Store description:

A run-down store on the edge of the Black Forest operated by HollowEyes. Mostly specializing in charm samples; one-use RP items ideal for devious traps and clever strategies.

• Blank Charms - A Blank Charm Leaf. Inscribed with glyphs, it can be bound into a functional charm.
  
• Devillish Squid Charm Sample - The Devilish Squid Charm Sample enables the user to spit a blinding ink. Accuracy over quantity.
  
• Diabolical Squid Charm Sample - The Diabolical Squid Charm Sample releases a billowing black fog. Quantity over accuracy.
  
• Petrified Beetle Charm Sample - The Petrified Beetle Charm Sample hardens whatever part of the foe's body it is applied to into stone. Hinders the opponent's movements and slow them down.
  
• Razorback Fiend Charm Sample - The Razorback Fiend Charm Sample summons a trio of Razorback Fiends to do your bidding.
  
• Solidified Beetle Charm Sample - The Solidified Beetle Charm Sample turns whatever part of the user's body it is applied to into stone. Doubles up as both an offensive and defensive item.
  
• Troublesome Cactus Charm Sample - The Troublesome Cactus Charm Sample shoots long spines at your foe.
  
• Vexing Fox Charm Sample - The Vexing Fox Charm Sample is usually applied to the hands or head. It sharpens the fingers into razor-like claws and gives the user a set of needle-sharp fangs.
  
• Vile Toad Charm Sample - The Vile Toad Charm Sample leaks out a hallucinogenic toxin that affects all who inhale it.

((I had typed up a bit of a story like a few of the others did, but then it occured to me that it was far too long to be a simple description, which might have been what was required. Well, anyways, since I kind of liked this story, I'll leave it up anyway, just in a different post so that things are easier to see.))

Store Backstory:

It's been disturbing you for some time now - the Black Forest. Home to the Evil Council, and who knows what else, the only advice you'd received on this place when questioning others is "stay away". But now there's something you can't ignore.

In the dead of the night, lights can be seen from the edge of the forest. You're almost positive it's some kind of trick, yet you find yourself lured to it, like a moth to a flame. Eerie music eminates from the source of the light, and you can occassionally hear horrific shrieks coming from it as well.

Upon closer inspection, you can see that the source of the light is in fact a run-down convenience store. Part of a chain, this particular store had obviously seen better days, with broken windows and graffiti being the least of it's problems. You approach the building, overwhelmed by your own sense of curiosity.

Before you can enter, the electronic doors shudder open, and a cloaked man runs out. A shriek not unlike those you'd been hearing earlier sounds, and something shoots out from the store, skewering the man in the leg. He drops what he was trying to steal and is screaming in agony.

Two short figures appear at the store front, the shorter of which retracts her tendril at the command of the other, leaving the man to limp away as best he can. Both of them notice you, and bow slightly. The taller one speaks to you, as the shorter one re-enters the store. "Sorry you had to see that, but theives and the like are rather commonplace around here."

He picks up the stolen goods and leads you inside the store. The interior appears to be mostly destroyed, save for a few shelves and the front desk. The shelves appear mostly empty except for several small items, and the letters 'EC' appear to have been spray-painted quite a bit on the inside of the store as well. The taller one identifies himself as HollowEyes, and the shorter one as Little Sister. The sign outside the building reads: 'The Inconvenience Store'.

Ok, I'm thinking of adding a few new charms, but I'd like some public feedback first. If you'd like to test them out with no limits for free, then go to the training thread here , or you can just read the descriptions here and let me know what you think via PM/IM. Do you like/hate them? Is there any way in which you think that they should be improved?

The reason I'm looking for feedback like this is because I'm interested in what kind of things people want to be able to use - each of the three charms I've put up for use are very different from each other. The charms are as follows:

Ok, I've added all the charms from the product testing, as I think that enough people have tried them now to deem them a success, and I've also added another two charms to celebrate Blackstar reaching it's 10,000th post.

Charm of the Voracious Shark is a 'physical enhancement' kind of ability, designed purely for offense. It's designed to let you rip chunks out of your enemy or other things, and with the teeth able to regrow automatically in an instant if they're broken, you should be able to make good use of the 3-5 posts it affects you for.

Charm of the Energetic Kangaroo is another 'physical enhancement' kind of ability, designed mostly for offense, but with some defensive strategies in mind. Keep in mind when jumping though that you must take the rest of your char's body into account - this charm enhances the strength of your legs, but not the rest of you. Things like jumping off a skyscraper with it probably aren't a good idea.

The charms used in the product testing will remain in the Inconvenience Store, however, these two new charms are limited edition - after two weeks (from when I can stock them), I will stop selling them.

