just blocked your attack by catching your sword in the center of the fork.)).

"Besides, I'm your opponent, not him."

He released his hold on the Puma's frame and used his free hand to through a punch at Zerrer, all the while trying to keep his opponent's weapon locked in the midst of his sword.

((I've got no problems with judging you lot (hey, that works in more than one sense ) if you want me to. Just let me know the deadline and I'll put up your marks then (or alternatively, chase me away OOC for interrupting your thread).

Since the Guardians seem to approve I'll just be waiting to hear from the Felbeasts. Of course, if they don't approve of me then you'll have to get someone else's help.))
