Lightblades

Lightblades are a sort of sword-however, they are not made by weaponsmiths, but instead, a being with a strong connection to the elements can summon one.

Structure: Lightblades appear to be made of metal and other typical weapon materials, but they are actually composed of the element they represent. Shape varies on the type of Lightblade (covered later).

Size: Depends on the Lightblade and what kind of creature is using the lightblade-usually, Earth Blades are the largest, while the light element blade is the smallest.

Usage: After being summoned, they can be used in the typical manner of the sword, or they can channel the power of a certain element. Only one can be summoned at a time.

To summon a Lightblade, the user puts his/her faith in calling upon the elements and the natural parts of his/her surroundings (e.g trees). If the target is successful, the blade will appear in its weilder's hands in a show out of its element. However, the user cannot decide what the element of the blade is-the element the user has the strongest connection to is the element of the blade. In addition, cyborgs or beings with cybernetic parts cannot summon Lightblades, because the un-natural metal parts sever the connection to Nature.

The Elements of the Blades

Fire-The Fire Element blade appears in the form of an exploding flame in its wielder's hand before materilzing into a triangular sword with an orange blade.
Easily one of the most powerful blades, the Fire Blade allows its user to control the element of Fire.

Water-The Water Element blade first appears in the form of an extremely focused rainshower onto its weilder's hand before becoming a sword with a diamond-shaped, blue blade with a triangluar-hooked tip (This one is easier to describe with a picture, which I don't have.)
The Water Blade not only allows the user to control the element of Water, it enables the user to breathe underwater and pull himself/herself through the water very fast.

Earth-Of the Lightblades, the Earth element blade is the one least deserving of the term 'Sword'-after it forms from a column of earth from the ground into the user's hand, its brownish-black blade is formed from at least 7 cones stacked end to end.
This one is very destuctive. In addition to controlling the Earth element, the user is able to cause objects to explode upon contact.

Air-The Air element blade forms from a whirlwind in the user's hand before developing into a greenish-silver sword with an undulated, curved blade that tapers towards the tip.
The Air Blade allows users to control the Air element, in addition to having some healing abilities (not as potent as the Light element, however).

Light-The Light Element blade forms as a beam of light in its user's hand before developing a white/silver sword with a leaf-shaped blade.
Although it's attacks can be potent, what the Light element blade is most useful for its excellent healing abilities and being able to greatly increase a target's lifespan.

Shadow-This blade is the exact opposite of the Light element blade-after turning into a black-red sword with a deeply serrated blade from bolts of Dark lightning coming into the user's hand, it is able to greatly reduce a victim's lifespan and delivering uncureable wounds. It drains life from foes via dark lightning bolts emitted from the tip. In addition, it is able to cover its weilder in darkness and allow the user to melt into the shadows.