Once we reach 25,000 posts, I will bring in some new limited edition charms for two weeks, so yes, I plan on doing this at every milestone post celebration. The theme for these two was physical enhancement for offensive purposes, but the next ones might be completely different, so if you like these charms, I'd suggest you buy them whilst you can.

After a few difficulties with the store system and a lot of help from Embri, I finally managed to re-stock the Inconvenience Store, as mentioned in my news-sig *points below*.

So after much delay (a lot more than the two weeks I said they'd be availabe for ), the Shark and Kangaroo charms were re-stocked for the very last time ever, and they are now sold out forever. Congratulations to whoever snapped up these rarities, they are yours to do with as you wish (whether that be selling them, using them or whatever else one might do with them).

As mentioned in my previous post, I'll be creating a new set of limited edition charms for the next Blackstar milestone event, which seems most likely to be at 25,000 posts (just so you now, we're currently at 14,060). I also hold sales for some occasions, so keep an eye out for those too.

Two updates in the same day!

In case you haven't noticed, the Inconvenience Store now has it's very own stock (Inconvenient Stock as I like to call it *gets tomatoed for his bad humour*).

Abbreviated as ICS, there are exactly 3760 shares in the Inconvenience Store available to the public. I currently own 2000 of these shares, which gives me a majority of 53.19%, though that leaves 1760 shares (46.80%) for you, the loyal customer, to buy and sell as you wish. My majority gives me a little breathing space, so I might be inclined to sell some of my stock at a later date, which would change this number slightly.

Good things will certainly happen to you if you buy Inconvenient Stock, so buy it quick before someone else does!

As you may or may not be aware, the 20th of October just so happens to be my birthday . So in celebration of this, the Inconvenience Store is having a 25% off sale all weekend, and I've created another limited edition charm. This one was created with the aid of my stockholders (a bonus benefit of being an Inconvenient Store Stockholder), and as such most of the credit should go to them for the idea . I'm sure most of you can figure out who the main contributor for this particular charm was anyway .

The newest limited edition charm is the Charm of the Alluring Peacock, a rather unique kind of charm that's certainly very different to anything I've tried before. It's an 'enchantment' kind of ability, since when applied to the user, this charm will make them appear irresistible to almost anyone. On the flip side, when the user applies this charm to a foe, it instantly makes them attracted to the charm user. As I'm sure I've mentioned before, these limited edition charms are guaranteed to never be used by HollowEyes, so there's no other way to get them. Like the previous limited edition charms, I'll stop selling them FOREVER after two weeks, so if you are interested in them, I'd suggest buying them asap.

Ok, my store info is going to be massively updated later today, I just wanted to let people know that I'm once again selling stuff, but there's a few important things to take note of.

Firstly, note that these are all charm samples, not actual charms - unlike HollowEyes' charms, these ones don't always work. Some of you might not like this change in my products, but this is just how it's going to be from now on (because unless I wanted to make people pay many many thousands of yen for my items I had to do it this way).

Also, in what some may think is a strange move, I'm selling some of my personal synth ingredient - the charm leaf. The reasons for this are:
(a) everybody loves to synth, and with this raw ingredient you can enjoy finding out how to make the charm samples
(b) I never intend to make anything else out of charm leaves except for other charm samples, so there's no harm in releasing them to the public imo
(c) Most important of all, you can synth some charm samples that won't be sold at the Inconvenience store.

Atm everything is severly underpriced, mostly because I don't know how much it should actually cost just yet but also because I want to see people using my charm samples.

The prices will probably jump up a bit later on this week, and I won't be restocking before I work out the proper prices either, so go nuts whilst you can afford to .

A small post for some minor updates that are worth taking note of.

First up, you might've noticed the recent change in ownership at ICS. Yep, now the Inconvenience Store is run by it's rightful owner, HollowEyes. This is partly because I wanted to stop getting all of those annoying PMs every time somebody bought something, but also because I can now use the HollowEyes account exclusively for charm production (like most people I created it for the Grove RP thingy).

Keeping in line with that news, you'll also notice the price drop. Almost all charms have been discounted because I finally got around to doing the math and working out how much profit I make. Also, HollowEyes is more generous to customers than I am

Finally, it seems that we're getting dangerously close to a milestone post - 40,000! I can't remember the last time I celebrated a milestone post event, so I'll be sure to come up with something special for this one .

EDIT: Or not! I doubt that anybody noticed this anyway, but we're now at 41,000 posts. I'll be creating something special between now and 50,000, so that way I can avoid the rush in celebrating. Will it be a special kind of charm or an entirely new item? Only time will tell

Call it a celebratory act if you like, but I've added a few charms to the store that previously were not for sale (ie: you had to synth them). If you're struggling with this synth system or you're just plain lazy, now's your chance to have these charms! There's the alluring peacock charm sample, the energetic kangaroo charm sample and the voracious shark charm sample. Enjoy!
