Like my Khajiit Qa-dar killing everyone in Balmora? I didn't expect that. Or Lynkin dying? I didn't expect that. I'm not actually quite sure he did. Anice should be able to come back to her body. I guess two Lynkin's running around might be weird... But she doesn't know that yet. _________________ Putteh! |

Now, I try to limit my characters to one RP globally, as to assist me with building a time line. But that's me, it's all a matter of personal preference.
As for multi-RP and multi-forum madness, my main character has actually died before (neat trick for an immortal). I had plans on how to revive him, but the RP got locked and died...thinking about it makes me want to remove one of Shaon's medals still.
But all that aside, I chose to place that RP on a different branch of the time line and continue using my character as he was before that RP, which ultimately lead to this place as a whole.
So yeah, that's my two cents while I have time to give them.
Oh, several RP's look like they may go medal, so keep your eye's open, Goron is right. RP's started by Admins or those that threaten Blackstar or the multiverse have a bad habit of going medal on us. _________________

You've got to be kidding me! That's why you said nothing about a rift?! What have you done this time?
And yeah, she just needs to step back into her body and she'll be fine, albeit asleep for several days, maybe even weeks. And after her long sleep, she'll still be tired all the time and incapable of doing very much. Her powers may even be permanently weakened.
Unfortunately, she doesn't know that all she needs to do is step back into her body. Therefore, unless someone helps she dies. |
Do you know how much you contradicted yourself? I said Murgowl gave you powers to fix that, then you said it wasn't needed as they would be fine. So that meant you would have received bonus powers, bu you rejected that too! Now you say that her powers will be damaged! For the love of... This is where I come down... -_- _________________ Putteh! |

DP its a shame that got locked, not least because I really wanted to know how you were going to get yourself out of that situation.
I haven't actually lost a main character in a long time, but I first started role-playing on the old Docking Station forum way back when no one really bothered with things like rules and storylines. Danikat died so many times.....
I think the most memorable was the time she was disintegrated, the dust was vacumed up and then the vacume was disintergrated, a smiley face was drawn in the dust and then it was divided into four piles and shipped to 4 corners of the universe.
Fortunately when it got there it was collected by her minions who painstakingly reassembled her, just in time for a late lunch. Fun times.
These days its a little more complicated but no one will mind if you have a system in place to ressurect your characters, or simply choose to continue using them and consider the RP where they died to be outside of their personal reality. _________________ Oh what a tangled web we weave when first we practice to decieve ~ Sir Walter Scott

Nooooooooo! You - can we swear on here? I don't think so.... - fizzle. I did post something saying that she would be told how to in the next post, but I think I accidentally deleted it! _________________ Putteh! |

Then just keep her at OT. She doesn't have to die, I'm editing my posts so that she doesn't. _________________ Putteh! |

| I still want her and Pheonix other places, too, they're my favourite characters. It's just really important in both backstories that their powers were hated and feared, not accepted as normal like they would be here. |
That could have happened before they came here! _________________ Putteh! |

The standard method of introduction into Psychotopia is simply a convenient Warp Portal - you could say this place chooses it's residents, not the other way around. However, feel free to come up with any interesting manner of arrival you like. ... and not everyone here is accepting of special powers, most notably the Corporation - at least those powers not strictly under their collective thumbs. _________________

Warp Portals being so common these days, that's a very reasonable excuse. _________________ Putteh! |

Well, they are the preferred method of travel, and stationary Warp Points are quite common here - the equivalent of a mundane transit system. The portable form of Warp Portal Generator is a closely guarded secret privy only to the Warp Exploratory Corps, though regular citizens can get their hands (hooves, tentacles, feelers, graspers, paws, claws, or other appendages) on keyed tokens - a sort of one way pass that goes to a set destination. Bloody expensive things though, and after a while they shatter. _________________
